I've asked other fans online, and I'll ask here to see if anyone else has a source I've not yet seen: was "The planet broke before the Guard" REALLY something the fandom came up with? And if so, do we know which genius first wrote it?

I have never loved a Imperial Guardsmen Regiment in my entire more then the Cadian Shock Troopers, they are my favorite and the best I have seen!!
They fight even harder to avenge their dead world and they have been valuable in turning the tide or playing a huge part in winning various conflicts across the Galaxy. They are the perfect epitome of what a soldier is meant to be

Regarding the rank of Castellan:
A Castellan rules (at least in spirit) one of the Kasr fortress-cities back on Cadia. Although it might be thought of as a honour-rank, in practice Castellans in the field tend to command multi-regiment battlegroups, a good example of which might be that of Castellan Jakren Stein, who led the 1651st through 1657th regiments on Alaric Prime. Thus, to compare it to modern military hierarchies, the position can be considered analagous to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Abaddon finally broke the original Cadia, only for whole new versions of it to be founded all over the place... I can imagine him tearing at his topknot in frustration! 😂

A phrase that is entirely literal. According to the books of the fall, as the planet broke apart, many Guard units abandoned their foritifed positions or launched out of hidden hangars. They would charge and attack across the shifting landscape. The Forces of Chaos thinking they had won the battle found themselves facing an enemy who knew they were to die and intended to drag the Enemy to Hell with them.

Death korp of kreig please, I know the templin Institute is probably saving that for a rainy day but I would absolutely love a video on them. They definitely have the lore to make a long enough video and the siege of vraks book just dropped.
