@@fire_rises & @Rejected-From-Eve .Zero yeah, a dying alternate timeline or universe became infested with some kind of extradimensional parasite and the "Officers" were things they invented to combat or hold it at bay. Wow this was a really good one! The writing had me on edge. Usually I listen to these to sleep but this story had my entire body electrified. Unique and brilliant!
what world building, it does alot of half assed world building but as of right now nothing was explained not even a teeny bit, it mumbled about some things here and there but never gave a solid point on ANYTHING even to be hinted on.
From another dimensiin they came running from the parasite. Damm so intriguin, like the part where its said they look human but arent. A short novel would be delciious
I'm glad for the little blurb in the beginning about what people with schizophrenia are actually like. Way too many creepypastas fall back on ignorant stereotypes about mentally ill people from authors who apparently think "psychotic" and "psychopathic" mean the same thing (here's a pointer: people with schizophrenia are far more likely statistically to be victims of violence than perpetrators of it, and in general tend to be some of the lowest people on the overall "social ladder", whereas people with psychopathic/sociopathic tendencies often end up having important positions in government, finance, military command, etc. while a comparatively smaller number who are less able to control their impulses become your stereotypical serial killer, serial rapists, etc. So in any event, the difference is actually kind of night and day if anything)
This is not true, and I recommend that anyone interested in fact over fiction look in to this themselves. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Persons with schizophrenia are thought to be at increased risk of committing violent crime 4 to 6 times the level of general population individuals without this disorder." The outcomes of the study are no doubt discouraging to the mental health community's efforts to convince the public that people with mental illness are not necessarily violent individuals. But the association also can't be ignored. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Schizophrenia and violent crime: a population-based study Psychol Med 2014 Oct Epub 2014 Mar 26 Previous studies have found that patients with schizophrenia are more likely to be violent than the general population. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that increased risk of violence is part of the clinical picture of schizophrenia and needs to be recognized as a legitimate, essential, aspect of clinical management.
When he thought his friends might have died in the hands of the humanoid, I expected something more than worry in his voice. Like shock, or hopelessness, or franticness. This guy has a blood of a psycho or just has really strong personality.
One of the bunkers was dark and Gross and smelled so bad we put on our breathers and the cell's where filled with body parts Walls everything was covered with blood piles of guts and in blood was written ' eater's they will Smell you run " over and over on the walls we found the office with the files we where sent in for and left as fast as we could and when we got out of tunnel hatch I looked down it one more time and I saw blue glowing eye's stairing back at me with big toothy grin and I slammed the hatch and locked it...and we made it out of jungle in short order with my team....
I know it. That was crazy what the people of Australia went through, under the guise of "covid protocol". Sounds more like a soft rollout for Marshall Law.
dude for real this had the potential to be something great but honestly it flopped pretty hard for me when the guy just suddenly appears above ground, no explanation of anything or even hinting at an explanation.
The entire bunker was built by people from an alternate dimension, where they have encountered some kind of weird parasites and infection caused by them (entropic parasites). They had a technology to modify humans in some kind of cyborgs or whatever to be immune - "reconstitued" officers. However, apparently that was not enough - so they were forced to flee to "our" dimension: by opening the portal underground and building the bunker from down up. Then at some point their ReCon Officer for some reason was damaged, which made it violent, and they intended to send him (or it?) back, but apparently were unable to. So either due to ReCon Officer malfunctioning and becoming a threat or because of everyone in their dimension killed by parasites (or both), the surviving people from the other dimension were forced flee to the surface from the bunker and mix in with local population.
There needs to be more stories of underground tunnels and catacombs but if there are in England it should be the SAS investigation and if in Germany or France let it be there army special forces.
This one is definitely a bit unique, there have been stories about the underground tunnels/catacombs, but this is on another level. Really interesting! Love to hear more about it.
