    How can I melt the clasp ? So my chain can stop falling off. It keeps slipping thru the tiny gap

      Hi Elizabeth, Are you thinking of soldering the jump ring closed? It can be challenging. Here's an easier option you might try. Change out your jump ring with the tiny gap for a split ring like this amzn.to/3yC6VED You can slide it onto the chain and rotate it around, kind of like a key chain. It won't fall off!
      Good luck!

      Are you having trouble opening small jump rings? You can try a jump ring opener. We use one in this video: runningwithsisters.com/beaded-layering-necklace/
      Hope that helps!

    Is this going to be secure though?

    • @TheONeilSisters
      @TheONeilSisters  4 года назад

      Great question Serena! We've never had a problem with this technique not being secure. But if you want a more secure version, you could use a split jump ring. Here is an example: www.pinterest.com/pin/91197961179613242/
      Hope that helps!

      The O'Neil Sisters im making a beaded necklace. Im short of beads. So I thought i can use link chains to finish the project. But searched online none of them use toggle clasp n link chain. So im confused how to finish it

      You can mix beads and chain, no problem. And we use chain with toggle clasps all the time. How can we help you?

    What about for a rope chain?

    • @TheONeilSisters
      @TheONeilSisters  5 лет назад

      Great question! Rope Chain has a very tight weave, so it is usually finished with cord ends that have a loop to attach a clasp.
