      There are a lot of so called natural alternatives and I bought them all. NONE of them work. I've tried mixing 3-4 for a synergetic effect and that didn't work. I am autoimmune. Curcumin, Boswellia, Cordyceps, Licorice, Vit C and D, Krill oil, Serrapeptase and like 70 others. Don't waste your money. 2 years on herbs and my inflammatory markers only got worse while my wallet got lighter. The ONLY improvement I seen was with a serious diet of basically air and water. 100% gluten, dairy and sugar free and a low FODMAP diet on top of that.

      yeah, it is natural, but not an alternative it help mitigate the side effects of prednisone!? 😮

      @LynxSouth 8 месяцев назад

      Right. She expects us to trust her and buy her product, but she's too stupid to know that an _alternative_ is something to take INSTEAD OF prednisone, not something to mitigate pred's side effects. She's a pharmacist, not a doctor. I'm not impressed with doctors, but she's misleading viewers by naming herself & her channel 'Dr. [...]' .

    Just want to give a patient review. Male age 57, in excellent shape. I do have Asthma, and I've had a dry cough for about a month. My Dr put me on an Antibiotic for 7 days, and Prednisone for 5 days, @ 20mg per day 2 tabs, then one tab day 4 & 5 to tapper off. It's been 3 hours so far, and I haven't noticed anything so far maybe it's still early. I will keep you posted, but so far its helping me breath better and a little bit less congested. But so far I feel normal, and there was no drug allergy to the Prednisone. I also had 1 cup of coffee, no elevated heartbeat noticed drinking the coffee or an hour later. I know its still early but doing ok so far, keep you posted.

    Prednisone update day one: Peeing a lot, I guess this is the fluid retention they talked about. I'm drinking water and taking vitamins. Feel completely fine so far no other side effects noticed. Took at 7:30AM and it now 12:39 a little dry mouth Ive noticed. So far the congestion in my chest is really clearing up, and Like I said I have Asthma, and this is the best I've felt in over a month, and I'm having to cough much much less, the cough is 80% gone, I think I'm on the right track so far. Still early I will keep the updates coming.

      Thank You for posting this comment, so now I don't have to all over again, as I did in another video that somebody uploaded about Prednisone.
      Same symptoms as you. For the past few weeks, I have to pee every 2 1\2 hours it seems. It's rough having to do that through the night, instead of it interrupting what already long nights of pain with RA. So being off prednisone now for a while, the pee thing is still happening the same. I drink water after I pee too, otherwise I feel a little dehydrated.

    Checked out the supplement ingredients and it is definitely not for me. First it uses magnesium stearate as a filler that my immune system doesn't tolerate well. Not sure why rice flour is not used instead. Second, though I am probably the exception to the rule, magnesium glycinate does not agree with my digestive system, instead and I know it is the rarest used magnesium used as a supplement, I take Magnesium L-Threonate instead. Finally, calcium would kill my GI system as well. Finally, I will note my immune system reactions are quite rare.

    Dr. Megan! Wow, I am so glad that you were able to not only figure out how to treat yourself but also made it happened. You are an inspiration for so many of us. My dog was diagnosed with a rare cancer 10 months ago and started taking prednisolone three months ago. She experiencing all the major side effects more and more each day. The latest symptom is diarrhea with blood, for almost two weeks now. I can’t stop giving her the steroid, so what can I do to help her feel better and have a better time with life until it’s her time to go. Do you have any idea what I can do. Could you please help my dog? Thank you so much.

    Berberine and Berbere are NOT the same. Berbere is an Ethiopian/Eritrean spice that is a mixture of many spices including paprika, cayenne, ginger, etc. and Berberine is an alkaloid found in various plants including goldenseal, Oregon grape root, and barberry.

    My naturopath who I no longer see recommended chromium even before I was diagnosed with PMR. In fact it happened in the same year as the diagnosis. I am pre-diabetes and yet I have unexplained weight loss which is a symptom of diabetes, not pre-diabetes. My A1c reading was 6.4 just at the end of March. 6.5 is diabetes. Either I have something besides diabetes or the A1c results were artificially low for a year. My test in August was 6.1. It went up .3 since August and yet my doctor isn’t taking it seriously. Scary. Chromium instead of berberine is probably the way to go.

    No gluten/dairy/soy/sugar/GMO may help many health issues and lower swelling/inflammation. Gluten may hurt the gut lining so less nutrients absorb. Hair test to see good minerals/heavy metals may help from Amazon. Osteoprocare instead of dairy may help.

    Hi, I sometimes need a short course of pred. when my mild chronic asthma flares up, usually due to a bout of bronchitis, lately from Covid. Ever since our normal CFC asthma-rescue inhalers were "ruined" by the newer HFA's with their weaker spray and sometimes harmful propellents (like the horrible Pro-Air with its Ethanol), pred. is the only alternative for me. What is considered a safe two-week pred. dosage for asthma flare-up, including the taper-down? I recently did 20mg recently at the highest for a few days, can't quite taper down yet as wheezing is still bad enough to keep me up at night despite using my POS standard Albuterol inhaler. thanks!

      Thanks Megan! Started to watch the video and thought it so strange she thought prednisone would have some quick effects like a rescue-inhaler or something LOL. By the way, my other recent Asthma flare-up was actually from Covid which hit right after my coming home from prostate surgery, great timing. And prednisone really has helped once again.

      Hi, I took that daily dose long-term for similar issues, always tapering when possible and finally stopping completely after a few years. Was a lifesaver for me with no bad side-effects. That was 30 years ago, I'm now 71. As long-term, even low-dose corticosteroids are still controversial, highly recommend the easy-read medical "textbook" "Safe Uses of Cortisol" by the late great authority Dr. William Jefferies who preferred the old Cortef equivalent 20mg. for mild insufficiency and chided me about that a little bit. But he very much appreciated hearing my own case history of Corticosteroids actually curing my long severe bout of Post Viral CFS from '87.
