One of the best coaster concepts ever created. I hope B&M makes more of this. Imagine having a terrain version themed to snowboarding on the slopes of a ski resort!
It's pretty cool. Don't overhype it for yourself, though. There's 2 really good pops of airtime that throw your feet off the floor and 2 more lighter moment of airtime. I found it a pretty poor layout, honestly. The launch is fairly punchy though and you do feel a little airtime (one of lighter pops) on the launch bunny hill. I think they could have done something a lot better with a company other than B&M. You're not really bouncing any other moments though. It is much more comfortable. Not as many strong positives. But not enough airtime, in my opinion. The queue sucks big time, and the theming is lacking big time too like all their other coasters.
Great review! Glad to hear your thoughts as it’s become a favorite of ours across the SeaWorld chain. As Orlando locals of 10 years, we typically visit 3 times a month ever since they added Mako in 2016. As you mentioned, it has definitely helped with crowd flow. SeaWorld is known to run 1 train on its coasters (usually Manta is the last to drop to 1) during weekdays in November, early December and January. The threshold seems to be about 20 mins (cough…HFE waits til 40) and I’ve yet to see all the switchbacks full on Pipeline. For future visits, I’d highly recommend any food festival day. Coaster lines will still be short (two train ops with station waits everywhere) and the lanyards are fairly inexpensive.
Definitely a front row ride. That big twisted hill is really fun. However the restraints are ride ruiningly bad, i have to ride with my hands pushing up on the vest the entire time or it destroys my collarbones.
Finally! I was wondering when you would get around to riding it. I also like the old stand ups so I expected to enjoy this one, but it really surprised me how much I love it. It’s not too extreme, but just plain fun. Easily re-rideable and a great addition to a park that I thought didn’t need any more B&Ms. Great content as always! Hope to see you on your next visit to Orlando.
Thank you for continuing to show love to my home parks. I live in the Orlando area now and love the collection of rides and parks we have, plus BGT an hour away. Pipeline is such a gem to be able to go and ride once I finish my work for the day. I hope to see more of these types of coasters elsewhere in the future. Happy New Year!!
I’d love to see a surf coaster emulate a hyper layout. Camel back after camel back, and funky turn around, a speed hill. I think it’d be awesome 🏄🏻♂️🎢
It would be awesome if these trains were featured on a layout in the style of Mako. Mako is my NO.1 coaster, but Pipeline is my 2nd favorite. If you took Pipeline's trains and put them through a hyper style layout, that could be elite.
You should go ride Freestyle at Cavallino Matto! I know you rode the original when it was at Canada's Wonderland but it runs so well where it is in Italy and I've heard TOGO did some work on the trains. So fast, so much ejector, incredible ride. Haven't done Pipeline but Freestyle definitely seems more airtime focused and is by far my favourite standup.
@@CanobieCoaster they also have a weird water coaster thing incase you needed further tempting 😉 I found it (Freestyle) thoroughly enjoyable where it is right now and it even has a space in my top 20. I like it more than any B&M hyper. Easily my favourite coaster in Italy!
The ride was unfortunately under construction during my visit last February. Though I think it’s a cool addition to the park, it’s unlike anything else in the state, and I think the “bouncing seats” is a really cool concept. A few years ago, when I thought of what park would get the next stand up coaster, SeaWorld Orlando was far from my first guess. But now that they have one it makes so much sense, given it’s a surfing themed coaster in an amusement park with an aquatic theme. I also love the placement by the main entrance of the park, in a way it kinda reminds me of walking into Cedar Point where Gatekeeper flys over the main entrance, and the blue track definitely helps that vibe.
I like Pipeline a lot. B&M need to start make more of this models. Mako was still favorite at SeaWorld Orlando after riding this. When I heard Six Flags Over Georgia is getting a Surf Coaster, I thought they was getting this model from B&M. They should of ask B&M for this for there surf coaster instead of Intamin. There version looks fun but it not gonna be a most ride like this one.
What is the technique to get a better ride on a standup coaster? I’ve only ever ridden one standup and it felt like I could either choose groin pain or shoulder pain.
Everyone is saying it looks good as a conversion for other B&M stand up coasters, especially the relatively unpopular ones, but imagine if it was done with Riddler's Revenge, especially considering you liked it as much as you did!
Tbh this was my favorite coaster at the park. I love Mako, but to me there really isn’t anything like Pipeline anywhere else. That airtime is special in my opinion.
I like the old stand-ups better. The vests on Pipeline were painful to me. A lesser issue was the nut crushing brought on by the bouncing seats. Without the restraint locking into place, my groin smashed against the perch on the landings after the airtime. I sang soprano for a few minutes. However, I found a technique to avoid that: legs straight-pointed toes-grab the armrests with my hands. In other words, don't enjoy the airtime, just play defense, and be vigilant with that at all times. I was there on a somewhat busy day. Pipeline had a 10-minute wait while all other coasters were at least 30 for most of the afternoon, despite the other B&Ms having better capacity, and all were on 2 trains. It seems that I wasn't the only one who didn't think much of Pipeline. Maybe I'll like it more when I get back on it, but it doesn't even top Journey to Atlantis currently. Pipeline was also very rattly on my rides last month.
Ride. The. Front. Your nut will be saved. I did the same exact thing. Although I do have to agree with you on the backup restraint. Just have to stretch it out and hold it while you are waiting
From being a normal to this park, this ride can't run in the rain and always seems to run 1 train on weekdays and can get up to an hour long. They also have had to reprogram where the train parks on the transfer as it bumped in the station all ready, along this the ride also has a lot of downtime with the RFID and Photo eyes which is weird for a B&M. I once had it go down for 6 hours because of an issue but was it worth it yes. Also some of the elements are more crazier depending on what side of the train you are like the corkscrew and turn into the brakes.
@@CanobieCoaster well the park DOES NOT LIKE operators operating it in the rain but sometimes workers working the ride do not listen and that is how it caused it to bump, on a normal rain storm one visit it overshot the brakes a little. Also the photo eyes which is something B&M floorless uses do not like rain because it gets in the sensors
I wonder if the older B&M stand-ups can be refitted with these trains. Much like the way many standups were refitted with the floorless trains. Probably not but it certainly would’ve been interesting
Everyone’s talking about how Universal has been taking the fight to Disney lately, but honestly, in Orlando it’s becoming a three way battle between Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld at this point. And if anything, Epic Universe seems to have only made SeaWorld Orlando even more fired up.
I actually thought the surf coaster kind of sounds like a bad idea because it’s kind of like up down and I think it would put straight on taller peoples legs maybe
I hope they work out a way of getting rid of the vest restraints or thickening the straps because they dig into your shoulders just a bit too much if they’re bony.
Yeah I can’t agree with you on this one. Riddler’s is still my favorite stand-up, Pipeline’s layout isn’t that great and it somehow manages to be uncomfortable because of those vest restraints.
I agree with you. Pipeline sounded cool with the airtime, but it just didn't do it for me. On my first ride, I got moderate nut-crushing after that first airtime moment, on the landing. I got soured on the ride immediately. Those vest restraints did hurt, and the layout isn't great.
Seaworld has so much going for it, some top tier b&ms …. But the ops are just a deal breaker. Constant single train ops too. Im not waiting 25-30 minutes for kraken on a slower day because your ops are terrible and only run single train very frustrating, they want to play with the big boys but ultimately fail because the way they run the rides. Look at cedar fair and universal, that’s how you operate rides
One of the best coaster concepts ever created. I hope B&M makes more of this. Imagine having a terrain version themed to snowboarding on the slopes of a ski resort!
I'd love to see more!
I genuinely cannot wait to ride this coaster, I love Green Lantern and this ride looks to improve on the entire genre entirely.
It is such a unique ride.
It's pretty cool. Don't overhype it for yourself, though. There's 2 really good pops of airtime that throw your feet off the floor and 2 more lighter moment of airtime. Imagine if a marvel silver surfer surf coaster were made and in the center of the ride would be galactus.
Imagine if they were to marry this concept with a dive coaster. That first drop would be insane 😮
Not sure how to feel about that
thatd be cool with a beyond vertical drop and with a slightly beyond vertical holding brake, so that the seats move upwards while you're being held
I'd prefer a hyper layout.
Being held over the drop while in the standing position sounds really uncomfortable
0:29 that sounds really fun, I usually lift my legs a little bit on swinging ships which is already freaky, I can’t imagine that on a coatser
It's such a cool sensation.
I want more of these rides. This ride looks so good
Me too.
I would love for one of these to be themed to skiing/snowboarding.

Thanks for the tip! I've been during the food festival and gotten something to eat before.
Definitely a front row ride. That big twisted hill is really fun. However the restraints are ride ruiningly bad, i have to ride with my hands pushing up on the vest the entire time or it destroys my collarbones.
It started to get uncomfortable after repeated rerides, but it wasn't unbearable.
Murdered my collarbones too a couple of months ago.
The restraints make this coaster un rideable for me. It hurts my collars severely
Finally! I was wondering when you would get around to riding it. I also like the old stand ups so I expected to enjoy this one, but it really surprised me how much I love it. Thanks! I was glad to finally get on it as well.
Just rode this yesterday and saw you posted the review right after! Loved this coaster
It was great! Very unique.
Went on this back in October, loved it, it was amazing.
It was a cool ride.

Looks like an amazing ride!

Nice! Love airtime in this position.
I will eventually ride this not sure when though
Hopefully soon!
Def my sleeper hit of 2023, even over Wildcats revenege
I think people expected Wildcat's Revenge to be great, but people were more skeptical of this one.
I rode 4 new rmc's this yr and Wildcats was my least favorite.. still a good ride but not mind blowing
I saw the track complete when i was there in January, and Iron Gwazi was closed. Florida is always being my nemesis. (Washington State here)
Sorry you had bad luck with the Florida rides.
I also want to see this model show up at more parks. Pipeline provides airtime that I can only describe as, go ride it for yourself.
I'd love to see more.
Pipeline-My 300th Coaster 😊
Nice milestone.
New stand up trains on a hypercoaster layout?
That would be sick.
What is the technique to get a better ride on a standup coaster? I’ve only ever ridden one standup and it felt like I could either choose groin pain or shoulder pain.
Basically get the bike seat and harness low. You want the harness jammed into your shoulders to stop headbanging and lock your body.
Everyone is saying it looks good as a conversion for other B&M stand up coasters, especially the relatively unpopular ones, but imagine if it was done with Riddler's Revenge, especially considering you liked it as much as you did!
I don't know how well it would work on that ride since it's basically all positive Gs.
Tbh this was my favorite coaster at the park. I love Mako, but to me there really isn’t anything like Pipeline anywhere else. That airtime is special in my opinion.
I agree it is so unique, but I do prefer Mako.
pipeline is cool
Yes it is.
I hope we will see it more across Cedar Fair and Six Flags chain in the next couple of years.
Same here.
I think a B&M surf coaster would be a good fit at Seaworld San Diego.
I'd love to see more.
Imagine if green lanterns got these trains at SFGA? I love that ride when my feet dangle
That would be interesting.

It's true if you position the bike seat wrong.
@CanobieCoaster oh no, I believe you for sure. I despise Green Lantern, but im really glad you enjoyed it
It’s so weird how this specific SeaWorld park has more strong coasters than the rest of them combined
Gets Alot Of Visitors Since Its.In Orlando
Best standup, arguably best hyper, arguably best floorless, arguably best flying, all being B&M
The Orlando market is a goldmine.
it’s just better
Its arguably the best b&m hyper but it cant compare to most intamin hypers and psudeo hypers @gabet3514

Not sure if that would work given the different forces and train sizes.

They should stick these trains on diamondback lmao
That would be something!
The seats should be facing sideways, i think that would simulate surfing a lot more accurately
That's fair to be closer to surfing. That would be interesting.

More give would help. It worked on their wing coasters. Those ones started tighter at first before loosening.
If there is no rattle, is it truly a B&M? 🤔
They can make glass smooth rides.
Yeah I can’t agree with you on this one. Riddler’s is still my favorite stand-up, Pipeline’s layout isn’t that great and it somehow manages to be uncomfortable because of those vest restraints.
Riddler’s layout is much more rewarding than Pipeline. The only appeal this coaster has over Riddler is the launch

I usually visit during the quieter periods so the crowds are usually manageable for me.
They run two trains on the weekend.
Soprano is the highest female voice. Alto is the lowest female voice.
Whoops, I edited that part.
@@CanobieCoasterCool. Speaking of music, I like the subtle background surfing music in your video.
