A couple of tips for making this ice cream. The cocoa powder you use is important I used a darker cocoa powder and it didn't come out as smooth as it looks in the video. Also make sure the cashews are fully blended I had bits of cashews in my ice cream which made the ice cream course. Last tip! Make sure you use a plastic container it may be common knowledge but I didn't know and when it was time to cut the ice cream I couldn't get it out of the container! Nguyen Thuc Quyen No they aren't the same! Cacao powder is raw, cold pressed and unprocessed. cocoa powder is the opposite, it's processed so it has less nutritional value

i can make this raw vegan. i wanna substitute the milk with almond milk and the maple syrup with agave but im not a fan of cashews. ah guess i'll just have to get over it. i'm gonna give this a try soon. it looks delicious and very authentic!

Zung Nguyen Why I was doing that is to make the ice cream thicker and more stretchy. If you don't use food processor and just freeze it after blending, it's gonna be firm. Adjusting the texture is one of the most important thing when making ice cream:)
