jordan's fade away are much harder to defend even though dirk is taller. jordan is much faster and stronger has more hangtime and he can utilize many options in the post like driving through the basket or making passes while in the air making his defender having a hard time to guess while dealing with his amazing athleticism and basketball IQ

I rate Tim Hardaway`s crossover over AI`s. Timmy used to do it while running full speed to the defender. A beauty to watch..
And MJ fadeway is probably missing aswell. It was as deadly as Nowitzki`s. Still remember the All Star game in NY (2001?!), when MJ pulled of that fadeway in overtime..

Crossover jumpshot from the top of the key
    2. Hakeem Olajuwon
    Dream shake baseline jumper.
    3. Magic Johnson
In the lane, fake pass right, fake pass left, lay up.
    4. Allen Iverson
    Cross over dribble anywhere.
    5. Charles Barkley
Running the floor, leading the fast break, multiple head bobs to signal a fake pass, coast to coast dunk or layup.
    6. Kareem
    Sky hook, nuff said.
    7. Clyde Drexler
Three jump shots in a row, next play head bobs to fake jump shot, fakes out entire defence, drives lane for easy layup.
    8. Tim Duncan
Head down on defence, looks like he's not paying attention, fakes away from play, fills passing lane and gets steal.
    9. Kobe Bryant
Fakes drive to the lane, fade away jumper.
    10. Robert Horry
Goes 0-7 from the floor, last play of game hiding baseline, moves to wing, gets the pass from center, game winning three pointer.

Dream Shake was not a shot fake. It was a shoulder shimmy that Hakeem would either then shoot a baby hook in the middle over his left shoulder or a baseline fade over his right shoulder. There were variant moves as well, but it was never a shot fake.

Michael Jordan's double clutch layups? I mean, nobody will ever be able to finish at the rim like Jordan and Jordan almost always changed shots midflight to fool his defenders and finish through contact

    • @adamgottlieb5818

Logan Diomandes Jordan did it best. I do love how Rose would be crafty and use both arms to shove the defenders arms away before clutching the ball back and laying it in, but Jordan was ridiculous.

The original plan was just to occasionally upload NBA mixes. Then we started doing top 10s and all that, but kept the name because 1) we didn't want to confuse people by changing it, and 2) we couldn't think of anything better. 😀

Yea, the euro-step or crossover should probably be considered "honorable mentions." The move that should have or had a very likely chance of being considered a top 5 offensive move would definitely be the Jordan/Kobe/(maybe) Karl Malone fade away jump shot

    How to block dirks fadeaway
1: get ready if he's about to do it
2: jump before he shoots it
3: if you can't block him get someone to go behind
4 get the guy to take the ball when he puts on above his head
