I love how nonjudgmental and flexible you sound. I’m a Muslim mom and I loved the Christian mom content for sometime but some of it started feeling so judgemental and harsh. Anyway, I really appreciate that you shared a realistic video of what this looks like in your home. Thank you and God bless you and your family.

Thanks for this video! You seem so much calmer and happier than a few years ago and it’s very inspiring. I have 2 kids (4 and 9months) and while I thought I was doing ok, it’s been a struggle lately and this video helped me realize I could be making so much more of our days and time together. I’d love to see some more sample schedules from your family. My baby is on two naps right now, and between nursing, nap time/bedtime routines, and all the daily house chores, I feel like the day just gets away from me and I struggle to coordinate the timing to even just take the kids outside. I think I’m going to get this book and really evaluate how I manage our time and spend our days. Thank you!

I came across this video and I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old and I wanted to homeschool them! I also wanted to schedule my days with my children because they be all over the place and I be so burnt out. Thanks for this video! It’s so packed full of information!

I wanted to add - I am a retired teacher but love your videos and I loved what you said in this one that this is your "job" and it gives it a different perspective - one of pride and wanting to do it well. I have recently come to this conclusion myself being retired. I was absolutely lost the first month or so until I decided to do just what you advised. Retirement is my "job" and I want to do it well so it's changed my perspective and I feel productive and happy!

I started loosely scheduling my day as well as a first time stay at home mama of a now 6 month old. It’s a game changer. I was so used to being highly productive prior to becoming a mom and I felt guilty when my husband came home more often than not to a disheveled home. He is so kind and helps me and never complains. But staying at home is a job and I want to do my job well. Since scheduling things out to a degree I have felt so much more peaceful and accomplished. I divide my cleaning by day- Monday: kitchen/living room, Tuesday: bathrooms, Wednesday: bedrooms. I am able to do a deep clean when I separate it out (I LOVE and thrive in a clean and organized home). The other days I meal prep, grocery shop, tidy up and do laundry. I try to schedule nothing Sundays so we can have a true day to rest and spend as a family. Since being more intentional I can spend more time with my little man playing instead of running around like a chicken with my head cut off and inadvertently getting frustrated. These tips are SO helpful. I am hoping I will remember them once my son is older. I love the one about spending undivided time with your child so they feel filled up and then they will allow you to have quiet time. I feel like so many moms don’t know that or can’t do that because they are so busy.

I’m such a type B! Never had routine, very go-with-the-flow. But I’ve LOVED the kind of organized, caring, and intentional person being a mom has made me to be. God is so good and gracious in growing us! Out of necessity, I’ve become so organized and it makes for such a joyous home. Also, I enjoy my kids more and they thrive off of it. You’re doing amazing!

Thank you for posting this! I have watched you for several years and love your content. You are excellent at connecting with my heart girl! I have two daughters, 15 months and 4 years and we are headed for homeschool as well this upcoming year. I’m 1000% a fly by the seat of my pants person and I’m struggling. This attribute has been a huge blessing in my life because it actually led my husband and I to be foster parents where we take extra kiddos in on a whim. We are in the works of preparing to potentially take in a 14 year old teen mom this week! So here enters my need for better structure and more intentionality. I would love to feel less overwhelmed and maybe make it to things on time a little more often.😂This is the 4th day I have sat down and planned out my day by 30 minute increments and it has helped TREMENDOUSLY. Thank you! I have ordered the managers of their household book and can’t wait to read through the rest of it.

I’m so glad you posted this video! I have been a SAHM for 2 years now and it has been like a fire hydrant to the face! 😂 So I too have been learning along the way and I could relate SO MUCH to things you said in the video! And I am an organized person and it’s still been HARD and have even had a schedule laid out for 2 years that I never followed bc I was so exhausted 😩 My youngest turned 2 and my oldest is about to turn 5 and it is JUST NOW getting soooo much easier! And I too have noticed with them that 30 minutes is their attention limit without acting wild 😂 THANK YOU for sharing your tips bc I need to reduce this learning curve as quick as possible! 😂 I will be home schooling soon too! I don’t understand why people get so upset when kids time is scheduled. They do it in school and they do it when they’re adults so that’s just part of life. I don’t think people realize the time is scheduled based around BEING A KID. So I have their schedule set up for their play time which is the way they learn. It helps mom run the house and kids learn to independently play and use their imagination and also exercise.

They don't like coloring because you are using Rose Art crayons. HA! Just kidding (retired teacher here and Crayola is the only crayon for me.) But seriously, one thing my kinders loved was sticker stories. You can download (for free) the paper for it. It can be with lines or no lines. They get to choose 5-7 (or as many as you like) stickers and write a story about it. If kids aren't writers yet, they can tell you the story with the stickers. It's a great way to inspire creativity but also work on main idea and supporting details, sequencing (first, next, last) and other reading/writing standards.
