    I bought two of these showers before we started renovations on our house. It has been installed for less than a year and both have random dripping problems from all the heads. Tried to phone support and held on forever before giving up for the day.

    I have just installed this shower. My installation had the hot and cold supply feeds from the top as this video presentation. The issue I had was that the gap between the pipes is to narrow to accommodate the riser bracket. There is no way to change the orientation of this from horizontal to vertical. Had to reroute the pipework to avoid mounting screws damaging pipes.

    The red pipe guide looks proud of the stud work. How can you fix your plaster or tile board to the stud work when it's proud? Isn't it better to set the nogging back so the front of the pipe guide is flush with the front of the stud work?

    • @mirashowers
      @mirashowers  Год назад

      Hi Simon, everything shown sits on top of the tiles, with the shroud and dials going over the top. So you wouldn’t put the tiles over the red part as this sits on top of the finished wall surface.

      I have the same exact issue. I have the Opero and have to push the button multiple times while pushing the plate against the wall to get it to turn off. Not what I should be getting for a £449 shower that's only been installed for 4 months.

      Bit late to reply. Is it coming from the shower valve or the pipe work in the wall? Could be the pipes in the wall arnt secured and rattle with a sudden stop?

    How to turn off the water? The manual saying to turn the handle anti clockwise to turn off, but is it suppose to be temperature control? I thought it should turn off by pressing the button again?

    • @mirashowers
      @mirashowers  2 года назад

      Hello, Unfortunately, there is an error in the current guide for the Mira Opero - to turn it off you DO NOT turn the dial anti-clockwise, you press the button for the showerhead you wish to turn off. We are correcting the guide and it will be uploaded to our website. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. If you would like any further advice please contact our customer service team.

      @@mirashowers the button is such a design failure, sometimes it works sometimes not, I have checked not to over tighten the screw for the backplate and the lever works fine, i believe there’s a cog mechanism causes the issue as it only activated the trigger 1-2 times out of 20 maybe… I just tried 5 min to turn of the shower …. I think Mira should feedback this to the design team and maybe have a product recall, this is not the quality I expect from Mira, especially considering the price point it should be using premium material, not the cheap plastic backplate and cog mechanism that’s easy to wear, when it works it’s brilliant. when it’s not it’s so frustrating as cannot turn of the water, such wasting of time and money

    • @scenicavalon

      @@KevinWuPlus Had the shower installed about 5 weeks ago. Absolutely brilliant................. for 4 weeks, then the fault with the left side button, as ably described by KK above, manifested itself about a week ago. Seems to be a temperature-related problem, as turning the thermostat to cold for about 3 mins re-activates the on/off capability of the smaller shower head again. I note that the same button on the left side has the same characteristics with the Beacon Duo shower. My plumber says he tightened the screws etc, as per instructions, but as Mira want a pre-payment of £80 before coming out to see if it's an installer problem, I'll let the installer have a look first.

    • @KevinWuPlus
      @KevinWuPlus Год назад

      @@scenicavalon I thought it’s temperature related issue but it seem not. I have the engineer coming and turns out the lever was too tight in the original design so when you press the button the lever still not moving hence not turn off. he supplied an improved replacement lever which was much loose, then it was fixed. however it now has the same problem again. I found a temporary trick to turn off though, when you press the button if it doesn’t turn off, try press one corner of the panel one by one, it will turn off, I think it’s to do with the cog mechanism behind the button which also controls the lever and on/off valve, the face panel didn’t fit the back panel so well hence cause the issue. I will call Mira again see what they say. I have newly fitted 2 of these and both have the same problem…. I would never buy a newly release product that has not been tested properly again

  • @arrkaye

    DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Major design flaw with flimsy button design AND poor fitting between the fascia and backplate mean the stuck button issue will happen eventually. It's not a fitter error, it's cost cutting by the new owners of Mira. Trash product. You have been warned.

      @@mirashowers thank you. I'll do that. I must admit, I bought a Mira shower on name alone as it's always been a brand I felt I could trust, and of course the lovely push-buttom design of this shower and light strip. But I feel this model has let the brand down a bit as the mechanism just doesn't meet that high bar set for durability and reliability. I think the problem is exacerbated by the pipe centres being at 50mm, which limits options for replacement, resulting in some degree of model/vendor lock-in. Some additional 50mm model options from Mira would be very welcome!
