Finn was reduced from one of the most interesting characters to shouting 'REY' for 3 movies
After they Rose Tico'd him, there was nothing left for him to do. Rose was a cancer and poor Finn got a terminal case.

I wish they had Rey turn to the dark side but Kylo kills her and turns to the light.
They could make her the antagonist for the next trilogy and Finn would oppose her. They had thousands of opportunities and wasted them all.

Imagine making a trilogy of movies that were so poorly planned out and misdirected that you try to use books, social media, and External source material to “Fix” all the problems with the movies. It shows that your trilogy fails to stand on its own and your using dumb excuses to justify all those flaws that you made.

But fr I want to speak to the person who came up with the brilliant idea of hiring Rian Johnson to write AND direct The Last Jedi on his own. Wasn't Palpatine teased at the end of the film? If it was the writers for the next movie must have felt obligated to go through with the hint so there wouldn't be the larget plot hole known to mankind. I didn't have much of a problem with The Force Awakens apart from the fact that Disney had NO IDEA where they were going with Rey's character.
TL;DR: You could argue Rian Johnson killed the trilogy, with Disney to blame for not knowing what to do and for hiring Johnson in the first place.
Rian Johnson is the true phantom menace... He destroyed the Jedi as we knew and loved them. Especially Luke.... Especially Luke.

Rise of Skywalker has a few good fights (the non-force-sensitive side fighting the Final Order on Exagol), but that's just about it. There were multiple plot holes a mile wide and it was jumping from one part to another WAY too quickly.
If you manage to piss off an entire fanbase and a good chunk of the actors for your movies who want to pretend the trilogy didn't exist and just completely redo it from the ground up, you know you screwed up. This trilogy, after learning the business side of things especially, made me lose so much of my respect for Disney and the money-hungry mouse my parents once called their boss.

Yeah when i see the trailer i though finn is gonna be the protagonist...it going to be sick seeing a cold blooded clone becoming a jedi...even he is force sensitive (jj confirm this)
They both could have been main characters, balancing two different parts of the story and creating interesting parallels but nope. Finn deserved better.

A good explanation could have been given for why Ani can’t be reached; maybe the Force has been abnormal due to the arrival of whatever is corrupting Ben, Snoke or otherwise. I like the image of Anakin screaming at Ben to not listen to “Vader” or trying to warn Luke but both being unable to hear him, even as the latter tries to call out to him too.
Actually Ani should have had more presence in this trilogy in general.
It was Palpatine making those voices in Ben's head.

Yeah instead of this Ray Skywalker seance I wish her we got a funeral for Leah because it’s kind of disappointing me that we never got a funeral for her and how HUGE and iconic character she’s is. Heck I cried when the when yondo died in guardians of the galaxy vol 2 and he got a 3 minute funeral and Leah only got 8 seconds!

Ya see, I don't hate Rey at all. I love her, and her character never bugged me. I enjoy her character, but I do agree with not enjoying Rey taking the Skywalker name. I get and understand the message behind her "choosing her own family" and not letting blood be what guides her...but like...I feel like her just accepting herself would have been a lot better. Her just saying "I'm Rey" and finally being confident in herself and not needing a family name would have been better. Not needing to keep finding her identity in other people. I don't know. I also did really like the idea in TLJ where ANYONE could have the force and you don't have to be related to someone special to use it. Also...Rey deep down was so unhappy being on Jakuu, a desert planet where she was alone, and then this one ends with her yet again on a desert planet all alone, like c'mon -.-Just my opinions on it haha. Yeah I like Rey too, I just dont like what the writers did with her. She could have been a great character but they just never gave her any trials to overcome and they made her way op. They just need her to be her own character that actually does something instead of trying to be like everyone else. I agree with the just rey and being confident in herself but nope :/ but thanks! The whole “Anyone could have the force thing” was never an issue in Star Wars in general the prequels Jedis are proof of that you either born with it or develop it overtime or medicolrion count.

Even though I hate TLJ but the idea anyone could be force sensitive is awesome. If they keep up with rey being a nobody instead a palpatine would be awesome.
I heard this theory that episodes 7-9 take place in the timeline where Ahsoka is dead. Grogu was taken to be used to create Snoke. In Rebels she gets saved by Ezra creating a second timeline in which The Mandalorian takes place. In my head cannon I use this to just belete 7-9 in hopes that we can get some better Star Wars movies.
Especially when you see evil character in Rebels, like maul in S3, talking about letting the past die and saying a lot of thing akin to what was said in episode 8 that was really disliked by the community
I feel like that Rebels adresses a bit the divide in the community and ongoing philosophy of the new films
Makes even more sense if there's a possibility to rectcon in there

The biggest sin was not making Finn be the main character who’s force sensitive and eventually becomes a Jedi
I think it would’ve been better if she was Han Solo’s daughter. In the Force Awakens when Kylo was informed that Han had a girl with him he freaks out saying “WHAT GIRL!” And they even had that whole psychic connection in Last Jedi
It would have made some moments in TLJ awkward but that’s par for the course for the series lol.
It could have been a bit of a parallel to Jacen and Jaina too.

I never really had a big problem with the "Holdo Maneuver" cuz I was like "I mean, it makes sense why none of the good guys thought of it because you'd need a pilot to drive that thing and the Republic/Rebels probably wouldn't send someone to do that"

The fact the Separatists never thought of that when they have an army of expendable droids to do it is a big problem, so I'm with you on that one now lol

Has anybody noticed that the sequels had stuff to do, but made it not cannon. Remember Ben Skywalker, Luke's child with the double agent+ Nobody ever knew what really happened to the empire after the second deathstar explosion and Vader's death. They could have used remnant empire. Heck there could have been a new jedi order fighting the imperials with the new republic, like the galactic republic with the jedi.

How about make Finn one of those spinny shock troopers? So when that trooper comes up to him and yells “traitor” it means more and Finn can hold his own against him with the lightsaber. Maybe he discovered his force sensitivity while training with the first order? Maybe being “programmed from birth” could have been explored where empathy snaps him out of his first battle as a melee shock trooper. Maybe he couldn’t bear to hit an actual scared human? man oh man

I agree there were several back stories and missed opportunities that could have made these movies so much better. I mean no one even found out about the bond between the hero and villain until the end and it was just Palpatine that figured it out but Kylo was Ben again. No one even questioned the dynamic between the hero and villain. Not even Poe was like "Hey what's up between you two?" "What really happened on Snokes ship?" Or like "How the hell did they find us on Pasana?" Just to name a few. Seems like there are several books that could be spun off of this to expand those missed opportunities. Or like a Zach Snyder Starwars edit.

Most people say that the sequels were Terrible just because of the last Jedi but you actually give explanations on why the sequels were not as good as the other ones and I really like that
I don't remember but I think it was in the old Battlefront 2 game there's a mission where you have to disable a rebel star Cruiser from hyper spacing through a star destroyer and if you failed it just broke through the Star Destroyer you know like if a train hit a car none of this ridiculousness
Not to mention, Rise of Skywalker also ripped off Avengers: Endgame’s third act, remaking a worse version of such a good moment. Prob bc Abrams ran out of ideas. And Rey Skywalker moment ruined Star Wars. It’s all Kathleen’s fault. She is the true villain of the sequels.

also, the holdo maneuver should be a black hole not just a plot hole, because when you jump to lightspeed you get put in a parallell universe where you can travel faster, not put at the speed of light.
they should have made this into 2 movies! like The Rise of Skywalker part 1 and The Rise of Skywalker part 2 or something like that! that could have gave the director more time to fix the problems from The Last Jedi in part 1 and then wrap up the entire story in part 2!

Could be nice if Disney started a pertition through their subscribers to Disney+ and asked if there is an interest in getting a total remake of the sequal triology.
I think people would definitely have sat through a 4.5 hour movie if it didn't suck. Even with all the misfires people will sit through the second half of Dune. If they'd two-parted "Rise" and found a good writer, they would have been fine.
