- Опубликовано: 4 окт 2024
- Information:
Location: Southington, OH
Testing: First Saturday of the month at 12:00 PM
Address: Southington Fire Department
Other enthusiasts present: Bruin (StormWarning04)
Recording Equipment used: Canon Vixia HF R800
Other Notes: Met up with Bruin for this very nice but weird Sentry. The capacitors are starting to go on this unit hence the slow windup. I'm very surprised that nobody has took the time to record this boi and a resident who was very nice said that the horns (next to the sentry) were set off Every Monday at 6:00 P.M. during the meetings. Enjoy!

UPDATE: This siren is a 15V2T. Also thx for 3K views!
UPDATE 1/6/24: Wow 12K views! Actually didn't expect this video to become popular since I consider this a mid video lmao. I have way better videos than this lol
It's an old 15V2T put in in Oct of 2003....
@@chrisjohnson4666 yep. At first we thought it was a 20V2T but the one in Farmington is a 15V from the tag and the 2 were installed at the same time
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens Not trying to creep you out XDD but how old are u
@@tornadoandfiresirensofohio8479 no you don't creep me out LOL but im 14
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens ok well wanna know how lod i am well IM 12!!! XDDD
I like how this is essentially 2 sirens and can possibly have the two motors wired separately for a unique tone.
Same
Honestly it would be interesting to hear the 2 separate motors do this, while one winds up, the other winds down, and then vice versa
@@TheJakeman789 yeh
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens I like your siren test videos I'm a trained weather spotter and I'm a tornado siren enthusiast
@@trevorbaughman5234 thank you I appreciate the support. Tune in next Saturday that's when my next upload will be
I love how the motors wound up at different speeds
Yep
You can really hear how high pitch the higher tone is by itself to
@@spenofzeros yep
Fun fact: this model is the one of the only dual-tone sirens that's still on the US siren market today (if it's a 15V2T). The other one is Sentry's 40V2T.
You forgot the 20V2T.
@@pelicanstatesirens Oh right! that one exists too!
I love how it sounds like a Carter siren on the wind up
WOW that wind up sounds amazing!
Nice job! Love the wind up!
Yep, definitely has motor issues, especially with the 16 port motor
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens I mean honestly even with that issue, it still sounds hella cool lol
@@Savagegamer2413 indeed. Still sounds weird still to this day
Same!
Sounds like she needs new Start/Run capacitors.
Maybe
Not run capacitors but start capacitors Maybe
Maybe a new brake timer as well
New things give new paint make the diahpones red and fix
Interesting seeing a Leslie A-200 and an A-125 both old school locomotive horns that were used as fire horns.
When you read this, you either think of horns or Rooms
AMAZING WIND UP AND CANCELLATION
ikr
Damn y’all beat me to this. This is actually a 16V2T
Nope. 20V2T
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens Definitely a 16V2T. This was the only sentry siren made with two seperate motors, and you can clearly tell they are separate motors by the wind up and wind down.
That doesn't matter 20V2T's can have longer motors too you know. Like the one in Holiday City, OH. That's a 20V2T with 2 separate motors. Sentry never made 16V's without Battery Backup that would be impossible
It says on their official site that you can option the 20v2t to have two 10 hp motors or one 20 hp motor
I guess Michael lied to me when he told me that 16Vs are the only ones. :P
0:40 THX
What?
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens He's talking about the THX Intro, the THX intro sounds more like a 40V2T to me.
@@connorw07yt7 what the hell is a THX intro?
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens Its for movies and stuff.
@@connorw07yt7 oh
I like those Cunningham horns!
sean juth I
I believe they are Leslies
@@eastcoastalerting Actually those are diaphram horns
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens "diaphone"
someone corrected me ok
@@1000BT Originaly diaphram!!!
Diaphone is gamewells version
Sounds just fine, A new 20V2T with dual motors instead of one like their older siblings. (Why the harmonics sounds liek they do, chopper speeds are slightly off sync) This is exactly why sentry went to dual motor setups. They cause pulsing harmonics which travel farther.
Yeah that's what I was thinking
Sterling + 3v8 startup
Yes
Nice!
Thanks!
Are those diaphones next to it? idk much about them.
What’s with the train horn right beside it? Fire horn?
that’s a cool mount
It looks like a sentry 20v2t
Nice
thx
0:38 lol the startup sounds XXXDD
Awesome!
why the diaphones are there
0:40 siren start
What are those on the right it looks like small horns
M3ga Cubing they look like Leslie supertyfons. I know very little about horns though.
Nope they're diaphram horns
Nope, also why can't you join hangouts? It sounds a bit weird because your older than me and you don't have hangouts lolololol
Lol boi what about discord?
Ight, are we still going to Alliance/Knox Twp in September? DSRX100 might come too
Ohio Siren's be Like: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE *High Pitched*
0:05 is there like music or something
No
Yes it is
It needs a tune up but it sounds good like that
wauw!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
If you wanna see a real 20V2T couch cough not this.... than come by meeeeeeeee
Nah B

0:40
What about those diaphones
Do they work?
Those aren't diaphones those are lesile train horns
Harmonize much?
idk
Hello.
I like sirens so I will do a collection of them.
Can I use this video please? :)
Yes
Cool I see diaphone horns
Those look like diaphram horns NOT diaphones
they're diaphones
Nope those are diaphragm horns.
ah
They're diaghram horns. Likely Federal branded.
@@OhioOutdoorWarningSirens they arnt diaphones they are Cunningham horns. Diaphones have a long horn and they don't have a lip at the end of each horn
It's switerland fire horn
siren in on 0:41
What are the horns for next to the siren
No is not sentry 15v2t is 20v2t
The tag says 15V2T. When I first recorded this i thought it was a 20V2T but I couldn't see the tag but 3 years ago I finally saw the tag up close and confirmed its a 15V2T. There's another one of these only 6 miles away that's also a 15V. Both sirens were ordered at the same time in October of 2003
