Thank you. The iWeaveit program is fun to use. I like that you can play around with colors and changes to a draft to create your own design. It is better to experiment in the App than to make mistakes on the loom.
Wonderful instructional video. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Someone had recently mentioned this program to me and it is great to have this video as a how-to reference for it.
Dolores, Im not sure when I am supposed to weave the tabby. Do I do it everytime I do the pattern or just at the beginning of the project and at the end? Im so confused.
thank you very much for this clear explanation of draft reading! 👍🌸I have a 6 shaft floor loom, so I can only use 4 shafts for a pattern and use 2 shafts for a tabby? but maybe that's enough to start with.
Is there a way in this program to have it generate the reversed pattern for the 2nd half of a pattern when you are doing double weave/double wide type weaving?
Your videos have been great and you have answered many of my questions. I inherited an older HD floor loom with 4 shafts and 4 treadles. Each treadle controls one and only one shaft. How do I adjust to your treadles that control multiple shafts? Do I just step on more than one treadle as needed in the draft?
I am looking at page 74 in The Handweavers Pattern Directory. There are 12 tie downs, and the treadling is more than 6 treadles. I'm confused? How does this pattern work on a 4 shaft 6 treadle loom? Thanks
great video but I have a table top lever loom and I still do not understand how to read the draft for lever weaving, seems everything is only explained for the treadles
hello there thanks for teaching me how to read the weaving draft, I have a question, is the threading top across bar is design is the actual thread ends go through the heddle? thanks
Yes, if you imagine the bar across the top as if you are looking down on your shafts from above. The first shaft is closest to you. That is the bottom line in the threading bar. so if there is a mark on the 3rd line up. The thread goes through the heddle on the 3rd shaft away from you. Good luck with your weaving.
hey, im not english so im still a bit confused because of the terms used if this pattern where to be put in as a shaft code would it go :1&2 , 2&3 , 3&4 , 1&4 then repeat?
This is so confusing. What about a video on for rigid heddle weavers. More and more new weavers are exploring rigid heddle because of the cost and space factor in buying floor looms
Wow, I wish i had found your videos a year ago! Everthing is explained so clearly, thank you !
Thank you for the video I have just purchased a 8 shaft table loom and the app is exactly what I have been looking for thank you again.
Wow...its getting clearer with every video. You're the best!
Thank you.
Wow, I just discovered this video on iWeaveIt. Its really great. Thank you so much, Dolores for making this video.
Brilliant - thank you.

Great job! Very simple concepts but you covered it beautifully and at a good pace. Thank you--
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate the feedback.
I have this program, so I'm excited to watch this and see if I learn anything new!!
It is a good program. I plan on doing more videos using it & showing more of what it can do.
Happy to see you're back! I've been enjoying these weaving videos
Thank you. A vacation and a new puppy kept me busy during March. I'm back on track again now.
Thanks so much for sharing this, really helpful. Makes lots of sense

Learning so much. So much to learn!

What other "must have" books do you recommend for a new weaver? I have a table loom and a RHL.

Yes, you need to use both feet! Or sometimes you can hold down 2 treadles with one foot on both.
Thank you. I can do that!
Very helpful, thank you. 😊
