Every dryer vented up like the one shown will have a lint build up problem and need to be cleaned out several times a year, this is from 20+ years of servicing appliances. Stay safe keep your dryer vent system in good working order.
Great stuff. We just moved in to our house to find that the inspector MISSED this huge issue. Our electric dryer doesn't have proper ventilation at all so our garage just get's insanely humid every time we do laundry. Going to have to do a seriously long run.
As a sheet metal worker. My best piece of advice is learn how to roll your elbows. Don’t roll them to 90 degrees. It causes a lint trap and will clog up the pipe. Also, you’re going to need aviation snips lol and some 4” snaplock pipe
Everything about this looks correct, however, in my state it is against code to have the vent going up and out. In this scenario we would have the dryer be moved out of the basement and above ground level, having the vent go through the floor and then out the rim joist.
Stupid. Never run it upwards more than 24" Always put a clean out at the corners so lint dosent build up and cause a fire They want your dryer to burn out its vent motor....
Why am I watching this at midnight I don't even have a dryer I go to the laundromat

Where do they find these generic houses for these videos?
Why aren’t dryer vents 3 1/2” so they will fit in a 2x4 studded wall?
Nice easy instructions thanks

Its best to take the elbow joints as well. It helps hold them together better
Excellent job! I'm going to try it. Thank you.
I’m laying on my couch & I’m watching a video on how to install a dryer vent. Wtf
Great video, thanks
You didn't state how to cut the metal tubing.
