      They are actually very close. And Alcaraz has a lot more variety than Gonzalez ever did. We'll see how things progress from now on.

      @@delriver77 Alcaraz's FH is great - just lacks the shot selection brilliance of let's say a Fed. This is in part due to Carlos being a bit more athletic/defensive. But I'd like to see him get better at this over time.

      @@hanglythu1566 I remember exactly when Gonzalez retired in 2012 players at the time made a tribute video to him, and Djokovic was the one who said, "congratulations to Gonzalez and his career. Probably the biggest forehand ever in tennis."
      I don't remember ever seeing a clip where Federer said he would take Gonzalez' forehand. I never missed out on anything related to Federer while growing up in 2005-2013 especially

      @@TheseHoesAreLoyal Well that's different from "choosing it as the ideal forehand" right? Federer just said it a couple years ago, so if you stopped following him carefully in 2013 you may have missed it. I think you can still search for that video tho.

      Year end finals has always been a fast surface I am pretty sure. Paris is the only relative slow indoor hc i know of nowadays

      @@ghsense2626 facts. gonzo was more consistent off that wing though. more of a heavy loopy ball for the most part, but could pull the trigger too. alcaraz just has to dial it in a little more. I see too much fluctuation in his consistency of his forehand at the moment
