Kitbashing a Salamanders Captain Hi everyone, welcome to my latest video. This covers how I kitbashed this Salamanders Captain. I hope you like it! If you want to support the channel or join the community, please check out the links below! www.patreon.com/PhoenixCommissions discord.gg/ue5sXKH7
Can I find a painting tutorial anywhere? The glow around the head is very convincing and something I've always wanted to achieve. Great conversion and the paint looked nice from what was shown briefly in the beginning. Thanks for the videos. Always super crisp.
Even though I would call myself reasonably experienced when it comes to pinning, I still take stuff away from this video: - drill from both sides to prevent having the exit in the wrong spot/angle (how have I not though about this before?!?) - the more the angle matters (like with weapons) the more room you should give yourself by using a smaller diameter pin compared to the whole you drilled
Great kitbash! Always awesome to see more varied content like this, even though it might not be everyone's cup of tea it really takes me back to my start into the hobby.

Love this!!! Thanks for the inspiration and I'm definitely going to follow this guide with my captain.
I normally cut off the weapon with an xacto blade just so I can preserve extra bits.
Great job, my man. Turned out great 👍🏻
