I made that for my husband's lunch once. He didn't realize I wrapped them individually in saran wrap until he took his first bite 😂 I only make them for home now. 😅
I’m making spring rolls for the first time today and I’ve been watching your videos to prepare myself. Thanks for sharing your recipes, methods, and tips! ❤
The sauce would taste much better when you heat it on hot pan. In Vietnam we mix coconut milk, peanut butter, hoisin sauce, a little bit water, onion and little bit potato starch, stir and heat for 1 mins until it all well mixed!!!
@@recuerdos2457 it’s up to you! That peanut sauce has soooo many versions here in Vietnam. My family like to add coconut milk ( remember to boild the sauce when u add it), some people like to add cream or pâté too! 😘🫶🏻
I basically live on spring walls lately. I am on a diet ( just eating healthy nothing special) and taking Mounjaro. So I basically have no appetite. But spring rolls are my jam. I eat a version everyday. The easy go to cucumber, Asian salad mix, and shrimp. I am a happy girl. Making your version today. Oh and the ginger dressing that comes with the salad mix makes a great sauce and yes add the crunchy wonton topping to your roll that also comes in the mix. It is fantastic. Bean sprouts are so yummy. We sub with them as well.
Thanks so much for the tip I plan to try and make some spring rolls for my family I'm going to be doing pork and shrimp and learning I can swap out the noodles for bean sprouts will be very good for my mom who loves them❤😊
Omy goodness!thank you thank you ive been eaten vietnamese fodds at restaurants in u.s.for 38years,but i always wanted to to making it but always confused, thank you now i get the clearest messages from your methods, be blessed you madam.😊
You can add a bit of rice vermicelli noodle in your rolls. In Vietnam we often put it in springrolls. kids would easily eat it too in case they arent fond of veggie
As a Vietnamese person, I've never used milk either. I use pork broth or chicken broth. Also, I've never known anyone who swapped out the vermicelli for bean sprouts. We've always used both vermicelli and bean sprouts together!
As someone who grew up eating and making spring rolls, people soaking them until they’re soft is something I never even thought about but makes sense for people to think that’s what they’re suppose to do.
I worked in a restaurant and we rolled it everyday. The best way is to use super hot water. In and out. And the hot water will evaporate and it worked the best
Is noone gonna talk about how the rice paper perfectly aligned with the circle on the chopping board
I think that’s what it’s for specifically that’s where your supposed to put it
Isn’t it cute ❤
Almost as if it was designed that way...🤔🤔
@@MrChrisl182 😂😂
it’s so good
Damns! I soak em for 10-13 secs. First time making spring roll. Lesson learn. Thanks for the tutorial
I love using coconut milk for the sauce instead of reg milk 😊 🥥
What a great idea!! especially since I do not drink mild and love the flavor of coconut milk.
bro it’s a crime in viet nam
I'm so glad I found you! This video is so helpful, I got all the answers I need. Thank you!!

If you want the rice paper not too soft, then you should choose 3 bamboo rice paper (3 cay tre). Really famous brand among Vietnamese people
Do you really put milk in making the sauce?!

I like the bean sprouts trick 👍I'll have to try it
You can add a bit of rice vermicelli noodle in your rolls. In Vietnam we often put it in springrolls. kids would easily eat it too in case they arent fond of veggie
OMG! MILK! I always used water and wondered if I could make it creamier 🙃 I’m making this ASAP
use coconut milk instead. the sauce is thicker and also more savory.
Or if you want it thinner, i personally use coco rico, which is a coconut soda
Oh milk and coconut milk are good substitutes. I’ve always used the pork water (after boiling) like a broth lol 🫣😅
@@MrDarthvis That's how you're supposed to make it, not this milk nonsense
My mistake is putting all the ingredients towards the bottom and not cutting the shrimp in half so the rice paper rips. You just made me realize it.
😋 I love your videos Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
looks good 👍🏾
I love spring rolled ❤❤❤
Great video!

Pro tip use the crunchy peanut butter and add chili oil flakes and vinegar for extra flavor. Thank me later 🎉😊
I prefer smooth peanut butter
Must be Jiff choosy moms chose Jiff
It’s latter. Thanks
Yes but omit the milk if you add vinegar or citrus
the way she said to use vegetable instead of noodles and the way she wrapped it broke my heart
Thankyou, I was sitting here like you're not even properly making one 🤦
LOL SAME
What is the right way -have never done it yet! (For how long are the rice wraps ok? I have a couple unopened pkgs for more than a year!) thanks!
You use veggies instead of noodles if you want it LOW CARBS..... and you can eat more of this.

No, this is why wraps are so chewy and delicious!
Yeah I realized that I keep it in the water for too long lol
@@missvixen45 not the ones I made 🤦♀️🤣

En France 🇫🇷 nous appelons ça des rouleaux de printemps
We don't cook it with milk. We used water or chicken broth

Nice sub for the vermicelli, I like to either leave them out completely or add finely shredded cabbage or spiralized jicama.
Thanks, sometimes she mumbles.
