What is the minor chord progression for the song Damn If I Do by Alan Parsons Project? It sounds like what you'd hear in a sports game. Can you reply to me?

@@williameddy9919I'm not familiar with the song. A quick search online suggests chords - Gm - Cm - Eb - D. If that's correct it is in the key of G minor.

There's an even more popular example of this chord
Infact so popular it's already playing in your head but I could be wrong 😂
Also, this chord progression is a great example of the use of the circle of fifths

the feature of major and minor are the more melodical and more uplifting the track is the more sounds organized major scales are mostly really organized while minor scales like locrian are dissonant

i VI III VII : very common.
    i v VI VII : cool. How about the progression of i v VImaj7 VII? ex) Am - Em - Fmaj7 - G or Bm - F#m - Gmaj7 - A
i VII VI V : Andalusian Cadence. I love it!
i iv VII III VI iv V : The simple form of Neoclassical Cadence in my opinion. I thought i iv VII III VI iio V or i iv VII III VI II7b5 V.
And I do not know there are the progression i VI iv v and/or VI VII i VII.

Is there a reason you limit progressions to three chords?

A fancy video effect you could add to make this better for beginners is showing us the actual piano keys. 😂

Thanks for the comment. I don't reference any instrument as my viewers don't all play the same one / don't play any at all. Sorry if you found this frustrating.

@@WriteASong Keyboard is probably the most universal to use when you're talking about basic music theory / concepts, beside most people looking for this sort of information having access to midi DAWs. I'm not really criticizing your content, just realizing lately how most RUclips videos seem to be more concerned with grabbing viewers through quirky, entertainment with slick visuals and people trying to be funny, than conveying the real meat of the information. People taking so much time in intros, advertisements etc. ... Don't listen to me though.. I'm just a cranky , frustrated beginner who's bad at understanding mathematical patterns without actually seeing them visually laid out.
