    Brilliant work! I have the same exact F-Type R 2017 Dark Sapphire Metallic, except my wheels are gloss black. I’ve had mine corrected, polished and coated. But, I dare say this one looks just slightly better!

      Hey Greg!
      Thanks so much for subscribing it's much appreciated!
      For an F Pace our typical package would be between £450 and £1200 based on a 3 year ceramic and standard interior valet :)
      (Varies based on amount of corrective polishing)

    You have polished in 2 stages. Which products did you use?
    Is it correct that the clear coat on the F-Type R is rather soft?

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  6 месяцев назад +1

      Jaguar paint in general is on the softer side yes - this wasn't quite as soft as a Rang Rover
      It was in 2 or 3 stages in some places. Thought I may have mentioned the pads but if not was using Microfibre cutting pads or Yellow LC pads and Rupes yellow for refinement. ☺️👍🏼

    Would you have recommended ppf as well? If so does it go ontop of the ceramic coat?

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  5 месяцев назад

      PPF is always the best option for overall looks and protection
      Some clients do not have the budget or do not plan on keeping the car for a long time to make it worth while
      Some say you can't PPF over ceramic, but we've done full car PPF over a previously detailed and coated car (as the owner kept scratching it and getting upset lol) and it looked amazing, one of our best installs and the car has gone on to win awards
      It is however, a waste of time in 90% of cases polishing and ceramic coating before putting PPF on, as PPF hides swirl marks and many sanding marks (Please check my "Shorts" out, I have a video showing this )
      That being said you still need to remove any bird dirt etchings, and I would personally remove sanding marks for my own OCD , prior to application- But regular swirls, such as what were on this car, would be completely hidden.
      Then you never have to worry about swirl marks again as with regular "careful" washing they will never come back with good quality film

    which polish are you using 🤔

  • @LagunaLeonhart
    @LagunaLeonhart 5 месяцев назад

    Snowfoam the engine bay?
    Really not sure about that

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  5 месяцев назад

      Virtually all modern engines are fine to clean in such a manner - Some (including the F type) have some *reported issues* but these are both over reported, and can be easily worked around. Furthermore - ny using 0 TDS water (such as what we make in house) , it is completely non conductive, and so you have no problems anyway
      I have washed hundreds of engines without issue :)
      The only things to be careful of really are excessive pressure aimed at sensors/connectors and older cars with more exposed wiring, HT leads/distributor caps and exposed air intakes. All modern stuff has at least some weatherproof sealing on the connectors.

    How many hours to polish car

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  Год назад

      This was approx 32-35 hours of work in total. To clean / polish / ceramic and do the interior etc. 😊

      @@OnTrackDetailingbrilliant job. How would rate the clear coat hardness of the F-type?

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you, sorry I did not see your response - Like most JLR product it is medium to soft , without soft cloths you can also leave marring during coating application ! @@JWL-UK

    Been watching detail and polishing vids for about 5 years and dabbling a bit on my own cars first time ever seen a procedure without clay bar/mitt before the polishing stage not good in my opinion.

    • @OnTrackDetailing
      @OnTrackDetailing  Год назад

      It was decontaminated fully.
      It was not filmed (I do discuss this in the video briefly).
      For your information - clay bar is not always needed if the paint is smooth and contamination can be removed chemically. You are just adding defects for the sake of it.
      I hope the results of the detail speak for itself. 😊👍

      @@OnTrackDetailing Chemical decontamination doesn't get rid of all the embedded stuff all the top detailers bar none clay bar before polishing.I stopped watching soon as you started polishing because of the reasons above.

      @OnTrackDetailing  Год назад

      @bpy4073 Fair enough. As I said, I did clay the paint. But this wasn't filmed.
      It's a shame you didn't watch to the end. The result is amazing.
      Thank you for your view. 👍
