the squishing down is actually kind of useful when you have a piece with ugly long or puffy sleeves, but i don't want it MOST OF THE TIME. the solution a toggle button like for ears in helmets...
@@VaderViktor And while we're at it I want a toggle like that for Hair, like it does with some crowns. some hair styles look infinitely better when squished down.
This feels like overcorrecting. I can see clipping as a problem if it's particularly egregious but as someone else said the squish-down stuff should be an option, that way everyone's happy
Incredibly based take, shrinking pieces are awful 90% of the time. Especially the new boots made me (lowkey) infuriated because they shrunk the pants that I wanted to be thicc.
Universal fix should be easy. Each part should have a manual toggle with a slider for squish between no squish and maximum squish, so people can manually inflate and deflate parts that are clipping.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's been vexed by this! It helps sometimes but can ruin so, so much, especially as an aggressive kitbasher, glitch-user, and general "how can I do things I'm not usually intended to" based on the approaches we've had to use from the very beginning. I guess I'm a HeroForge Grognard or something now lol. Anyways, my ideal solution would be a toggle for "allow clipping" versus "auto-fix clipping". Based on what we saw today in the Face Customization and Kitbashing Demo on Twitch, it seems like the creators' versions of things and the stuff they code in could be set up to do this easily, but if that doesn't transpire, hopefully the kitbashing options will allow us to address some of this. What's to come looks like it will be staggeringly robust to the point I'm intimidated, but I'm hoping that means that kitbashers, posing pros like yourself, and higher-tier Forgers (the people I envy and fear all at once) will have more options, not fewer.
Yes, thank you! I opened one of my favorite minis recently and suddenly there was something off about it. Now, in my case it wasn't because of squishing, but same principle applies.
The boots are just an insult. Messing up a perfect pair of cool pants this way...I feel like people are trying to do something good, without realising it messes it up for *everyone* else
This "big fix" has officially ruined (too my knowledge) about 5 of my old Zum Ratkz models meaning even though I have them archived I can't open them or then I just have to change them which ruins it because I don't want to change really old models.
They could also stop adding pointless useless items. I will never ever ever need a stick with fucking marshmallows on it. I do, however, need SCISSORS. Which still don't exist.
Slightly off topic. When you put two models on top of one another like you usually do. Are they printable or print well? I haven’t seen anyone try it. Sorry I’m not in the discord or know if this has already been addressed prior.
They can print, yes! It's a common question, but I know a few people who have successfully printed layered double models with no issues HOWEVER, it costs as much as buying a base with 2 models on it, so it costs extra
It's unlikely that I will use a particularly strict theme as the point of it will be the face customizer itself, BUT as far as hard-themed contests go, I do have a clear idea for the next one I'll do. So the answer is both yes and no :D
@@gettar82 We'll see- I do have a few things in the works so that I still have actual content to drop if FC is really delayed, but ideally it'd drop in the next 1-2 weeks or so
hahahahah- na right now I'm in sort of a big in-between, as before I had like 3 gigantic projects going all at once in the Rework and the DnD videos and shit. Right now I'm juggling a few different things but I'm also wary of over-committing to a big new thing when FC could arrive at any moment, but that also gives me time to flesh out things that I couldn't otherwise do like streamline my recording/editing process, fix my colour library and expand my music folders + fix the Discord etc etc
They do listen to you, right? Like they've talked with you in the past regarding issues like this. Do you think they'll actually listen to this video and fix the squishing issue? I see no reason why not.
I mean there's always a chance. They've responded to some of my rants in the past - but this time around this isn't really an urgent or breaking issue. While this clipping stuff is definitely tedious, I don't know if it's something they'd go out of their way to change/fix
Bro, this is so annoying. I haven’t been keeping up with hero forge stuff lately, but yeah, this just sucks. The arms look so ugly and misshapen when you put on the gloves.
To be fair, perhaps this works out better for the general audience of heroforge that just puts together a simple mini and buys it. Also, to me it seems like the root issue here is the community of the HF server. I'll leave it at that, but that server's community is just horrible.

Let's bug report the squish! xD

in my opinion have the squish as a toggle
All they need to do is add sizing to everything then it's up to the creator if what they make clips or not.
