As I've told you when I attended one of your past live streams, thanks to you all sharing all these different vehicles I was able to choose my first lone purchased car (2022 Kia Forte). Six months and counting, and its performing well. May play around with its sport mode while gas prices near me are a lot better at the moment

This is a nice commercial for Honda and Tampa Honda. Honestly sick of the RUclipsrs buying these at sticker and writing them off as “long term tester” as a business expense most likely. What a joke. I’ve bought a dozen Hondas probably and all the dealers I see are asking me for $65,000. Using your platform to gain access for test drives and content is fine, but this shit is a slap in the face from Honda to all the regular consumers. (And the fact you got a test drive… must be nice)

Looks to me like you creating a great collection of the greatest hits before everything goes hybrid or electric and the manual trans disappears.
WRX sti , Shelby, Camaro ZL1 and now probably the last totally internal combustion Honda R . Smart move! Even your wife’s unmodified BRZ may be a rarity some day. Think you need one more. A C7 because it’s the last front engine manual Vette. The ultimate for me would be a ZR-1 convertible! Completely out of reach price wise . I’m just hoping to one day get my hands on a nice convertible with the Z51 package or maybe even a Grand Sport.

I would buy it if the dealership doesn't mark up so much. Love this design over the last gen. This gen looks very clean. Very nice hatchback sports car, but the problem is the dealership markups.

Apparently only 1000 are coming to the USA for the first year so getting one at MSRP is a pipe dream unless you're an influencer etc.

An awesome car! Good idea to have it PPF'd in the beginning. I believe these are going for well over sticker for most folks but it sounds like you were able to get it for less than that.
PPF is not recommended for white cars especially is hot sunny climates, turns yellow and looks like hell.

Congrats Joe! Championship White is IMO the best color for the Type R! Not sure if you're getting PPF and ceramic coating but I definitely recommend it.

PPF turns yellow on white cars especially if they're in the hot sun.
@@CTF33 modern PPF does not yellow. And even if it did, many ceramic coatings today block UV as well.
@@CTF33 I’ve had PPF on my 2020 Crystal White Pearl WRX Sport-Tech RS for close to 3 years now and nothing (car is parked outside and doesn’t get a garage). I don’t see any discolouration from UV on modern PPF applications tbh.

And yet, alot of people think when shortage is over tbat dealership won't keep mark up. If anything, dealership now will continue doing this knowing there's someone out there that will buy it with a crazy mark up
The markup ain’t that bad in terms of %. I walked into a Rolex retailer and wanted to buy a new Daytona at $15K MSRP, but no retailers within 200 miles radius has stock. At secondary market I can buy a brand new one at $30K, that’s 100% markup. No thanks, it is a toy, not necessities as I already have 2 sitting in the drawer.
Oh SG has one too? How odd. Now that’s four YT reviewers who have the new Type R. There’s no way it’s a coincidence. I bet Honda is giving them out to these reviewers. I’ve noticed none of them have talked about how the buying process went.
I don’t think Honda are giving them out for free, but a much better chance of getting one at MSRP. Normal civilians will pay at least $10K in markup for sure. I am fine with that, this is a free market and whoever is willing/able to pay gets it.

Seeing the original renders before it was unveiled, I was pretty disappointed. Even with the press photos, I wasn't intrigued. Seeing it in person, it's an extremely nice looking hot hatch. I do wish there was an AWD option, as well as them not making this as large as an Accord. This is basically a full-sized sedan.
