- The wait is finally over. Here is our reaction to the Comic-Con trailer of Black Panther Wakanda Forever. We were alerted of the release of this trailer from our patrons while we were live streaming the Gray Man. Our patrons got to see us react to this live! Thank you! We really enjoyed being able to share this moment with you!
We think some of the events in the movie will take place during the 5 year blip. We think it may be possible that the MCU did recast T'Challa but didn't say anything and has been able to keep it a secret. Or they have decided to just rename someone as the Black Panther. But who???
This was an emotional rollercoaster and we can't wait to see the film in November. We will be doing out best to avoid any other trailers or reactions because we want to go in with no expectations and have everything be a surprised as usual!
We are so excited to see Michaela Cole join Black Panther and the MCU! We have loved her since Chewing Gum! Her masterpiece, I May Destroy You, is a must watch!
Looking forward to seeing Tenoch Huerta as Namor too!

That’s the thing, these lines are just not that deep. Everyone is making them out to be more than they really were, which is probably why she lost the Oscar. Having said that, she was good in the movie.
I feel like Chadwick’s passing might’ve pushed this director and cast to make an even better movie than the 1st BP movie, like his passing and their remaining love for him pushed them to new heights creatively. As if this movie will be their last gift to Chadwick.

I cannot wait to see this movie, it looks so carefully crafted and well made. I don't want to get my hopes up, but at the same time... I genuinely think this film will mark a new high-point for the MCU. One that... future Marvel movies might not reach for a long time.

man, this is going to hit hard as Chadwicks send-off.
Every bit of this reaction is crazy emotional, and as soon as the news came out that Ryan Coogler wasn’t going to recast T’Challa (I didn’t think they should), I kinda knew where he would go with this. The King will die from Dr. Doom’s schemes and he will exploit Wakanda and Atlantis’ shaky past. Those two hidden nations have hated each other for centuries, and Okoye’s reaction to the question about the underwater earthquake in End Game was the catalyst. She looked uncomfortable when Natasha asked her about it, and basically said “We don’t give a DAMN about that.”
You may be right on the money.
Doom wants to save all reality by micromanaging everything... he'll need everything to destroy Kang. Maybe he'll even get the Scarlet Witch to become God-Emperor Doom.
Personally hoping T'Challas death is a natural death and not related to some superhero shenanigan's. Heroes are mortal, and that is important to remember. Doom can capitalize on the loss but his death shouldn't be inflicted by anyone.
@@krounos1 In the comics, it was Doom who tried to kill T’Challa in the first place. He didn’t succeed, but that’s when Shuri took over Black Panther for a while.

I saw Okoye's comment in End Game about the undersea earthquakes more as a way to protect Atlantis's secrecy from the Avengers snooping where they didn't need to be, rather than her not caring about Atlantis.
I just happen to live in Chadwick’s hometown of Anderson, South Carolina. this man has done so much for the local communities & kids down here. Wakanda Forever, My King 🤴🏿🙌🔥🍻
Watching Black Panther always makes me so sad.
Having to remember a time when the pandemic didn't exist, Chadwick was still alive, and the ending of that movie held so much promise and hope of what was yet to come.

This movie is emotional 😥 an exciting. Some fans are wearing white to the movie to honor Chadwick. T'Challa wore white when he had a dream of his father. That's why they're wearing white in the movie to pay tribute to Chadwick.
They built that trailer perfectly. The problem they are having with the X-Men is Fix contracts for then run to 2025 so won't see any unless their character expires earlier or one Fox didn't use.

Patiently waited on this reaction! Solid as always. Love Amber's hair! Not sure if you read the past Black Panther, Avengers vs Xmen (2012) comics over the last decade but the comics provide the back story that is in this movie. Looking for to the premiere in November.

With the first BP movie in production at the same time as Ragnarok, Infinity War and Ant-Man & The Wasp, it got a little short-changed in terms of the amount of time its VFX teams got to work on the movie relative to those other 3 movies, so very glad they saw it as a priority to rectify that this time round! Water scenes look more practical relative to Aquaman, and having Autumn Durald - the cinematographer from the Loki show on board looks to have paid off with the stunning visuals! Won't be watching any other trailers/tv spots, Nov 11 will be an event!

@What We Watchin'?! When Romonda (Angela Bassett) says my whole family is gone, could be a flashback during The Blip. Shuri and T'Challa were dusted by Thanos and 5 years had passed when they all returned at the end of End Game. Maybe they'll include that T'Challa had cancer when he returned from being dusted. And it's Namor (nay-more). Michaela Cole is playing Aneka. She was Ayo's love interest in the comics. She and Ayo were a part of the Midnight Angels. The Midnight Angels which they're setting up in this movie were the wetworks team of the Dora Milaje. T'Challa tasked the Midnight Angels to assist Deadpool with killing Dr. Doom. I think Dr. Doom will be in this film, but not in his armor. Maybe in charge of sending that military squad to extract vibranium form the ocean causing the war between Wakanda and Talocan (Atlantis). I think they're switching Ayo and Aneka's relationship with Okoye. So it'll be Okoye joining Aneka in the Midnight Angels hence their blue armor.
I hope T'Challa doesn't have cancer. That would be really morbid and a little twisted. I don't think it's right to put the real-life cause of death of the actor, onto the fictional character, just to sell movie tickets - after all, we are talking about Disney. Plus, Wakanda is the most technologically advanced country in history and they cannot cure cancer? Really? Also, children watch these movies and that's quite a big, bitter pill for them to swallow. I hope this takes place during the snap.

To comment on the Amazing Angela Bassett Speech... if you remember during the snap Shuri was snapped away with Chadwick... this story is going to touch during the time when they where gone and ALSO if you remember during the meeting with Black widow and the other members of her group after the snap they talked about Underwater Earthquakes. Its all tying together.

Doctor Doom, ruler of Latveria and greatest villain of Marvel, seeks to take advantage of tragic events in Wakanda, and pit the African nation against underwater Tlālōcān (called by Europeans, "Atlantis") in a bid to establish his new world order.
i think you were the only reactors who called out Michaela Coel and seemed to be excited as I was to see her in this story! Michaela in the MCU? yes please!

They actually didn't show the main villain Attuma in the trailer. He is the one who starts the conlfiict between them.
E: also when you see BP taking claws out, you can see Namor on his knees so he/her is going to save him.
This trailer was not only touching but spectacular. You all should watch the San Diego Comic-Con Panel for it as well. That was emotional too. And that music mix... chef's kiss!!
I don't think Ryan Coogler will go down the route exactly of Wakanda and Atlantis having a history of conflict., as his ultimate goal is to uplift both Black and Brown people with this film.
I suspect he'll go with less of a history of conflict and more with a history of an alliance that has slowly eroded, and finally broke by manipulation by several factors including Thanos and the 5 year blip, Wakanda opening up relations to the world and failures protecting Atlantis's secret, and Dr. Doom manipulating and exposing Atlantis in a false flag with Wakanda. Doom needs to weaken both nations to get technology and resources from both.

Namor and Atlantis won't be the villains, but they will be the antagonists temporarily.
Oh side note, I've seen a number of people say they are going to wear all white to the film as that is the Wakandan color of mourning. I think that sounds like a nice tribute.

3:09 This movie takes place after Love and Thunder, and Love and Thunder already established that the MCU is in the year 2025 or 2026, probably the latter. If you've seen the trailer for Love and Thunder what follows isn't a spoiler as it was said in that movie's trailer and the following line made it in the final cut of the movie. Jane asked Thor how long it's been since they last met and he answered, "8 years, 7 months and 6 days." Love and Thunder alludes that they broke up just before the events of Ragnarok, and that took place in 2017. 17+8=25, but we need to add the 7 months and 6 days and that's why I think the MCU is in the year 2026 in Phase 4.
Phase 3 ended in 2023, the Falcon and the Winter Soldier told us that Sam had been working for the US government for half a year so the MCU might have already been in the year 2024 when Sam's story started. This series gives no definitive answer of T'Challa's well-being, but I think they were implying that he was at least alive. The fact that he didn't leave Wakanda to claim Zemo sort of makes me think that he was already dealing with some serious health matters and that that's why A'Yo, second in command of the Dora Milaje, came for him. I do not know how the MCU is going to handle T'Challa's passing, but if you're going to honor Chadwick and retire his character, why not have T'Challa go out in a similar fashion? During the movie and again at the end, address the importance of getting oneself checked regularly for cancer.
2:07 who is this young man?! Why is O'Koye protecting him? The Dora Milaje protect the royal family of Wakanda. Might this young man be T'Challa's son? The MCU confirmed that T'Challa and Shuri were lost during Thanos' attack, but they didn't say anything about Nakia. Did she give birth to T'Challa's son during the snap? Is that why she was absent during the battle Infinity War and Endgame? Did T'Challa return home to a five year old son? This could help explain why he stayed in Wakanda during much of Phase 3, to spend time with his final days with his family while he battled a terminal illness. This teaser starts off with a celebration of his T'Challa's life. I don't think his passing was unexpected, but one people had already been prepared to accept.
This story will take place in the past and present as we saw with Namor's birth, youth and his time as king. Even Queen Ramonda's speech sounds like it's during in the past, during the blip. She spoke about her entire family being gone, but we know that's not true as Shuri was walking beside her during T'Challa's celebration of life. I think Ramonda was addressing her own council or the UN who were likely asking her and Wakanda to do more for the world, while governments were in shambles. Wakanda revealing itself to the world has cost her everything and has done nothing but bring tragedy to Wakanda. We can hear a lot of pain and regret in Queen Ramonda's voice. I wouldn't be surprised if she was getting ready to close up shop and cut Wakanda off to the world after that speech. How do you heal someone hurting as badly as she was in that moment? I think the answer is Nakia. Perhaps not long after Queen Ramonda said was she said, Nakia came forward with T'Challa's son.
This movie is closing the door on one character, while opening the door for at least two others: Shuri and Namor. Shuri needs to become something she thought she never had to be and Namor is seems primed to fulfill a prophecy. I think his birth was prophetic. Look at how they inspect his winged feet at the 1:21 time marker. Unlike the rest of his people, he isn't blue skinned, he has pointy ears and winged feet, I can't help but feel that something in their history speaks of a person like him someday coming along to rule them and bring them to greatness. Namor is a mutant in the comics, and likely the MCU's next big mutant on screen, but he might not be the only one in this movie. T'Challa and Nakia's son, assuming that's where this story is headed, might be a mutant too. T'Challa has a son in the comics, Azari, and he is a mutant. I wonder if the MCU would use that name, as Azari's mother is a different woman in the comics, Ororo Munroe, the mutant Storm. This wouldn't be a problem to people who don't read comics, of course, but for comic readers it might be as that's the relationship many comic fans hoped to someday see in the MCU.
If that young man is T'Challa's son and he's named Azari, I don't think we'll see him with the power to control the weather, as his mother would be different. Azari would be a solution to the problem Eric Stevens created when he destroyed all the heart-shaped herbs during his short reign as king. Azari's mutation grants him that power! I don't see him controlling the weather like Storm, but giving him the power his father had would be a nice way to connect him to the Black Panther and set him up to be the Black Panther in a couple of years.
I cannot wait to see how they tell this story. This teaser set a really high bar. I expect it to be epic.

AMBER! always looking 🔥🔥🔥god damn. as much as i like the idea of the characters being brought together following t'challa's death & also bc of the war w/ atlantis, i do agree it would be a good imo to set this during the 5 year gap after tchalla is snapped in infinity war. it allows ppl both in universe and the actors/audience to mourn, w/ the gift down the line eventually of recasting another to be tchalla in a future movie. we've had 3 spideys, 6 batmen(feels like a hundred, no shade), i think we can do a lot with the franchise with another tchalla at the helm imo. just my opinion though, i wont hate on anyone else for theirs.

I just love your ladies reaction. Just to see if you caught this bit when Angela said she has lost her entire family. Wonder what that meant I know she looses her husband and son but what happens to Shuri. I'm not quite sure if you will see what happens to T'challa.
the only thing is, Shuri blipped too so it can’t be during the blip unless that’s a flashback scene.
Sadly, this film before Chadwick passed, was originally going to be Secret Wars.
I know they're going to have to recast tchalla eventually, but this movie looks like an excellent send off and i can't wait to see it
Feige is staying strong about not recasting BP. That's why I think they're going with Shuri being the new BP just like the comics. That's also setting up the new/Young Avengers to go up against Kang in the next to Avengers films that are coming.
I think they should have recast T'Challa, Shuri isn't a ready to take the mantle, she's more of a Tony Stark character than the "protector of Wakanda" at this point.

I think they’re not recasting T’Challa of this universe (I.e. Earth 616) and possibly bring someone to play T’Challa from a different universe especially with the multiverse going on and setting up Secret Wars. Could be something like Star Panther from Avengers Forever #6 where that T’Challa from Earth 818 has a power level similar to Superman of sorts

The speculation turns to expectations and mislead people. I've watched this trailer only 3 times and I won't watch anymore because I want all the surprises on my first watch in theatres .

Oh I'm ready to watch it now too. But then again, I'm not. So it'll be good to have some time to mentally prepare (even though I know I'm gonna in that theatre trying to cry as quietly as possible).
I'm excited for this but kind of sad to know Mr. Boseman will not be in it anymore, he was a good actor and I really liked him in any role that he played.

i think yours is the only reaction to speculate that wakanda forever happens during the blip/snap. that's an interesting possibility.
For us, that’s the only way Angela’s line, “my entire family is gone” makes sense. So maybe not the whole movie but definitely that scene. And in endgame, Okoye mentioned earthquakes and people eluded to that being Namor. 🤷🏽♀️
Now You 3 Beautiful Black Queens got me Tearing up. I almost feel like This Movie will be a Tribute To Chadwick , they Will honor him in the best way they can. Rest in peace King. Run with Your Ancestors in The Afterlife like The King and Inspiration you were.🥲
There's still so many unanswered things that we don't know yet that have not been explained. Not just about T'Challa but other things.
R.I.P to the King but I feel like they’ll use the blip from when Chadwick was also one of the ones who wasn’t able to return from the snap used as his death, Although it is expected that the comics say it will be Shuri to pick up the mantle. It’s also a possibility that Nakia could take the mantle as well because 1.) she was one of the survivors from the blip. 2.) She also had the similar ideology to T’challa she also was the one to push him to become king as well becoming the black panther we know.
IRONHEART aka Riri Williams from Chicago, Illinois who is a 15 yr old melanin genius who created her own armored suit which she was inspired by the great tony stark. I bet she was founded out by shuri as being the genius she is probably had her come to wakanda hence probably ends up making the first iron heart suit there with some upgraded wakanda tech in the cave just like Tony did with Mark 1
I really hope you're right. The blip would be perfect. T'Challa has so much more story to tell. I want to see his son and marriage to Storm. I really hope he isn't gone for good. 🙏

This might be the movie that draws tears. I didn’t cry at Infinity War or Endgame(emotional turmoil absolutely but not physical crying 😭)

The only director I would trust, in the world, to achieve the difficult task of advancing the Black Panther story without 'our' Black Panther being in it, is Ryan Coogler. I don't say this to raise expectations to an impossible level, or to put more pressure on those involved in this special project, but rather as a simple point of fact: If he can't get it right, then no one can. That's how intrinsic he is to this amazing story. I suspect we're all going to be both inspired AND reduced to tears in November.

According to recent reports, none of the characters that appeared in any of the Fox X-Men movies can be recast until 2025 due to contracts. If that report is true and they want to use Storm before 2025 they would have to use either Halle Berry or Alexandra Shipp. We'll have to wait and see if it's true but in the meantime I'd say it's best to not get your hopes up.
Spreading the word to wear white when you go to see the movie - in honor of Chadwick. And bring lots of tissues.

I have some wild ideas knowing Kevin Feige loves to twist things a little:
Bucky (Winter Soldier who is already a supersoldier) comes and puts on the BP suit to kill Namor in honor of a debt to his friend T'challa for sparing his life, for Wakanda taking him in as "White Wolf", and for Shuri freeing him from the WS mind control command codes. Bucky IS an honorary member of Wakanda, after all.......
Fantastic Four show up to stop the war because DR DOOM pulled strings to manipulate it....
END CREDIT: Shuri find a heart shaped herb growing wild. Fade to black.....
END CREDIT 2: Dr Doom......
That’s wild! Lol. I don’t think Bucky needs to put on the Black Panther suit to repay a debt. Does he ever wear the suit in the comics? As much as I love Bucky, I feel like putting a white man in that suit would be problematic.

True....Bucky never put the BP or White Wolf suit on in the comics, but Kevin Feige twisted it and made Bucky "White Wolf" of Wakanda. QUICK BACKSTORY: In the comics, White Wolf was King T'chaka's adopted Caucasian orphan son raised in Wakanda as a spy/weapon, and T'challa's jealous older foster brother because he was ineligible for the throne or BP mantle but was given Captain of the War Dogs. In the MCU, T'challa made Bucky an honorary Wakanda citizen they called "White Wolf."
I think it would be more CONTROVERSIAL in the MCU for Bucky/White Wolf to don the BP suit than "Problematic." I'd hate to see any Caucasian don the BP mantle, but we ARE dealing with Kevin Feige's tendency to shock the fans. I doubt Bucky will be used, and HIGHLY doubt it would be more than one time in this movie for SHOCK.
I personally am hoping WAKABI volunteers to test a new Shuri-Riri BP suit amped by Wakanda-Stark tech to give him BP+ strength. Wakabi was T'challa's best friend who betrayed him for Killmonger, and broke the heart of his fiancé Okoye which made him surrender. Wakabi loves Okoye, is in prison, and will do anything to redeem his honor in the eyes of Okoye.
Skip the FF. Skip Bucky. But DR DOOM is still a Thanos-type manipulating wild card since he is always an enemy to Wakanda and Atlantis. Regardless, I am seriously looking forward to seeing BP 2, and hope Feige-Coogler nail it to $2b+.

The big question I have been asking myself is how are they going to write his death in the movie? Is his character going to die at the hands of an enemy or what?
Right?! And would that takes place off camera? Or they CGI Chadwick? Which I’m not sure I would want. We know he came back after the Blip so they can’t say he died then. I’m thinking they may have recast him and didn’t say anything. Maybe we get introduced to a variant here and Chadwick’s T’challa is just lost forever? Idk 🤷🏽♀️ going to be very interesting

And T’ challa’s murderer CANT be Namor. Because we lost the ‘real’ T’Challa with Boseman whoever killed the character is not redeemable in the eyes of the fanbase
@@WhatWeWatchin But the director and Marvel Studios have been adamant that they weren't going to recast his character. There was a recent uproar of people saying they will not see the movie because they wanted His character recasted. I mean I think they put this movie out a little too soon, And they could have recasted his character look at how many different Batmans there have been or how many different Spider-Mans and Supermans. But I guess they felt that he made such a lasting impression playing the part that no one could have replaced him.
MCU will probably have T'Challa killed in on an Avenger mission OR protecting Wakanda.

The film takes place after the blip. But some scenes must be flashbacks to the time when Ramonda was all alone ruling Wakanda. Otherwise, her speech would not make sense.
