I've loved Sarah since about '92 or '93 and I think Fumbling is by far her best album from start to finish. Lyrically, it is her strongest set of songs, as well as being more diverse musically than her other albums. Surfacing was good too, but Fumbling was what hooked me. I'm going to see her in 2 weeks! Yahoo!
We need music to come back, return to the times when an artists needed to be actually a talented musician to sell, because we as listeners were more drawn to the rythm, melody and harmony of great musicians, like the inmensily talented Sarah Mclachlan
There are few singers today that reach the depth of understanding as Sarah, McLaughlin. From the first times I heard her live I knew that her sound would play an important role in my future some day, and that day has come. If the universe and powers that be allow me to produce my film, I would certainly ask her for the right to incorporate her artist talent into the soundtrack of my future film production.
In Lilith Fair performances in 2010 and some shows in 2014 she was still performing “Ice Cream” if that’s anything. I know this comment was from 5 years ago
I wish she’d do her older stuff some with her newer stuff as well. It’s almost like she’s to the point where she’s just ignoring her first two albums. Then she only does Possession, Fear (sometimes), and Ice Cream from FTE lol Less Surfacing and Afterglow and more songs from the first two albums would be cool. I know when I saw her live, almost all of it was Surfacing, then Afterglow, then a mix of Shine On and Laws of Illusion. Ice Cream, Fear, Possession, are the only ones from FTE and before that I can recall her doing lol
razrv3lc Do you think it could be because those songs aren’t as relevant to her anymore? Or maybe she wants to pick more recent songs that people nowadays are familiar with? I really don’t know, but I feel like it’s a common thing with musical artists, when they don’t go back to their oldest pieces
I think chinanu is right, but I think musicians should remember that even if they have moved on from what a song meant for them, it still may mean a lot to a lot of their audience.

100% real singing. Live. No autototune. So phenomenal.

A world class performer, Sarah is #1 on POP'S TOP 10.
awesome
😍😍😍😍
love saras music
I know. Sarah hardly does her early stuff any longer. I would love to see Ben's Song performed or something else from Touch and Surfacing.
Matthew Wilson yes Bens song its her best song.... Beside Adia and angel

@@chinanuokoli12I think vasocreta meant songs from touch or solace. Ice cream is from fumbling towards ecstasy.

@@chinanuokoli12 I think it's cuz she sold out. Recumbent.
