@@MattTheCarguy Yep! 2022 IS 500 USB w/Red interior. Coming up on my 1 year anniversary of owning the car. I work from home, but I've wracked up 12K miles anyway! 😍 I love this thing...
I'm in Colorado, went to the Lexus dealership yesterday and they had to order this Grecian Water blue 350 from the east coast. Apparently there are only 11 in the inventory in the whole country with this color. Very, very rare.
My 2023 Lexus IS 350 F Sport RWD has everything, but the handling package. Curious if the LSD, adaptive suspension and BBS wheels make a huge difference in driving performance?
I'll answer it with a question. How long are you planning to keep the vehicle. If you are looking to lease or trade within 2-4 years BMW would be a good choice. I like the driving dynamics of the BMW better than Lexus. But they are not nearly as reliable as Lexus and drop in value faster, so if you want to keep it for a while IS350 F Sport would be my choice.
@@MattTheCarguy That was exactly what I was thinking about the quality part... I always owned nothing but Japanese cars (Honda and Acuras mainly) due to its reputation of reliability. But wanted to try a German car. When I test drove the BMW 230, I was surprised how well the performance was and the B48 engine is fairly quick. When I test drove the IS350, it felt smooth and even though it was a bigger engine (V6), i felt the B48 4 cylinder engine was quicker. I am assuming because of the added turbo. The interior of the 230 felt more expensive compared IS350 since they have not updated the interior for a long time. I guess it all boils down to do i want performance vs quality, However, I did hear that BMW quality has improved compared to the past. Also one thing to note is BMW has a 3 year free maintenance while lexus has only 1 year. Very hard to decision to choose.
@@cvanunen None. lol. I could not make up mind so I decided to keep my 2020 Honda Accord 2.0 Sport. I thought about it and didn't have the special feeling like my Accord. Plus if bought any of those luxury brand, my insurance was going to go higher $100.00 so it wasnt worth it in the end.
I had a 2021 IS350 FSport and was disappointed in the performance but loved the rest of the car, so I traded it in for a 2022 IS500. If you like this car and want better performance, get the IS500……ITS WORTH IT.
I went in to buy the RC F, and they had a IS 500 F Sport sitting next to it - I bought the RC F, but I think the IS 500 is a bit prettier- love the hood especially - beauty of a car.
@@MattTheCarguy it is a bit sportier but it’s not much faster to compensate. The current Camry is sporty for what it is and it’s almost up there with Lexus f sport
you need to drive it to appreciate it. IS350 is very agile, and handling is superb. the engine sound is entirely different. Numbers don't tell the whole story. When I am driving IS350, I feel like everything is a snap tight, precision handling. Very different car from camry.
In short, NO it doesn't. The IS350 gets trounced the competition. Lexus is stuck using larger engines to compete with smaller ones because they're using a V6 and V8 from 2006 and 2008. It's gorgeous though. You'd think they'd do something with the outdated interior, but it's still stuck in 2014.
Drivewise Germans win hands down. I do love Lexus design. As far as interior I dont mind however it is behind the competition. They are playing it safe.
Awesome car but why why CD PLAYERS in a 2023 car are you out of you’re mind Lexus wake up and take that out please! This is the only reason why I would buy that vehicle CD DECK PLAYERS IS A JOKE FOR 2023
I love how modern/old school lexus is with their cars. Unlike a Mercedes with 100 lights inside of your car lol
Both have some advantages. But you are right 99% wont use most gadgets
Modern? How is this interior from 2014 modern? Modern/Old school? What?
Nice review Just got one and enjoyed having things explained Thanks I love the car
Thank you for watching! Enjoy your new ride! Great choice!
How did your purchase go?
Just bought a 2021 exact copy, only difference AWD and no memory seat positions, love the car !
Congratulations!!
Nice review, thanks for showing us the car!
You are very welcome! Is that your car in profile picture?

Love my Lexus IS 350 AWD F Sport. I got the Caviar color for exterior and the red interior.
Sounds like a really nice spec.
How were the negotiations?

I want that color combination ❤

I think it does. You should test drive one since you've been driving one without and have to see for yourself.
Thanks for the review. I have heard Michelin Pilot 4S tires might improve traction?
Definitely sticky sport tires so it would not surprise me.
@@MattTheCarguy thanks
If Lexus would have made this car about 350 hp, it would have been spot on.
Good idea! How about turbocharging it and going for 400hp!?
How about the IS500? Basically the same car with a 472hp V8
Would you recommend 2024 Lexus IS350 with F sport design or the 2024 BMW 230 wt M sport package?

Does it have a smooth ride or is it jarring going over bumps and cracks in the road?
Its smoother than most

I bet! But its 15K more 😪
@user-pp2hr5pg9iI’m sorry that I hurt your feelings. 😢
It irks me that they don't put f sport badges on the back this year. I wonder how much money that saves them.
Probably a whole 50c. Lol
I thought only the F Sport handling came with that badge. Glad to know that’s not the case 🤣
Only f sport gets badges but on the sides. There used to be one on the back as well.

They both look great ! I would have a hard time deciding.
Great car, headroom in the rear is one of the best but the cupholders are the worse, too far back to be of any use, and nowhere to put your stuff. =/
There is always room for improvement.
Analog clock. Ehh. Does it have the shifter manumatic shifting? Yes, i zoomed in on a screen shot. Cost? Haha flooring it in a parking lot. Lol
Depending on what you like. And yes you have the ability to manually change gear either on the steering wheel or with the shifter itself.
The exterior is nice but the interior needs work
It could use some work to bring it up to speed. Thanks for watching!
*talks about paint*
*leans on and puts a whole palm print on the hood*
Ohh must have caused unrepairable damage lol
The performance isn’t notably better than a v6 Camry.
Numberwise its almost the same at 5.6 0-60 but Lexus being a RWD and much shorter than Camry feels a lot sportier
