Hey everyone! Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch this video, and I really hope you guys enjoy it. I had a ton of fun editing it! I want to let you all know that I so very much appreciated the overwhelming love and support after my last video regarding my husband's Topical Steroid Withdrawal syndrome. While I wanted to respond to every comment I saw, I could feel that the pressure to come up with the right response to each comment was extremely mentally taxing on me, so I have decided to take a backseat in my RUclips comment sections. I hope you guys understand! Regarding this video, I want to be transparent and let you guys know that it was entirely my own idea to make a little ad break for the Flute Center of New York. I actually ran the idea by the team at FCNY myself, haha! I have been thinking about my past FCNY reviews and videos, and I realized that not everyone even knows who I'm even talking about when I refer to FCNY! The footage you see during the ad break comes from my visit to FCNY back in October 2021. That was when the footage for this video was streamed! I had an amazing time there. The team at FCNY has been incredibly understanding and comforting during this difficult time in my life and have not even pressured me with a deadline for these sponsored videos. Every time they reached out to me, they were just asking if we were okay. They are incredible human beings. As you can tell from the humour in this video, I'm getting back on my feet. Slowly but surely. This TSW journey is not over yet (we are in the midst of the 3rd flare right now), but we are soldiering through it. One day at a time. Thank you all for being here for us. Cyber hugs. -Joanna
So happy to see a new video from you!!! Love them all!! I recently purchased the Trevor James Copper Alloy C Flute and I would love to see you review it!!! I’m completely in love with it!!! Your “I’m a copper player” video inspired me to buy it!! Can’t wait for more videos!! All my love from Argentina!! 💜
I'm 3 minutes in and already am so excited about the video that I had to pause and read the description, take a breath :D Incredible content so far, Jo! Thank you also for being so open about what's going on... takes alotta courage to do so.
I love the sound of the Muramatsu, but it’s so expensive. If I have the money, I definitely would buy this flute. 😍 I‘m not that professional, so it’s perhaps a too premium flute for me. I would love to try it, but I don’t know where to find a shop in the near of my home. 🤷🏻♀️
Sooo.. in the pair I loved the sound of the second one. Then you said it was really heavy and it could take a lot…I was like, yah - that’s my Powell. Guess I should stop shopping and just realize I do have the right flute for me. LOL.
I was guessing Pearl for the third one (Yamaha), because of the drop off of the lip plate. I just got one and I feel I sound airy, and I think you sounded rather airy on that one
Just because you sound airy on one flute doesn't mean that someone else will sound airy on the same flute (or brand). For example, I can't make Powell Sonare's sound good to my ears, but my teacher plays them very easily and she likes her sound on them.
@@davidkang6433 for sure! She didn't sound airy when she did reviews of Pearl flutes. I just related with how you can sound good and then play something else and suddenly you're like a newbie again LOL
Hi everyone, I studied flute when I was 10 years old, now I'm 31 and thought it was a good idea to pick a flute and play. I brought a Yamaha 222 recently but I feel so demoralized. When I studied as a kid I could play just the first and maybe 2nd registers. Unfortunately, I can't afford any lessons at the moment. I am seriously frustrated about this situation. Can you guys give me any advice?
If you haven't seen her stuff already, my dear friend Tatiana over on The Flute Practice (ruclips.net/user/theflutepractice) has AMAZING flute learning content, AND she just came out with an amazing book!! She has courses and all sorts of goodies that sound pretty perfect for your situation!! Head over to her website to check out all her flute resources!! --> www.theflutepractice.com

I've always wanted to see this kind of unbiased testing. Thank you.
Terrific video!🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have a Miyazawa 202 # 102850 and I love it. It is such a expressive instrument.
