The Force Awakens: Watched at Cinema. Enjoyed it, though I had my reservations. The Last Jedi: Couldn't watch it in one session, because it was kinda boring and neither made much sense, or gripped me enough to not find myself distracted by other things I'd rather do, but I did finish it eventually, and even gave it a rematch some time later, to see if it was really as disappointing as I'd recalled the first time. It was. I haven't seen it since. The Rise of Skywalker.- I gave up on this no more than a third of the way in, and have since not mustered up the enthusiasm to continue watching it through to the end. This is why Piracy is a thing. You can 'try out' media before deciding to hand over your hard earned cash.
Best part of TROS is Luke catching the lightsaber and damn near pulling a Deadpool wink at the camera basically any of the shade it throws at EP8 is the good shit

I agree, Hayden was amazing as Anakin and I can totally empathize and understand what happened with Daisy now far better than before. Do appreciate that Daisy isn't completely high on the kool-aid they were probably trying to feed her and realizes Rey is not going to be considered her "best" role in her career and that she's in the same boat much of the cast is in now having the sequel trilogy on their record. The movies had a clear vision and story underneath George Lucas, it was just the execution, writing and acting that sucked. Outside the movies, there’s actually a lot of the things about the prequels that were pretty awesome like the world building, the books, games, animated series and even toys.

Actually my biggest issue was how they made the First Order so powerful and the resistance so hopelessly outnumbered. It seemed really unrealistic considering that at the end of rotj they defeated the empire and gained freedom then suddenly off screen the dynamic completely flipped. Just felt really unrealistic for the First Order to be so in control and the resistance so small and felt like it kind of undid the whole original trilogy, I think it would have been better and felt smoother to show the First Order start of small then slowly expand to be like the empire.
The reason the sequels failed compared to Mandalorian, Rogue One, etc. is because they used the same concept with the originals and prequels, show, don't tell, remember that infinite rey scene, they already showed us, they didn't need to explain it to us

I think they should retcon the sequels and make the villains of the new sequels Grand admiral THRAWN and a canon version of the infinite empire that he will rule with a Powerful Dark Side force user returning. Darth Plagueis I think this would be cool because Plagueis could have had a cloning area and transferred his essence into a clone plus the way he should be defeated is not Luke but Anakins ghost coming back one last time to destroy the sith. Just an idea on how you could make a better sequel trilogy with Rey and the other trash gang.
I have always hated on VIII but I feel like VIII was just boring and the worst things about that movie were Rose and Vice Admiral Holdo but I don't really blame Rian Johnson because since Knives Out came out he once again prooved that he is a good director and story teller, he just really wanted to make his own movie, sure he f*cked up what J. J. Abrams has planned (at least something) but as I saw this video, they really didn't have a clue what they wanted to do and messed up everything... like... everything I hope Rian Johnson will really have his own Star Wars movies he could start from scratch because Brick or Looper were pretty good movies and Knives Out was great, I loved it and I feel like Rian Johnson could bring something new to Star Wars if he started with a new blank paper nobody wrote on, like some detective/noir or some chase type of movie and building some atmosphere and actually caring about the characters with some pretty good plot twist at the end...
Rise of Skywalker was the first mainline Star Wars movie since The Phantom Menace that I didn't see in the theater on the first day. In fact I didn't see it in the theater at all! It just wasn't interesting to me at all anymore, which is sad. They should've let me write the trilogy

Darth Vader was originally just gonna be a guy in a space suit, no damaged body, no connection to Luke. George just made it up as he went along too. Leia being Luke's sister was another kind of last min thing that they just made up on the spot. Luke's new lightsabre in return of the Jedi was just an obiwan lightsabre that the prop people grabbed and snapped the effect part staff off of because on the day of shooting someone said oh shit didn't Luke loose his lightsabre in the last movie? Like we were that close to having that huge of a blunder. Many great stories just kind of form, sometimes plans are made and change, sometimes there is no plan, sometimes plans are followed perfectly. There is no best way to do it.
I dont consider the sequel trilogy as cannon with the mary sues the stupid force healing that throws so many holes in the rest of the timeline and all the stupid story points

Mike, you're being way too kind on Disney here. "George was willing to help with the story and they just ignored him" is a total understatement. George was plied for years by Bob Iger with promises that George would be the one in charge of the sequel trilogy. He would get to complete the saga he started back in 1977 and close it out the way he wanted to. Hindsight's 20/20, but George was too trusting. He made a gentlemen's agreement with Iger (which isn't legally binding) and he expected Iger to keep his word and actually be a *gentleman*. Big mistake. Iger is your textbook corporate fatcat. In the very first meeting for Ep. VII, since Iger didn't have to string George along anymore, he told him "George, you're not in charge anymore. This is our story now" and threw all the story treatments he had promised to follow right out the window. I'm sure Iger expected that he could smoothe things over with George by offering him a "creative consultant" position but understandably, George felt completely betrayed, and said "You can take your creative consultant job and shove it. I'm going to have nothing to do with this bastardization of my life's work."

The story’s were good, the acting cgi and inclusion of unnecessary or bad scenes just made them “not great”

Darth Plagueis I think this would be cool because Plagueis could have had a cloning area and transferred his essence into a clone plus the way he should be defeated is not Luke but Anakins ghost coming back one last time to destroy the sith. Just an idea on how you could make a better sequel trilogy with Rey and the other trash gang.

I have always hated on VIII but I feel like VIII was just boring and the worst things about that movie were Rose and Vice Admiral Holdo but I don't really blame Rian Johnson because since Knives Out came out he once again prooved that he is a good director and story teller, he just really wanted to make his own movie, sure he f*cked up what J. J. Abrams has planned (at least something) but as I saw this video, they really didn't have a clue what they wanted to do and messed up everything... like... everything
I hope Rian Johnson will really have his own Star Wars movies he could start from scratch because Brick or Looper were pretty good movies and Knives Out was great, I loved it and I feel like Rian Johnson could bring something new to Star Wars if he started with a new blank paper nobody wrote on, like some detective/noir or some chase type of movie and building some atmosphere and actually caring about the characters with some pretty good plot twist at the end...

Rise of Skywalker was the first mainline Star Wars movie since The Phantom Menace that I didn't see in the theater on the first day. In fact I didn't see it in the theater at all! It just wasn't interesting to me at all anymore, which is sad. They should've let me write the trilogy

Darth Vader was originally just gonna be a guy in a space suit, no damaged body, no connection to Luke. George just made it up as he went along too. Leia being Luke's sister was another kind of last min thing that they just made up on the spot. Luke's new lightsabre in return of the Jedi was just an obiwan lightsabre that the prop people grabbed and snapped the effect part staff off of because on the day of shooting someone said oh shit didn't Luke loose his lightsabre in the last movie? Like we were that close to having that huge of a blunder. Many great stories just kind of form, sometimes plans are made and change, sometimes there is no plan, sometimes plans are followed perfectly. There is no best way to do it.

Mike, you're being way too kind on Disney here.
"George was willing to help with the story and they just ignored him" is a total understatement. George was plied for years by Bob Iger with promises that George would be the one in charge of the sequel trilogy. He would get to complete the saga he started back in 1977 and close it out the way he wanted to.
Hindsight's 20/20, but George was too trusting. He made a gentlemen's agreement with Iger (which isn't legally binding) and he expected Iger to keep his word and actually be a *gentleman*.
Big mistake.
Iger is your textbook corporate fatcat. In the very first meeting for Ep. VII, since Iger didn't have to string George along anymore, he told him "George, you're not in charge anymore. This is our story now" and threw all the story treatments he had promised to follow right out the window. I'm sure Iger expected that he could smoothe things over with George by offering him a "creative consultant" position but understandably, George felt completely betrayed, and said "You can take your creative consultant job and shove it. I'm going to have nothing to do with this bastardization of my life's work."
