This scene instantly set the mood the first time I watched Sin City. He only appears twice but Josh Hartnett stole the show in my opinion. He's the perfect choice for a debonair hitman.

In the comics, the character he’s playing had more of a muscular frame and an intimidating serious look. He did well but there were certainly others that would have done a better job like Josh Brolin.

I watched this YEARS ago and actually forgot about this part. Just saw it again and was completely confused until someone explained it to me and now their concersation makes so much sense and her eyes when she realizes was amazing acting it's bittersweet and emotional especially when he says "ill cash her check in the morning"

If you were confused as I was *spoilers*
The woman supposedly had an affair with a mafia person and tried to break it off. Mafia said promised her that he would kill her in the worst way when she LEAST expected it (you'll see).... so she hires the "salesman" the hit man to kill herself just so happens it happens opposite of the way mafia said. Now rewatch the scene with thst information is mind and pay attention to their dialog 😉

Sin City. Frank Miller. Robert Rodriguez. The Whole entire cast but this character the way Josh Hartnett plays it .. was so smooth and deadly at the same time it's scary. You have to watch the entire film to even understand what I mean. But brilliant casting!!! 👍😌
