Check his filmography. He’s given a lot of great performances in indie films, even when the films are not as good as he is. Some great performances in great films - August and Bunraku (2010). After 2016 when PD ended he did some really good ones: Oh, Lucy (2017), Inherit the Viper (2019) and Ida Red (2021). Of course 2023 was gangbusters.
