This was night two of a “surprise” two night stand Bruce Dickinson performed under the moniker The House Band From Hell. Bruce is touring in support of his new release The Mandrake Project.

In 1998 this was a song hard to sing live for Dickinson who was in his prime then. Today with 64 years it is maybe to much for him. But what the hell what a masterpiece this song is.
This is my favorite Bruce's song too. And that album is one of the best he's ever done.

Seems like bruce having hard time with D5 on latter songs of the setlist just like road to hell on yesterday and this song but still enjoyable for me
Well, we need to take several things into consideration, and the first one is the obvious:
1. He's almost 64 years old. These notes were somewhat challenging for him even back then (over 20 years ago mind you). He did sing L this quite decently IMHO
2. He had throat cancer and got radio therapy, which definitely had caused some damage in his mouth and throat, but far less than I would have anticipated
3. He didn't have to sing a proper concert since October 2023. The first concerts are always challenging, and I would bet my ass he did the gigs in LA to get the band, himself and his voice warmed up and adjusted
In confident that he'll improve, or at least adjust a little. However, I don't expect him to be able singing the same high notes now as he did with powerslave or somewhere in time. And furthermore... Don't these two tours i found that he sometimes also didn't reach the higher notes. For me his best phases were actually the fist two tours (beast on the road and piece of mind), then his solo career and he did really really well after the iron maiden reunion... Until cancer catches up with him.
There are some notes/tones I'd prefer he'd not try, but I give him proud for trying to get there 😂
I General I am surprised seeing this energy and singing in a 65 year old.... I'm 47 and I couldn't do it (not just the singing 😂)
Dark side and book in a row.... i think they need to check the set list. Bruce sang very well dark side this second night...book of thel is a challenge even 25 years ago.

@@dragonseye00yes i remember on book of souls tour and he omitted D5 on first shows unlike latter versions of particular song book of souls i guess he’ll get used to this song as tour goes by
