So lemme see if I got this correct, the GT500 on stock GT500 20" wheels with R888R tires, the Red Eye has Demon 18" wheels with NT05R Drag Radial tires. I thought the objective was to run bone stock. As close as the times were for both vehicles you don't have anything to brag about. Put the Red Eye wide body wheels back on with R888R tires. They're available in 315 and 325. Run that race and compare.
Dont complain about it tell ford to manufacture something from factory that can compete because the demon comes factory with these options you do t have to go after market to get them
Both cars are fast, one thing we can all agree on is it’s pure American Muscle...love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scott google blown hellcat engine plenty of results there. Oh and the rear ends too. All pieces when it’s said and done. So I wouldn’t be here bragging about reliability.

There is no way in hell that Redeye is going to run that fast off the dealership lot. You took the 20's off, and put 18's with drag slicks on to get a better launch, and probably had a tune in the box. You totally sandbagged that Mustang.

Well, I`m a Mustang Technician, all I can say is, both cars are amazingly fast.
But I will stay with my Mustang.
The track here is not that good enough to really see both cars to perform really well.
They haven't seen the latest the latest fine tune of the GT500 2020.

Lonnie II Huffman and the wheels he went from a 20” stock wheel to an 18” lighter and not stock wheel, with a drag tire on it. So obviously the dodge was not stock for the races. And the Ford still won 2 of 3.

Brian Hill that 2020 gt500 has nearly a 1 sec launch delay on drag mode for whatever reason. So it’s really hard to time it on the launch
@Myself andI Crysler cars are crap. It's a glorified Fiat. I guess you missed all the Hemis failing because of lubrication issues. I know of at least four Demons that went Lemon Law. The Mustang driver also clearly doesn't know his car. I have a real 67 GT500 that runs 10.50 with a 427 side oiler.

18" race wheel and tire on the Dodge vs. 20" wheels on the Mustang. = Unfair launch advantage for the Dodge.
I have not seen a stock GT500 and even those running drag tires (Speed Phenom) do better than a 1.6 but usually run 1.7 60ft. It just ain't gonna happen in stock form. Hey but the GT500 can still beat the Redeye on a road course.
It's not like the GT500 was spinning anyway.
Problem is the factory brake rotors are so massive that you’d have to change them out to fit smaller wheels, but a tuned gt500 on 18” wheels could run a 9.5 without a problem
Alex Garrett when he tried to launch at a higher rpm it spun had to go to a low boggy rpm.

Wouldnt matter if you through slicks on both, the redeye will still out perform the gt 500 at the drag strip. So your saying is you want to bring perrelli street tires to the drag strip? Shit most wont let you on without some kind of tire because of the compound being hard and unsafe. So nt05 r or r888 are comperable and about as bare minimum you can go at the strip. Win or lose who cares the only point of this video was to show the redeye was a faster drag car as many before kept say the gt 500 was well now we all know the truth. Even if dude didnt red light he still would had won. On the street the gt 500 would win its simple facts.

If one of the racers believes his opponent has an advantage going into the race (tires in this case,) yet still goes ahead as planned and races anyway. He forfeits his right to bitch about it afterwards! Cuz what's the point of racing if every time you lose you go into a tizzy, piss yourself and stomp on off home with all your toys, "cuz it wasn't fair😭?!"
For example, If my friends and I are shooting hoops at a local court and it turns out that things start getting heated between me and this guy on the opposite team, until finally things escalate to the point where I've had enough and I say, "That's it, we're playing one on one right now so I can embarrass you in front of your friends!" If I lose that game, not only would I be even more humiliated if I were to blame the loss on some excuse like, "I wasn't wearing the right shoes," or "I had surgery on my left nipple 2 years ago!"

Yes if the tire is shorter. You could use a 18 inch wheel and have a 28 inch tire(more sidewall). You could also have a 20 inch wheel with a 28 inch tire(less sidewall). What does the Redeye come with STOCK off the assembly line?

It's not a drivers race. All things being equal, the Redeye is quicker to the finish line. However, the GT500 has a higher trap speed.

Stock redeyes are running 10.2 on tires.
Stock gt500 on tires run 10.5.

I'd say torque is where it's at on these two cars. We see where the aerodynamics are. A fat brick and a slim arrow flying to home base. If everything were the same from aero to tranny to weight but the engine set up but same hp rating. The push rod engine will take the win with the torque advantage.

let us Prey its too much power. Only reason the mustang can run stock at all is the traction control system. That “delay” is that system. You cant turn it off.

Feelings are going to be hurt. I guess Venom can't kill a Hellcat or a Demon. If the GT500 had more torque it most likely would have won. The downfall of dohc is that they aren't torque monsters. What I truly don't understand is why people continue to use liter displacement as an excuse or are impresses by it. If you know anything about head design. A 4 valve head will always out flow 2 valve head. No matter how much you increase the size of the valves of the 2 valve head. Also when Ford designed the Coyote predecessor. It was designed to directly compete with GM's LS3 engine. So in other words the Ford engine flowed a little more air into the cylinders than GM's LS3. So the excuse of displacement size is invalid.

Put a drag rafial and 18inch wheel on the back of the gt500 and run again. Or put the stock wheels and tires back on the redeye and re-run. I love mopar but come on cant call it legit when you changed up one of the cars.
