- How do we only have 48 more hours to complete our vision! We pick mom and dad up sunday mid day! How on earth will we get this done in time...tonight we gutted the kitchen space! We need a miracle!
Your stamina is insane! Clearly you are both motivated to make it happen and put a smile on mom and dad’s faces!!! Love this series!!!!

My thought for the back splash would have been a blow dryer to re heat it to soften it.

Teeny tiny ladder. Teeny tiny roller. Moving and painting and moving and painting! You are THE best son and daughter in law in the world. It's coming together, you will do this by Sunday! OH, by the way I HAVE A RED KITCHEN! Uppers and lowers. It gives a kitchen so much personality and it's so unexpected! I'm loving you loving Mom and Dad.
The revealed, de-nailed, repaired, and freshly painted ceiling looks amazing!
I'm excited to see how far you've gotten!! Too bad some of us don't live close so we could paint and you could do your magic with the rest!

You live in paradise, it looks almost too good to be real. Get a larger paint roller it will go much faster.
You need to have one of you pick them up and leave the 3 of you back to finish. So. Then You can utilize every second. Maybe they will be late? Loving this and looking forward to each episode ❤❤❤
The Tiny Paint Roller People 😂❤. I have used the exact same tiny roller on all my walls and furniture for 35 years! Believe it or not it actually gets the job done faster as you can move your arm quicker. I’ve tried to use the big roller but always come back to my teeny tiny one. Much less painful on the shoulders as well. Love this series-cannot wait until the final reveal. Way to go Elysia and Philip! You are wonderful children any parent would be proud to have.

What a wonderful Father's Day gift for Dad (and mom)..........and it wasn't the "traditional Mom's giving/doing this for Dad" Father's Day gift either!!! For once.....MOM had nothing to do with it LOL

I always used a large roller until I saw Elysia painting with a small one. Now that’s all I use too, easier on my arms and less mess I find.
agreed! The large ones i get half tha painting doen because my wrist gives up hahah
I can do a large roller if on extension pole doesn't seem to kill the wrists as bad.
If you don't get it done in time, maybe they can stay at your house with the boys and you and Phil can get it wiped out. It's a massive project, but you two are killin' it!!!

I’m stressed out waiting for the next 48 hours. With your 2 teenage sons helping with the extra duties I know it will get accomplished! Can’t wait to see it!!
Knobs on the lower cabinets, Closed handles on the waist/hip high drawers. Prevents catching pockets, belt loops or apron strings, etc on knobs. Heard this from a finish carpenter. Just something to consider.

would have been worth a paint sprayer for all that beadboard. Just spray and it would fill all the cracks. That was a huge job to tackle for such a short amount of time for sure. Hope it works out well!
I've really enjoyed this project. I'm a bit sad it's coming to a close.

A great Father’s Day gift!!!!!
I was renovating my home my grandparents built in 1909. The ceilings were covered with wallpaper and I found the same wood. It wasn’t painted, it was installed with the flat side down, with patched areas as it wasn’t going to be seen. But I was so excited and surprised to find the beautiful tongue and groove wood. Did you check the other walls? Congratulations on the find! Fran

I'm truly enjoying watching this mini series and am rooting for the finish line. Question: Why aren't you using a paint extension pole (the kind that adjusts shorter to longer) and a different nap on the roller? You would be able to do the painting so much easier. Also, are you using any type of primer - that way you would need less coats of paint!

I have those fake drawer fronts underneath my sink in my kitchen. The previous owner put hinges on them and put plastic trays on the inside. I use them to store S.O.S. pads small brushes, things I don’t want out where they can be seen. It’s always nice to use all the storage you can. It’s so fun watching this project.
Add to use gray as a base coat before I painted a red wall in my grandson's bedroom. Painting it over white will take many coats. Can you say pink under tone.

Elisha, it is to cut down on scrubbing the wall from splatters and grease. Metal is easier to clean than sheet rock or paint. 😬

The 24 plates cracked me up. My mom’s second home was like that. Needless to say, I went in and took out every extra dish and threw them out. Mix matched and useless. That is too funny.

My grandma had windows all around her dining room and she had bright red curtains. It was beautiful 😍 I hate painting the second coat of white because you can’t see where you’ve already painted. Great job so far 🥰

I was so excited to see the trout swimming up stream. I am from middle Ga US which is south east US. Is has been hot here since April our spring flowers start blooming in February. Already in the high 80s have already had a few days in the 90s. I picked my frist tomato yesterday my son-in- law has already picked some.
