I (Attempted) to install a DeeZee brand unit on my '99 F-350 and messed up. I followed the instructions but the darn blind nut wouldn't grip inside the hole. The hole in my tailgate is the same as yours and looks to be much bigger than it should be.....

Can you tell me what the specs or what the part number is for the shock? I'm trying to engineer it such that it pulls instead.
