Samus charging up her Arm Cannon and just shooting Kraid in his mouth is just absolutely hysterical! You gotta love her “Can you hurry it up? I've hot places to be and shit to do” energy.
Yeah samus' stances and movements before she finishes bosses off in this game is pretty badass. Like when she beats corpius all she does is charge up a shot and calmly walk to the side before she flips through the space in it's tail, shoots and kills it.
@@yokai59loi36 No, I mean you see 4 E.M.M.I's before facing the green one. First was the broken one, then white, then green, then yellow. You defeat the green one after seeing the yellow one and getting the wide beam.
@Lonely KATT then after you get the morph ball you can't go back and get everything you missed right away, places close off access and you have to start teleporting around and get stuck in certain areas. they really put a lot of thought into the design of these levels.
33:10 This is why Samus is an actual strong female character. She isn't invincible, but she is very capable. Nonchalantly blasting Kraid in the throat is just the icing on the cake. I couldn't help but laugh, she's just like "Yeah, yeah. Roar all you like." Not like she hasn't ever faced him/her/it before, and it probably won't be the last time either.
Who else was n'synced when grabbing the varia suit? Also: Kraid: ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAR Samus: shut the fuck up, ive got other shit to do. shoves charged shotdown his throat
It's staggering to think that you could entirely erase adam from this game and lose absolutely nothing They do a plenty good job introducing game mechanics through gameplay without that dude taking five minutes to explain it to you four different ways
So i did this fight pretty early on and I don’t know if I was supposed to but the game didn’t explain why kraits is there, do you find out later? Don’t spoil but if I missed something before the fight let me know
I'm a bit bothered by the story behind the EMMI. They were sent by the federation. If the federation can create robots immune to anything Samus can throw even at full power, it makes me wonder how many of the Metroid games that the federation could have handled by sending EMMIs instead of Samus. I suppose that metroids can always beat the EMMIs by just draining their energy instead of destroying their material, but how would other enemies, like Ridley and Mother Brain, have nay chance against EMMIs? Likewise, if the federation can produce something like EMMIs, it can easily mass produce something that's less advanced and powerful, but is still tremendously powerful and easily capable of taking out hundreds of space pirates alone. Mind you, this game looks absolutely awesome and I don't play Metroid games for the story, but it does annoy me that the writers just with some offhanded text manages to introduce potential plotholes. Well, maybe this game does later explain how the federation was able to produce them, but for some reason didn't send EMMIs in any of the earlier games.
I suppose the weakness with automated weapons like the EMMI is remote hacking - which is demonstrated in the game's story. It's hard to say how common this countermeasure is in this universe, but when you have Mother Brain - level threats taking control of living organisms (Metroids) remotely, hacking robots away from their handlers' control might be childs play for any AI.
@@ZappBranniglenn I dunno, can you remotely hack the US war drones for example? I've never ever heard of that risk even being discussed and there's a lot of discussions about them. How the heck would you even go about it? I'm also not sure the EMMI were remotely hacked, Raven Beak may have overpowered them and then reprogrammed them.
@@Crystalgate Hacking, reprogramming. Same thing right? One of the gallery images shows Raven beak shooting off the arm of that first EMMI you face. All he needed to do was capture one in order to take command of the rest. I assume the same principal applies to any machine in real life. Shoot one down, learn how to deactivate more of it with some kind of scrambling frequency, capture the rest, then reprogram them. The Galactic Federation probably had no reports of intelligent life on ZDR, so they would have had no reason to fear this possibility.

I love how samus just stands there like a stone cold killer as Kraid roars at her before she fires a charged shot in his mouth.

How an improvement over the stupidity that was Other M.
She’s like a honey badger: she don’t give a 💩.
samus when seeing kraid: how have i not driven your damn species to extinction yet
I can't believe it took 4 E.M.M.Is to see in order to get the morph ball, which is usually the first power up to get in every Metroid game!!
:D
3. 3 E.M.M.I's not four.

I like how each emmi’s ability are using samus abilities just like bosses in metroid fusion how they uses some of the samus’s abilities.
Dread is the sequel to Fusion.
Maybe the Galactic Federation based the EMMI on Samus's power suit abilities.
Kraid!!! I died 3 times to him, but I didn't care. I was just so happy to see my 2nd favorite Space Pirate again! I missed him.

Finally a walkthrough that isn't hard/cringe to watch.
His speed is set to _Nyoom._
Thank you for playing this, the game is like a unrequited love of mine and you are doing an amazing job playing it!
Kraid is back? Cool. And it has similar attacks from his previous appearances.
1 hour to get morph ball.
now that's something new to the series
33:15 Samus just fired a charge shot straight into Kraid's mouth!
Oh your were already a great player coming into this. Excellent job!
Is anyone else finding this game significantly harder that any other Metroid game?
Try playing NES Metroid
didn’t find og as hard as dread but yeah loving the challenge
33:07
Samus: OH, you again
Poor Kraid, Samus didn't even think of him as a threat throughout the entire battle.
U mad Lad! Already doing a 100%!.
Hold on! Kraid?! In the immortal words of Homer, “Sweet merciful crap!”
Thank you for having a detailed walk through of this game.

the first time i played this and got here, i stopped to take a look at the graphics. i was in awe and took a screenshot.
Man, I just fought Kraid today, and I cannot help but feel sorry for the big guy. Being chain up like that.... :(
Wow you made me want to play it more!
been binge watching this

Why not play it?
@@JohnJohnson-pw9nu was going to, but I don’t mind watching these videos instead
Seeing Kraid like that kinda hurt :(
gameplay so good i almost forgot to do my flyers until my alarm went off!
“ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!
(That's probably a greeting.)" -Kraid @ 33:12
"Haha, arm canon go boom!" -Samus, immediately after Kraid's greeting.
this gameplay is way better then the last gameplay ive watched
Like a pro man!!!!✊🔥🧙♂️ From a veteran Metroid player I amend you Lad
I like how well made Kraid looks in this game.
Oh man i need this game!
That’s the hardest I ever had to work just to get the morph ball
Thanks Bounty Hunter

Kraid: ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAR
Samus: shut the fuck up, ive got other shit to do.

Looks like Kraid got Crocmired.
(Say that 3x fast.)
"scary" cool how you know exactly where to go 😎😳🙌🔥
23:21 - Similar models to Mother Brain.
Samus the female Kratos!
Awesomeness please do more thanks 👍👍👍👍👍

36:51 wonder how you can destroy the area in the top left
Great
How do your gun to rapid fire like that?
Is Kraid optional? he seems well hidden.

Kraid!? That can't be! He's dead!
*Looks at all the dead Ridleys.*
Strange, isn't it?
No, he’s resting.
He’s resting I’m sure
How did you get this early

I felt like it was implied that the EMMIs were newly-developed and this was the Federation’s first time using them.
