NOTHING seems to work, i think i have to give up the fire tv now, if you find an actual solution that would be helpfu
I have the EXACT same issue, sees the router but fails to secure a connection, even using an Ethernet cable and it is still failing. They sent me a replacement tv, but I'm curious if it can be resolved.
Great video but didn't help me. I've tried a factory reset but it won't connect to the internet. It will find my wifi but times out. I have two fire sticks that are doing the same thing (not working) and one that's working fine.

Got mine working eventually after a factory reset i was able to set it back up with my phones wifi hotspot. Still slow if you load a few apps.
Mine won’t show the home page just keeps cycling fire tv logo.
These are mostly if it stops working we are having the issue that it's never worked so we can't do alot of the things you had said
