are they using the xt5 sensor they are selling to fuji, if that is true, then this specs might makes sense. and i hope they have even better dynamic range
I honestly do not see the point of having a high megapixel crop sensor. Even for wildlife/bird photographers, 26 megapixels on a crop sensor is more than sufficient to crop and present a great picture. If not, you're not framing the composition right to begin with. I would rather have Sony make the crop sensor line more appealing to quick shooting audience. Add film simulations, improve vlogging/video capability including better low light sensitivity and improved IBIS, and for god's sake give us more than 15fps with Mechanical shutter already! 40mp is useless. Faster readout and burst frames is much much more useful in real life.
That's fair. The 40mp sounds really cool on paper, but in retrospect, I can't recall many situations where I've thought, "wow, I wish I had more than the 24mp my a7iii/a6k offer". And I agree, for me better IBIS and stronger vlogging capabilities are priority.
Its logic. Still after a6500, a6600 and eveb on a6700 no dual card slots and good viewfinder... In compare with fuji and canon? I still keep my a6600 and probably if next apsc flagman will not have dual cards then will leave the system.
Yeah the wording there is weird. This did come from a Chinese site so it's possible the translation got a little wonky. We'll just have to see but yeah, the a6700 is pretty fresh still, so I wonder if this would be quite a few months down the line.
Actually, come to think of it, I just looked it up. Sony has been on a 1-year release schedule for APS-C cameras since the ZV-E10 came out, so it's possible. Does feel too soon though. Maybe ZV-E10 II comes out this year and then a6900 next year if I had to guess.
@@chancetalkscameras It was announced just yesterday I guess, its more expensive but doesn't include IBIS, no AI processor, no 4k 120, no autoframing feature (from what I see), no EVF, so yeah compared to a6700 its not that great. Lots of features lost for the 300-400$
I don't know if I believe this rumour, but I hope it's true. It would be awesome if Sony came out with a a6900 camera with those specs. Keep in mind that the Sony a6500 came out 8 months after the Sony a6300 (in Oct 2016 and Feb 2016 respectively), and that the Sony a6600 came out 7 months after the Sony a6400 (Aug 2019 and Jan 2019 respectively).
Thanks!
Thank you!

Still want an A1/7/9 series body with a stacked crop sensor, even like the A9 mk1 vintage, please Sony, please...
Would be awesome.
40mp sensor from 26 ? Doubt

No thanks on the 8K. The rolling shutter is bad enough on the 26MP/20.1MP sensor. I'd be more interested in a 12MP APS-C sensor.
Honestly, 8k just feels like overkill in general on a camera like this lol.
Agreed. I don't know why anyone would need that.

Fair enough. I'm staunchly anti-Canon but I've entertained the thought of moving to Fuji quite a few times. Their cameras are just so beautiful lol.
I call it BS. "Heavy duty IBIS" sounds too silly. The A6700 is very new, no chance an upgrade will come that soon.

a6900 what happened to the a6800?
Sony can't count to 8.
@@chancetalkscameras did this replace the a6700 or a a6600?
This is what people would wish…..
Think any of it is true?
40mp sensor, 🐂💩!
Wack.
Why do all you camera guys have speech impediments? So weird!
It's a secret cult duh
