Citizens should have to vote for this kind of thing. You just dont start charging people additional tax or fee without them at least being warned about it first. Play close attention to your receipts folks.
Yup Wal-Mart charged me 18 dollars tax on a 90 dollar phone card, this is bull carp double taxing and they can stick it.And if we let this go in five years they will triple it,why not there getting away with it now.
My receipt is tax 1 is 9.26 Tax 2 is 6.25 This a lot of tax whether it's a fee or tax why am I being charged for it I'm not in support of it it's hard enough to pay for groceries with the inflation going on right now ....I know I've probably been paying this for a while and didn't realize it but now that prices are increasing I'm paying a lot more attention to my spending .. I live on fixed income... just trying to survive... quit taking my money. Thank you
It’s worse where I live, they charge two taxes, first one is 9.35% second is 6.35%.! I’m think of not shopping there or finding another one. I guess I our city went crazy offering them tif money and now they’re bleeding us dry.
Same here, our’s says Tax 1 - 9.1%, Tax 2 - 2.5% and it doesn’t have the PIF in front of it. So, I don’t know what that extra tax is for her in Arizona!
😂😂😂 so Walmart pays millions of dollars to move into an area lobbies at the government to allow them to build special parking lots that are way too big and then charges every customer tax to pay that back basically. So Walmart got to move in for free. This guy is cool paying for Walmart to move in. Will Walmart make billions of dollars a year? Why can't they pay to move in somewhere??
Stores (WalMart included) don't levy taxes -- but they are compelled by law to collect them. If you don't like the tax, take it up with your state, county and/or city politicians. They can all it a fee all they want, but if you are paying it to a govt entity, it is for all intents and purposes, a tax. The only difference is semantics.
one reason they charge 2 taxes is because its so small they know no ones going to file a lawsuit. the second reason is because walmart wants that free tax day money back. 3 is because it goes into police banks.........................
It's a flat fee, not a tax even though it has a % symbol after the fee, which should probably be corrected. But the amount is indeed just five cents...
I think this interstate migration is the main reasons, this state is adding up more taxes. The higher population, the more taxes to fix the infrastructure.
I don’t know about the PIF thing but when there is Tax 1 & Tax 2, they never get taxed at the same time for the same item. Does that make sense? So for example, most groceries from Walmart aren’t taxed at Tax 1, but only on Tax 2. But other mostly non-food items get taxed at the Tax 1 rate, but not Tax 2 also. But the example in the video here seems to do both taxes for the same item, that’s why I say I don’t know if it’s because of the “PIF” thing that I don’t know about. Someone mentioned it is a flat fee so that could have something to do with it. But bottom line, the same item doesn’t get taxed by both taxes from my experience.

Just noticed mine because I switched to Pre Pay to avoid BS charges
That would be 20% in tax! Are you sure that’s where the 18 extra dollars is coming from? Lol
My receipt is tax 1 is 9.26
Tax 2 is 6.25
This a lot of tax whether it's a fee or tax why am I being charged for it

Shows how sneaky they are
People in my area would see that as a public tax on a private property...that wouldn't fly.
Ok so what if we don't want your improvement.

In Alabama in my Walmart receipt I literally from where I just bought groceries has "Tax 1 10% & Tax 2 9%"
This is RIDICULOUS!
This makes zero sense! If its a fee it shouldn't be on a store fee!!!
Government needs to step in. this is hidden fees.
Fast forward to 4 years after this... It no longer says pif... It just says tax 2, no fee like they said. Now its 7.45% and 3.0%
Ok, so I got taxed 10% and 9% on a 300. Grocery bill?? On my last month's bill, I only got taxes once for 10% and it was more.
Was it food?
So they can violate the federal constitution and not be held accountable but let a regular jo do that and they are charged for it
No my walmart says tax 1 7% and tax 2 says 3% no pig in front of tax 2. So what is tax 2 for?
Same here, our’s says Tax 1 - 9.1%, Tax 2 - 2.5% and it doesn’t have the PIF in front of it. So, I don’t know what that extra tax is for her in Arizona!
This is weird! 2023?!I JUST LEFT MY Florida WALMART This morning and the Receipt
*Notmal Tax1 7% then I Saw*
*Tax11 10.000??*
*WTH???*

Went to Walmart yesterday, the sales tax is 10.25%
just call irs and report them
Public infrastructure? Well shouldn't that be covered under the taxes being paid already, why is it separate?
Tax free State?🤔I have a tax #4 & #7 one 9% & 7% on other Along with a 911 fee of .75 Cent. WTF. 🙄
This is crazy. Get money from the people. At wrong. Wal-Mart is out line.

Wal mart reported to Better business bearurea their not honering the double tax!
Just go to another Walmart in another city.
one reason they charge 2 taxes is because its so small they know no ones going to file a lawsuit.

Yea lol just went to McDonald's and got taxed. Tax 1 6%. Tax 2 6.5%.
Just noticed this on my receipt wherw I was not charged tax.then I were

What makes you think that?
