I've never lost to Jesse's kirby, EVER LOL. Just to let people know, this is the SECOND time mooninite beat crimson blur with kirby. First time was in a money match. Mooninite only picks kirby against people he doesn't respect. So that should set the tone for this match

For a guy with 'Kirby' in his name, Kirbykaze couldn't have been any less enthused about a Kirby beating the Crimson Buster. And it was a really nice, close set. Everyone in the building besides kaze was into that game. Definitely not the ideal way to commentate.

I think people have more of a problem with his tone. He is very pedantic and derisive. I am fine with match up knowledge but the right person needs to be dishing it out.

No, I know that's not a legitimate excuse. Touche. Regardless, I think there's a time and place for everything (hype/information) - and to me, it's upsetting that people can't appreciate KK's wisdom during this match.
I think most of us here appreciate how smart and wise KK is but have a problem with his delivery. Commentary is hard though, I learned that first hand and hes better than me at both the game and commentary so I don't have much room to talk.

To folks wondering how it was this happened when Kirby is so far down the tier list : Three of Kirby's throw can be broken even after they have been initiated, and his down throw, which is the only one that cannot, actually puts him at a disadvantage (ie you can hit him right after the down throw guaranteed). Blur apparently did not know this and made Kirby look viable.
*Two of Kirby's throws. You can't break out of his up throw either.
oboeotaku I've seen Kirby flying off without whoever he was up-throwing, so I'll have to disagree. Never seen the throw being broken later though.

Randall and oboe are right, you can't break out of the up throw, but you can suicide with it if the platform below you moves (Yoshi's Story).
228zip Level 9 cpus are meant to break out of throws at the minimum possible time, and they never break out of the up throw, so I dunno where the hell you managed to see that. The majority of the internet also seems to agree with me, so I'm inclined to think that you're remembering something wrong...?

Brian Barajas Toph was doing the best he could, dawg. The other commentator sounded like he was whining to a parent about how Kirby was sitting on his half of the backseat.
This commentator is good at two things: melee analysis and taking hype away from a match. The other commentator picked up so much lack of hype slack. Kudos for being so knowledgeable, but seriously I hate the inflection used and attitude displayed.
Toph is fine at commentating. Never let KK commentate, ever.

That's just untrue lol. Zain just made Zuppy look like a toddler playing with a broken controller and he's a top 25 player in the world on the best character. No matter how dedicated you are a top 10 player would hammer you if you came at them with Kirby, even if you were 10x better than this guy.

Apparently many have said, though I don't know how true this is....
Kirby was one of the first characters made for Melee, and everybody else was designed afterwards, so it's essentially powercreep. Everyone else got better and due to time constraints, Kirby never got balanced out with the rest of the cast.
