  • Viltrox has already produced incredibly good lenses in the past, like the 13mm F1.4 and the 75mm F1.2... But this is just spectacular!
I was really impressed by the performance of this incredibly affordable lens.

I own the 56, 13, 75 and 27 from Viltrox. The Pro line is fabulous indeed !!
Only downside the 75mm is a bit on the heavy side, I wondered if it would be the same with the 27mm and actually the weight and balance feels much much closer to the 13mm, which is totally fine for me to carry all day all around. Wonderfull !

Oh yes the 27 is more manageable than the 75mm, which is huge. That and the minimum focusing distance made me prefer the new 56mm 1.2 from Fuji

Great video as always! I’d like to try out both the XF 33 f1.4 as well as this lens! Looks like you can’t go wrong either way

Very good review Luca, this is definitely a great option for Fuji shooters. I already have the XF33 f/1.4 (which is very close in focal length), the quality of the background blur doesn’t really concern me much because I mainly use it for street “stuff” and always between f/5.6 and f/8 to get more of the environment. Having said that, if I didn’t have the XF33, I would definitely get this lens based on your user experience. Be well and stay safe.

Great Video Luca. I also have the 27mm Viltrox. It is a fantastic lens. 😊

great review once again..I'm torn between this one and xf 23 1.4 LR WR..wonder what would be your choice?

I would choose the Viltrox if I'm being honest. It's bigger and heavier, but it's magical. The 23 fuji is a great lens, but I'm more attracted to the Viltrox field of view and overall "look"

Di solito aspetto il video in italiano ma è talmente bello questo obiettivo e questa recensione è fatta talmente bene che non ho resistito complimenti

I heard somewhere that it's not good for video because it has a lot of breathing.

I mentioned that in my video, that's the only downside for video shooters

Have you ever used Samyang lenses at all ??

Yes, the 12mm F2 (both manual and autofocus, you can check the review on the AF version in my channel). For Sony I have also tested the 75mm 1.8, which is a great lens

You're not gonna shoot at F-16 I can't think of a scenario where you would shoot at F-16 even landscape photos which I'm a landscape photographer I only shoot at F11 on a crop sensor body. There is virtually no reason to shoot F11 16 and I would argue with that with anyone. I have the 75 mm lens and it's amazing and I have been looking at this lens as combo

It's a great combo... As for the F16 need, I agree, you almost never do that, but sometimes if you need a long exposure without ND filters it's your only option.
I would argue however you wouldn't be shooting that scenario with this lens
