What's the point of doing it. You will need the old key to insert in the ignition to start your car. The new key will not go inside and will not start the car. Then you have go to a locksmith and spend £50 to £100 to cut the key
i sell them for 13.99 plus 1.50 postage nothing about the electronics changes so you dont have to reprogram. just need to get the new blade cut. yeah vaux probably dont know about theas s the internals are desined especialy for the mk4 keys rather than the normal mk5 key

the flip key functions perfectly and replaces the old one
+josh s So the metal key will not need cutting and it will go inside the ignition without currying. is that what you are saying.
No. You take the key blank to a local locksmiths who will cut it for you for £5-10
