I gotta admit, I didn't expect much from it when it was first announced, but wow, watching those previews and reviews of the ride made me really curious and wanting to ride Pipeline asap! Great job, Sea World and B&M!
Right away, great edit, using the waves to mimic your logo, then, cutting to the coaster rising into a hill, while the diegetic sound rises at synch with the coaster. Fantastic opening!
Before I rode it, I thought they should’ve went with a wing coaster instead. After riding it I’m glad they went with the surf. It’s actually more fun than a wing. We probably will see a wing at one of the sea world parks in the future.
nailed it! The expectations were low, as nobody had felt a ride like this before. And b+m really surprised everybody with the amount of airtime they got into those s bends. Bravo
Great video Taylor. Clint's description of the "ride just being fun" is spot on. We need more unique ride models like this. Too much six flags copy paste stuff.
I love that Sea World is bringing something unique to the Orlando theme parks, where the competition is the toughest! Going there in September, can’t wait!!
It does look like a tons of fun ! Cannot believe they managed to make something that seems like a genuinely great idea out of the Stand Up Coaster idea. Impressive !
so did B+M come up with the idea for those trains initially and Sea World bought the first one? or did Sea World actually come up with the train idea and commission B+M to make it
I wonder if we'll ever know. Of course SeaWorld wants you to think it was their idea. But whenever B&M has an idea that hits, they replicate it many many times over, so I imagine these will be all over the place.
I’m struggling to process the sheer ridiculousness of thinking sea world could have possibly proposed this. With what engineers? In what world does that even begin to make sense? Do you truly have so little respect for the experts on the teams of these coaster manufactures? Lol they don’t wait for suggestions from unqualified morons.
This is the first time I saw one of your videos and immediately thought of the qualify of filming similar to travel channel. 10s across the board! Congrats.
I can't help but thinking that the theme is more suited for the San Diego park, but it might be just long term head trauma from that other surfing themed coaster that used to be in CA - Either way my fingers are crossed that the next instillation will be in San Diego and will retain the name and theme, that alone will make it a hit in the So Cal market
I would think for the newer ones yes but probably not the older ones that have the old style B&M whip to them, that would probably be too much for the seats
I don't see why it'd be impossible. But it also might not be worth the effort to retrofit the new floating vertical column on to the old B&M standup chassis. My guess: B&M will do the design work if a customer wants to fund it - then they'd offer it to everyone else. At the moment though Six Flags is the only company with several standups left - and they don't seem interested in this kind of capital investment right now.
@@Danrarbc I don't think that is possible, I am sure there is a reason B&M broke away from the usual 4 wide cars for this design, if I had to guess I would say the forces were too much on the outside seats and they got thrown up and down much harder than the inside seats - Have you ever been on Vortex at CGA? The corkscrew has a stronger whip in it than the corkscrews in a Batman clone, It is absolutely vicious as a regular stand up and as a floorless, I think it would destroy those seats very quickly
@@flashback0978 Then again the last new B&M design was also only 2 across. The family invert. And the newest Dive train designs happen to be getting narrower. I wouldn't read too much in to any of it.
@@Danrarbc Im forming my opinion from having ridden Vortex many times in an outside seat and having experienced the forces on it not on B&Ms recent seating configurations, and I* would not want to be in a seat that could move up and down like that in those outside seats because there are several spots where you would get slammed up or down - I could easily see there being ankle injuries
It looks fantastic. I really should go this weekend as a pass holder. But, I still think it's a weird ass ride for the park. Another B&M.... They NEED a solid, normal family coaster. 60-70' lift hill or a launch, long, twisting layout, maybe throw in some weird stuff like a turntable, or reverse section, or a splashdown or something. I really hope that's their next coaster.
@@CoasterStudios Yeah, I got hints of that from him too. Mentioning other attractions with animals and stuff. I kind of wish they'd redo the penguin trackless ride but have it so you see the penguins in the ride at multiple points
The next step is to put riders in real surfer position. That would be crazy. Or a train with multiple positions. Front row straight ahead. Middle rows sideways (true surfer position) and back row facing backwards. Okay I know my coaster imagination is getting the best of me. 😊
Do you think this model is an improvement over the old b&m stand up coasters? As someone who’s least favorite B&m is a standup coaster, I’m curious to see your thoughts
Oh yeah - It almost rides more like a wing coaster than a stand-up coaster. I've ridden 9 times so far and haven't had an uncomfortable ride yet. The airtime is really cool too. At first I thought the moving seats were just for comfort but in actuality it is what makes the experience. Very comfortable too!

i feel like a new era of coasters is coming cuz of this ride and the reception its getting... BRING ON THE CREATIVE ERA!!
Sea World did an incredible job blending Pipeline into the park surroundings, near Disney/Universal level. Can’t wait to ride it soon.

Happy of the success that SeaWorld and B&M have. It is a real innovation and people have a lot of fun on it.

Gotta say, B&M track is probably the most visually beautiful out there. Very elegant, very smooth.
3:38 that almost looked like a render. So smooth! Typical B&M quality! ❤
Every since thos opened and I saw how much people love it, it looks way better than I expected.
I loved the mural, it provides a fun welcome to the park.

Hey this is a great little documentary. Nice job! I love the wave sound fade from the traditional coaster sound on your logo.
I can't remember the last time a new ride smashed expectations in quite the same way this has.
These are the kinds of videos that you guys do best.
This seriously looks so fun and unique, I want to ride!
So glad I have another Orlando trip planned this fall

This was 100% B&M's idea. The patent is several years old now.

Whens the full review. Im curious.
It’ll be out within the next couple of days!
Tbh from what I’ve heard from people’s review of the ride, SeaWorld and B&M have knocked it out the park with Pipeline The Surf Coaster
Not a stand up coaster being the sleeper hit of 2023 😅!
After riding, god that ride is so insanely cool
This is the first time I saw one of your videos and immediately thought of the qualify of filming similar to travel channel. 10s across the board! Congrats.
yay! Thank you, we appreciate it!
With as prevalent as seaside pier roller coasters were, you'd think that something like this would have been built sooner 😂

San Diego will eventually get this coaster.
Would be a great addition at SeaWorld San Diego!
Do you think surf coasters are the future of airtime machines? I can see a lot of potential for making extreme versions of pipeline
So cool 😎

DID THEY JUST SAY THAT THEY ARE ADDING TWO MORE COASTERS?!?! i’m guessing a raptor and a gci hybrid
One of the new coasters is a family coaster.

As im still against the animal Abuse im lovin this Coaster so far the Whole Idea behind it is coll want to see something like this in Phantasialand
This isn’t different it’s basically a stand up coaster, but the trains look like surfboards. What a ripoff B&M did.
Ride still looks boring and pointless . Already 3 B&M coasters in this park .
Doesn't look boring, seems like it gives good pops of air time. And all of the B&Ms are different: hyper, floorless, and flying, now stand up (surf)
Even hardcore enthusiasts are coming off the ride going "wow, did not expect it, that was really fun".
Also it’s 4 b&m’s at seaworld
How about you ride it for yourself before you start hating?
This is going to become a trend : rollercoaster 🎢
