Base 9 information storage is crazy. I thought my design was clever with 3. The extra strength "bit" was just to toggle the bottom right segment, but I still had to use 2 seperate feed tapes. Shoving it all into 1 tape must have been a fun puzzle

WOW! - Shaved a whole 5x blocks off of the previous design. This one is faster too I am sure of it.
I understand that the fill levels = different redstone level and glass = 0. I can even get my head around the on/off state copper bulbs giving 15/0 and the full block that will allow a signal to pass through. However, what are the stairs for? Sorry if I am being dumb, I'd just like to understand.
