  • Designing a natural hairline has always been one of the most important elements of a hair transplant. Most patients today expect an undetectable hairline that has enough density after one session.
What's more, Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) cherry picking has given us finer hair with which to create a most natural hairline. The usage of microscope 10-20X allow proper selection of grafts. In this video, we review the rules for hairline design for a hair transplant and discuss how the bone structure dictates hairline design.

Very comprehensively explained. There's an awful lot that goes into making a hairline, that the average person seeking a transplant doesn't appreciate. Thanks for such an educational video.

Wouldn't be ideal to just have your hairline done on photos based on what your hairline was like when you were younger when you had your perfect hairline?

Really need to be careful with loss..so an unattached hair line is not a good idea..A hair transplant is about supply and demand and a low hair line when young would then be for life..okay if really minimal loss but most would not age well with that once future loss and donor limitations are a factor.. Good question though.

Essentially we would need to see your photos and case and for some it really is best to wait as hair loss is progressive and the earlier you tackle it then less conservative the approach is and you can then very soon after regret it. We usually treat patients over 25 and who are very well educated and on medication also . To be a NW2 at 18 does not show us where you will be in 10 years which could be very different.
