My thoughts exactly. It’s great to watch content made by someone who is 100% normal unlike many other RUclipsrs who I occasionally watched but the more I did, the more irked I became. They all claim to be such experts because they read a spec sheet and talk the talk but they’re full of bullsh*t whereas Pete is so down to earth. There’s no idiotic driving on this channel either which I appreciate.

Hi Pete, if I can add my few points: - I think you (and Mrs PP) made the right decision, you both will love it no doubt. - I am so chuffed you raise the normal person - normal life perspective; roof rails are a must on a car like this! - Whatever name the car will have, you will utter it with a smile on your face! I nearly ordered the same colour combo, but bottled it in the end ditching the red bits for black for a more understated look; I hope I won’t regret it.

Very very nice. I'm on my 4th mini. First one back in 2004 a cooper then a cooper S then Coupe S which we really enjoyed and lastly a 5 door cooper S. We have just ordered a very similar speck but in red with white roof. We were going to have a change but to be honest, we just love the quality and style. Enjoy as I'm sure we will. I know some will be saying... Should have gone for a A35amg or the M135 etc. Sod them doesn't pay for us all to be the same.

I’ve had my Clubman SD for a couple of years now and have loved every mile in it so seeing all this love for the new JCW is not surprising however I am due to change it this year and there is a very real risk that I will do something I have never done before and bought the same car twice in a row by going for a Clubman JCW PS That key ring is awesome. Love it.. Such a practical car. We sold out 7 seater and a family of 4 have managed just fine with our Clubman. Takes plenty in the boot, and the interior is always fun to be in. The only gripe I have is the seats are a bit shallow and rear seats a bit hard (but kids in their childseats don't care). Watch the boot opening when the key is accidentally pressed in your pocket (and of course hitting whatever is behind the car). Love the new integrated brake lights in the union jack design of this LCI.
Pete, right decision I believe and I sort of guessed last week, you were enjoying the long termer too much. Our jcw roadster is in white silver and a great colour even away from the showroom lights. My clubman S has the full jcw pack and what a great car for everyday use. Still waiting for a jcw clubman test drive though ( 4 months now, local dealer staff have 2 but new policy is there not available as demonstrators, although I have 1st option to purchase when available 😊)

You now have something that you know suits your lifestyle without the worry of making compromises living with a GP3. I have been where you were mentally a few weeks ago and it is not a pleasant place to be. I decided to proceed with purchasing my dream new car a few years back and it turned into a very frustrating and expensive experience never to be repeated !!! Enjoy the Mini. ive bought two new cars...albeit for work...first was a vw golf from towecester VW and they made us feel SOO special..couldn't fault the experience, my first ever new car.....second was very different, my Rav4 hybrid from farmer and carlilse in Leicester, although i got my car..and it was one of the first released i cannot fault their efficiency but the experience was dull as hell..it was just around the back....and it was £33k !.....ahhh well...........glad you are excited Pete..enjoy..btw i had a 92 camaro heritage in that exact colours with red stripes !

Thank god you didn’t buy the electric one! I test drove the identical clubman about 4 weeks ago & I’m hooked as well! Practical, all wheel drive and looks great....nothing not to like. The one I test drove was the first one in Australia and exactly the same colour combo....I don’t blame you one bit, they’re an absolute hoot!

I did not expect that you chose this color. I watched all your previous videos about clubman JCW and decided to choose the green one and black wheels just the same as in your previous videos. I have been hovering between white and green, but in China, the dealer told me that I cannot choose 19 inches. The two-tone wheels are only available on the countryman. Now I am waiting for the arrival of my clubman, it seems that it will take 2 to 3 months
Beautiful car! I managed to acquire my JCW Clubman (enigmatic black) with roof rails late November. Getting a JCW in the USA spec'd the way I wanted was almost impossible without a special order (which would have meant three and a half months of suffering until delivery). My dealer managed to negotiate one right off the boat that was going to another dealer. This is my first Mini and definitely not my last......
Hello You made the right choice. I have had my Clubman's 2015 for just over 3 years now & get my "new" Clubman jcw in a few weeks. the car is painted in enigmatic black metallic with red roof & mirrors. The car has glass hatch & rail as well as the large display with Harman Kardon & black line for the head/taillights. For that, yes have ordered all decals in black & also all 6 handles in black. Hi Pete, fantastic new car you have got there and now just go out and drive it. My Dad did the same in relation about buying a slightly used car. I wonder if you ever heard of the situation before and I will explain. My Dad has had his everyday car was a 2012 Audi A1 3 door manual 2.0 TDI Black Edition from new for over 7 years. Last year he decided to change the car and discovered a 3 month old 2019 VW Golf GTI TCR 3 door auto with 61 miles on the clock and £4000 extras on the car. The first owner bought the car drove it from the dealership to his garage where it sat for 3 months and then drove the car straight back to the dealership and sold the car. The first owner was a car collector with I think the salesman said 6 cars. My Dad test drove the car which still had a brand new smell to the car and decided to buy the car. The Salesman said that someone else had put a deposit on the car but their finance was declined. The car was £31995 down from just under £40000 and because my Dad has done well at work bought the car outright with cash so no finance needed but the sales people still try to push finance. The dealership I think filled the tank, paid his £145 VED for the car and through in a cargo net. I wonder if you have ever heard of such a situation were the first owner didn’t really drive the car then sold it. The car is driving great although the rear pads wore out after 4000 miles done so far but my Dad likes to work on cars so can change the pads himself. My Dad’s first car after passing his driving test in 1970s was a blue Austin Mini which he loved but I think the floor rusted through and it caught on fire! Although Mini has come on a lot since then and I would like to again say enjoy your car.
Fantastic news - enjoy the new motor! No, it wasn’t a surprise what car you’d chosen! Good choice and decision to go for the practical clubman. We’re loving our JCW Clubman (had it since January) thanks to your excellent review and recommendation - it had to be good as it replaced our much loved 3 year old M240i cabrio! Tough job! Only downside of the new car is the rear gets really filthy very quickly (being flat), and the four pot not as smooth as (and a little more hesitant than) the 6 pot on the M240i. You can see our second car in my Avatar (Vantage), so a good combo with the Mini!
You made absolutely the right decision. I currently have a GP3, brilliant fun, but for exactly the same reasons as you, Dick Lovett in Hungerford (great people) have let me change it for a Clubman JCW, identical to yours! So no more apologising, picking up the clubman next week, can’t wait!
Car you really wanted Pete, and nicely run in. All spec you'll need. And as a new one on a PCP bit pricey in my eyes, you're probably paying more sensible amount too. And motorway miles best thing for it. And decent economy too. I admit while you get lent some nice stuff you won't be all year round just yet. You do need your own transport still. Though if that changes don't be afraid to make another decision on both cars.

Great colour choice! Ours is the same colour combination and with the same wheels. Totally agree with you about the seats, they better suit the car and are much more supportive. Good choice with the wider screen and HK speakers too. Enjoy!

Hurrah ! Absolute best choice ever ! This is my first comment on your channel. I wish you (and Mrs) much joy with this awesome Mini. I guessed right, although for a brief moment I thought there would be a swap between the Audi and the BMW but ... nah, would not have fitted with your image as a Mini fan. I also thought that you had fallen for the DT1 but it would not have made sense given what's in your garage currently.

I think you have made the correct decision regarding the GP3. You now have something that you know suits your lifestyle without the worry of making compromises living with a GP3. I have been where you were mentally a few weeks ago and it is not a pleasant place to be. I decided to proceed with purchasing my dream new car a few years back and it turned into a very frustrating and expensive experience never to be repeated !!!

I have a cooper clubman in dark blue. Very happy with the car and plenty zippy enough for old fogey like me. You got a good buy there.
I knew it. The only thing is I would never have guessed that colour. I think you’ve done good. You already knew what the car was like to live with and you knew mrs ped liked it just as much. A win win situation all round.

ive bought two new cars...albeit for work...first was a vw golf from towecester VW and they made us feel SOO special..couldn't fault the experience, my first ever new car.....second was very different, my Rav4 hybrid from farmer and carlilse in Leicester, although i got my car..and it was one of the first released i cannot fault their efficiency but the experience was dull as hell..it was just around the back....and it was £33k !.....ahhh well...........glad you are excited Pete..enjoy..btw i had a 92 camaro heritage in that exact colours with red stripes !

Thank god you didn’t buy the electric one! I test drove the identical clubman about 4 weeks ago & I’m hooked as well! Practical, all wheel drive and looks great....nothing not to like. The one I test drove was the first one in Australia and exactly the same colour combo....I don’t blame you one bit, they’re an absolute hoot!

I did not expect that you chose this color. I watched all your previous videos about clubman JCW and decided to choose the green one and black wheels just the same as in your previous videos. I have been hovering between white and green, but in China, the dealer told me that I cannot choose 19 inches. The two-tone wheels are only available on the countryman. Now I am waiting for the arrival of my clubman, it seems that it will take 2 to 3 months
Beautiful car! I managed to acquire my JCW Clubman (enigmatic black) with roof rails late November. Getting a JCW in the USA spec'd the way I wanted was almost impossible without a special order (which would have meant three and a half months of suffering until delivery). My dealer managed to negotiate one right off the boat that was going to another dealer. This is my first Mini and definitely not my last......
Lovely looking car with a good spec. Normal life always comes first but for a compromise it’s a blooming good one !
Hello You made the right choice. I have had my Clubman's 2015 for just over 3 years now & get my "new" Clubman jcw in a few weeks. the car is painted in enigmatic black metallic with red roof & mirrors. The car has glass hatch & rail as well as the large display with Harman Kardon & black line for the head/taillights. For that, yes have ordered all decals in black & also all 6 handles in black. Longing ...
Enigmatic Black (or as I call it Dark Blue !) is my fav colour. With red roof and mirrors it is going to look EPIC !!👍
@@PetrolPed I follow your youtube channel as of today. Have seen most that apply to "new MINI". I have had 4 new mini with the one I have now of which 3 have been jcw & one a countryman SD, the ordered one will be my fifth mini. I love these cars.

Hi Pete, fantastic new car you have got there and now just go out and drive it. My Dad did the same in relation about buying a slightly used car. I wonder if you ever heard of the situation before and I will explain.
My Dad has had his everyday car was a 2012 Audi A1 3 door manual 2.0 TDI Black Edition from new for over 7 years. Last year he decided to change the car and discovered a 3 month old 2019 VW Golf GTI TCR 3 door auto with 61 miles on the clock and £4000 extras on the car. The first owner bought the car drove it from the dealership to his garage where it sat for 3 months and then drove the car straight back to the dealership and sold the car. The first owner was a car collector with I think the salesman said 6 cars. My Dad test drove the car which still had a brand new smell to the car and decided to buy the car. The Salesman said that someone else had put a deposit on the car but their finance was declined. The car was £31995 down from just under £40000 and because my Dad has done well at work bought the car outright with cash so no finance needed but the sales people still try to push finance. The dealership I think filled the tank, paid his £145 VED for the car and through in a cargo net. I wonder if you have ever heard of such a situation were the first owner didn’t really drive the car then sold it. The car is driving great although the rear pads wore out after 4000 miles done so far but my Dad likes to work on cars so can change the pads himself.
My Dad’s first car after passing his driving test in 1970s was a blue Austin Mini which he loved but I think the floor rusted through and it caught on fire! Although Mini has come on a lot since then and I would like to again say enjoy your car.
I knew it would be a JCW Clubman. :) Same car as I have, great decision. Basically as quick as the GP, but much more practical. Love it. Have fun!
Fantastic news - enjoy the new motor! No, it wasn’t a surprise what car you’d chosen! Good choice and decision to go for the practical clubman. We’re loving our JCW Clubman (had it since January) thanks to your excellent review and recommendation - it had to be good as it replaced our much loved 3 year old M240i cabrio! Tough job! Only downside of the new car is the rear gets really filthy very quickly (being flat), and the four pot not as smooth as (and a little more hesitant than) the 6 pot on the M240i. You can see our second car in my Avatar (Vantage), so a good combo with the Mini!
You made absolutely the right decision. I currently have a GP3, brilliant fun, but for exactly the same reasons as you, Dick Lovett in Hungerford (great people) have let me change it for a Clubman JCW, identical to yours! So no more apologising, picking up the clubman next week, can’t wait!

I love adaptive cruise control. I’m sure you won’t miss it as you never had it. And if the car is perfect apart from that fair enough.

Car you really wanted Pete, and nicely run in. All spec you'll need. And as a new one on a PCP bit pricey in my eyes, you're probably paying more sensible amount too. And motorway miles best thing for it. And decent economy too. I admit while you get lent some nice stuff you won't be all year round just yet. You do need your own transport still. Though if that changes don't be afraid to make another decision on both cars.

Great colour choice! Ours is the same colour combination and with the same wheels. Totally agree with you about the seats, they better suit the car and are much more supportive. Good choice with the wider screen and HK speakers too. Enjoy!
