Hunter does look kinda like Zach Blair from Rise Against. Which they had fun with, they switched places briefly during one show, and I wonder if the people in the back, without a good view, even noticed until Hunter came running back and they were BOTH onstage. :D
Because the first chords in the main riffs sound the same? Surprisingly, they're not even the same chord. It actually has nothing musically in common with 1979. It reminds me something Alkaline Trio OR The Cure would do. I'm sure this has happened before with other songs too. Not just AFI and SP.

AFI are just a str8 up legend of a rock band in my opinion. A lot of folks hate there new stuff but I'm old too and I dig it.
