Soooo in love with my GL66. Had a choice to get a desktop but I couldn’t give up the portable freedom from a laptop 💻. On top of purchasing the 2 year warranty with this beast, it’s gonna be a long fun journey. Already thinking about my next upgrade years down the road! Just to imagine what kind of gaming laptops they’ll have out then is insane!!

Better a RTX 3060 with high TGP, Asus, ACER and some companies increased their TGP to 125-135W, better than this poor RTX 3070 85w ;)

I have the newer GL75 12UEK and noticed that whenever I open a program with the elevated administrator, the mouse becomes unresponsive for 1 to 2 seconds. This happens even after a fresh install of Windows 11 pro...It looks like an EC issue.

I have a question, please. I have a problem with my GL76. I noticed that GL76 Type C is not thunderbolt, because I wanted to connect 2 monitors, but GL76 only has 1 HDMI port. I have this laptop but it says it doesn't support dragon center when I download it. Is there anything I can download to make the RGB have other modes on it? The ones on there right now are ok but I wish I could some of the things dragon center can do.

Hello, I am setting the keyboard backlight settings in profiles in msi center. But when you click on f8 (toggle the backlight), the settings are reset. Who can help?
i got mine open boxed. at 52% off lol. It literally had a minor dent on the dragon logo. Its running well nothing wrong after a year.
something feels off with the arrow keys. Im using the same laptop here, but when I hold down one of the arrow keys (like during a fighting game, where I might hold down or back to crouch/block) they start repeating oddly, have some kind of lag to them that continues after I let go, and itll act like im letting go and re-pressing it despite holding the button the entire time. Help? (I adjusted the "repeat delay" and "rate" but nothing seemed to feel right and the issue persists. all that changes is how long before it starts to happen.

@@PrincessAshley12 Yes, the mobile versions of RTX or any other GTX whatever is Max Q or TI version it doesen't perform like the desktop versions.
For example RTX 3060 (mobile) will most likely perform like a 2060 desktop, keep this in my when you're going to buy a gaming laptop

Pulse GL76 OR Lenovo Legion 5 17.3?. the Lenovo comes with a 3070rtx and still cheaper!! which one is better in term of build quality?
I need it for 3d design and rendering, so colors accuracy is important, thermal and fans noise is important too because i might leave it rendering all night

Also, the laptop (GL66 / GF66 / GF63) has an unpredicted hinge design flaw that fails just after the warranty ends !
Can't decide between this or Lenovo Legion 5... I've heard that pulsegl66 has really terrible cooling. Can some owner tell something more about temperatures? And if its loud? How is it during long time gaming sessions? I would appreciate a reply from a person who owns it for a month or two.
To be honest, it’s not great. I get usually around 68-75 degrees Celsius when playing most games on full settings but it often climbs above 80 on more demanding games if playing for longer than an hour or so. It’s only over hit over 90 a couple times (without cooler boost). The cooler boost will definitely keep it manageable but it’s so damn loud that I usually don’t use it unless I have headphones on. Still quieter than the ps4 pro though lol. I’m considering swapping the thermal paste and possibly getting a cooling pad. On top of that, the battery life is abysmal. I get maybe an hour and a half from full charge which is garbage. It doesn’t even last all the way through class unless I plug it in. Maybe I’m not turning down the power usage as much as I can but I put it in super battery mode in msi center and still only get a little over an hour. I’m definitely upgrading to a 93w/hr battery soon. I guess I shouldn’t expect much in terms of battery life when it’s got powerful hardware like that under the hood. But for the most part, this laptop is pretty badass for gaming. This is my first pc with decent hardware so it’s a major step up for me from console gaming and my budget pc I built years ago. I get more than 60fps on every game I play and usually get around 120-150. Doom eternal is about 120fps with Ray tracing and ultra graphics at 1080p and currently getting like 90-120 on fallout 4 with 300+ mods including retextures and enb’s. I would say that for the most part, this is a great gaming laptop. If you’re in a well ventilated area, you could certainly have long gaming sessions and it will stay at a decent temp and perform well. Part of the reason I think I get so hot is because most the time I’m playing on a lap pad on my bed or the couch. It has its draw backs but overall a great laptop

So far I have had a very pleasant experience with the GL66 RTX3070 the only ridiculous complaint is that you cannot customize the keyboard's rgb better (put different colors on the keys at the same time)

The MSI website shows that model listed as "Pulse GL66 11UGKV-001" and it links to Amazon for purchase. I saw that one too and almost snagged it since it's listed the same price as what New Egg has the 3060 for, but I don't need a 3070 for my low-mid quality games and sidescrollers, so I opted for the 3050Ti over at New Egg to save a few hundred bucks and snag a game I've had my eye on as part of their bundle pack.
@I Hate The Government I absolutely adore mine so far. First step was reformat and put all my own OS and software version on it to remove the bloatware Windows ships with. It runs like a freaking DREAM! I am positive I've found the perfect laptop. I did end up upgrading to the 3060 but bought the version being sold over on New Egg, not Amazon, as New Egg actually has decent warranties and honors them.
Help me please...i simply dont know what to do..i ve bought GL76 and while i play games, my CPU gets 90-97 C with turbo cooling boost...can someone tell is that ok or not - internet have so few info about this laptop, half people\manuals say that this is ok and the other half says that this is catastrofic(after 0,5-1 yeah i will have peace of junk)...i think i am going crazy(this is my first laptop)...
@@sky7581 found kinda best solution about heating...download throttlestop program and turn "disable turboboost" flag on...and as i saw this "disable" is somehow different with bios disabling(when i disable in bios my note worked awfull, and with programm disabling everything works just fine..and heating doesn't go above 70)

Pulse sounds like a cool series brand. Your marketing about "pulsating power" sounds terrible. Pulsating power is a bad thing, any user would want steady constant power.
The problem with this laptop is that one has so many cuts in their specification that ends in a mediocre laptop. It has a "RGB" keyboard, but it is monozonal. It has multiple ports, but it has no high speed ports, display port and thunderbolt. It has a good processor, but AMD achieves better results in processors of similar price range. It has a 144hz fhd screen, but with a terrible contrast where Lenovo offers you 165hz with better image quality. It has an RTX 3070 card, but it is 85w TDP. It is relatively light but has a very poor battery life. It has a metal cover, but the plastics and the trackpad are very bad.
Conclusion? this notebook tries to have everything but it is all cut out. too many buts for the price it is worth. Overall it has an acceptable performance, but it does not shine in anything, not even in its GPU which should be its main attraction: cutting everything to obtain the best graphic power, but in the end it is not, for those miserable 85w.
Disappointing.

Do not watch review videos of products made by the VENDOR , you will never get a non bias review. Find an independent non sponsored qualified reviewer.
With those tiny airvents, don't think it will cool properly. Design is just awful, but that is eye of the beholder I guess.
I mean laptop has an amazing look but the internal design in regarsd of cooling I heard is really bad. But I'd love to hear more from somebody who already has used it for a while.
@@zzzolll Seems it is pretty much the same with the most gaming laptops, generation by generation. You can't cheat the physics. Although some having decent temps under the load, like around 80°C which is quite an accomplishment considering how powerful the laptop CPU's are right now. Regarding the looks as I say it is in the eye of the beholder, I think it looks absolutely hideous :D

Honestly, MSI, I love your products but your new laptops are getting ridiculously stupid with some of the features. Nobody needs an extra crosshair in an FPS game and it is just bad feature altogether.
Also who was that genius, who thought it will be a good idea to dedicate a power button into the keyboard as a normal key? 2:02 That is just simple flaw. So many times the users will turn off their laptops instead of turning on the Num keys. Swapping the FN keys is a useless function at all.
So many laptop manufacturers are doing this now unfortunately. MSI is one of the few that hasn't done it until now.

“THINK TWICE before choosing MSI products due to SUBSTANDARD PRODUCT QUALITY & HIGHLY UNRELIABLE HARDWARE COMPONENTS “
I had purchased MSI Gaming Laptop Pulse GL66, Intel 11th Gen. i7-11800H in the month of July’22 and within a very short time of normal usage, LCD & LVDS display issues were encountered in the month of Oct’22 to which MSI India customer care & service team informed that the entire display unit has to be replaced under warranty.
As I have shelled out a huge penny to purchase a 'defect free product' & not a 'defect prone product' and when a manufacturing / product defect is noticed within a short time of usage, I cannot simply accept for a product repair as per MSI policy as currently I have already lost the value for this product since the factory seal has been opened, minor scratches can be noticed post repair, laptop screen open & close feel is completely different from what it was before the repair & finally the factory fit & finish is hampered. As a customer, why should I bear all these losses when there is no fault of mine.
It was not a small issue to just let it off & get repaired under warranty, whereas the entire display unit & lvds was kaput within this short-time of usage which questions me on the MSI product quality & reliability and now post warranty repair, the product has lost its value as mentioned above.
Note: As per the mail communication, MSI India policy states "As per MSI policy, refund or replacement can be done within 7 working days from the point of purchase. We do have only after repair services only."
Also, even if the product defect / fault is from MSI’s end, their policies are in such a way that they are all favorable to the company and not the customer who is at no fault as in my case. "ETHICALLY" speaking why should I accept a faulty repaired product when I have paid, purchased and trusted on MSI product considering it to be a defect free.
“Hence, I would suggest all the prospect buyers to rethink on your decision before purchasing MSI products so that you would not regret post purchase after shelling out your hard-earned money.”
