Oh my gosh, me too! This place is sooo much better for him. And speaking of wings, I forgot to mention the animals but it's so much better for Vincent, too. I got her a new house (still have to put it together) because the wheels on her current one broke off in the move from Texas. Once I get the new one together I'll be able to wheel her out on the balcony to enjoy the weather and views. But her new spot indoors also has a bank of windows.

I'm looking forward to all the work things I can finally do now that we're here. Thank you. :) Yes, I still have a lingering cough. Not sure it was Covid. I never tested for it. Paul tested negative twice but that doesn't mean that's not what it was. I went back to the doctor last week and am on antibiotics now. So far, no improvement.

Thank you. :) I forgot to mention the pets but I did talk about them in the original video I filmed that ended up being all blurry. They're adjusting well. Baron (my little old man) was confused about where doors opened for a while because he assumed it was like the last apartment. He scratched at my giant mirror once (which sits on the floor and leans on the wall behind my door...in the location where my old office door used to be) thinking it was the door. Or he'd wait at the hinge side of the door instead of the open side. He's since figured it all out. Roxie is wary of new things so she's spent a lot of time in the safety of the big bed while we get things in order. Vincent's life has improved about as much as Paul's. She's in front of a bank of windows now with an amazing view (I forgot to mention the view, too!).

It is sooo nice to be in a larger space again. You might remember the empty apartment tour I did of our last place in Texas. The new apartment is the same size as that one, the space is just shifted a little...offices are larger (very important), living space slightly smaller but still more than we know what to do with at this point. We're loving it.
Congratulations!!!! I’m so excited for you both. I work for two doctors. Maybe you could do pages for your planner for doctors appointments or bills that need to be paid and bills that were paid. That is something that I’m looking for, but I’ve never found in any other planner.
Medical appointment pages is a great idea. I'll have to do some research on that. I wonder how many people would use a paper budget. I feel like most people do that online now but maybe I'm wrong.

Congratulations on your move! But what an ordeal for you!!! In case dehydration could ever become an issue again, along with water you need to replace electrolytes. A lot of people drink Gatorade, but pedialite works equally well. Yes, the pedialite kids take. Especially if you don’t like the taste of Gatorade. Can’t wait to see your new work space. Definitely getting things done. I kind of had no choice given the timing of the injuries the day before the move but I think that's a good thing. Using my ankle so much probably helped it.
As a former teacher, the only thing is that a teacher's year doesn't align with the calendar year. Teachers usually have more of an August-July calendar to plan rather than a January-December one. But I do hope people will think of the planners I release as Christmas gifts, yes. :)
Well, gosh, you are a very patient couple! The apartment complex must be really desirable! I think I would have been one of the people moving out! Best wishes to you and your hubby and pet family on your new apartment 🎉
I don't know about other people but it's definitely desirable for us. When the storm happened in January the management gave all residents (regardless of whether your apartment was damaged) the chance to break your lease without penalty and move elsewhere. We took the opportunity to look at a few other places but none of them checked all our boxes like this place does. Apartment housing is very different here compared to Texas. There are far fewer options, the buildings are older, and you usually get less for your money. Where we are now is the only place that compares to what we had before and the location is amazing. In the new unit we also have an incredible view, which I forgot to mention!
Congrats! I've been trying to move for what seems like forever! Now I have just accepted it is what it is and staying put until more stars aligned. I'm so envious you got so much space! :)

Life is like that sometimes; I sympathize with your fall because I fell at the end of a trip for a family reunion. It was the last day and we were literally getting into the cars to make the trip back home and I didn’t realize that I was stepping off of a curb, both insteps hit the edge of the curb and down I went. I landed on my knees and I needed help to get back up. Thankfully I didn’t break any bones (which at 63 could’ve been devastating) but I was bruised and achy for a couple days. I am so pleased that you’re on the mend. I’m looking forward to seeing your upcoming office tour and your future videos. Congrats again!

Goodness you’ve been through the wars. I hope you feel better soon. Just a tip. If you’re dehydrated don’t just drink water, drink electrolytes. Eg Hydrolyte or similar. I learnt the hard way after trying to rehydrate with water in the heat. My sodium went so low I was in hospital for 6 days as they have to bring it up slowly.
Congratulations on FINALLY getting the apartment you wanted. I’m glad you survived the move! Do you know why movers are so expensive? Because they’re WORTH IT! I understand the desire to save money and have always moved everything myself that I could manage, but the older I get (turning 60 tomorrow) the happier I am to delegate manual labor.
100% Growing up, any time we moved we did it ourselves because we couldn't afford to pay people. Plus the mentality was why spend money on something you can do yourself. Well, I've since learned that some things - like movers - are definitely worth spending money on. I do wish I'd been able to move more boxes myself before they arrived only because it would have saved the guys some trouble (they're not used to 100 degree heat) but it was what it was.

Congratulations!!!! I’m so excited for you both. I work for two doctors. Maybe you could do pages for your planner for doctors appointments or bills that need to be paid and bills that were paid. That is something that I’m looking for, but I’ve never found in any other planner.
Medical appointment pages is a great idea. I'll have to do some research on that. I wonder how many people would use a paper budget. I feel like most people do that online now but maybe I'm wrong.

Congratulations on your move! But what an ordeal for you!!! In case dehydration could ever become an issue again, along with water you need to replace electrolytes. A lot of people drink Gatorade, but pedialite works equally well. Yes, the pedialite kids take. Especially if you don’t like the taste of Gatorade. Can’t wait to see your new work space. Definitely getting things done. I kind of had no choice given the timing of the injuries the day before the move but I think that's a good thing. Using my ankle so much probably helped it.
Your new planner would probably make a great Christmas gift for teachers
As a former teacher, the only thing is that a teacher's year doesn't align with the calendar year. Teachers usually have more of an August-July calendar to plan rather than a January-December one. But I do hope people will think of the planners I release as Christmas gifts, yes. :)

I don't know about other people but it's definitely desirable for us. When the storm happened in January the management gave all residents (regardless of whether your apartment was damaged) the chance to break your lease without penalty and move elsewhere. We took the opportunity to look at a few other places but none of them checked all our boxes like this place does. Apartment housing is very different here compared to Texas. There are far fewer options, the buildings are older, and you usually get less for your money. Where we are now is the only place that compares to what we had before and the location is amazing. In the new unit we also have an incredible view, which I forgot to mention!

Congratulations on the move to your new apartment, Autumn! I’m truly happy for you and Paul. I’m really sorry that you got hurt and that you got sick from being dehydrated. Life is like that sometimes; I sympathize with your fall because I fell at the end of a trip for a family reunion. It was the last day and we were literally getting into the cars to make the trip back home and I didn’t realize that I was stepping off of a curb, both insteps hit the edge of the curb and down I went. I landed on my knees and I needed help to get back up. Thankfully I didn’t break any bones (which at 63 could’ve been devastating) but I was bruised and achy for a couple days. I am so pleased that you’re on the mend. I’m looking forward to seeing your upcoming office tour and your future videos. Congrats again!

I had planned to film an empty apartment tour of the previous apartment but ultimately didn't have time with all that happened. Unfortunately, I also won't be vlogging my mom's visit. I posted several vlogs last year when we moved to Oregon but not enough people watch those videos.

Goodness you’ve been through the wars. I hope you feel better soon. Just a tip. If you’re dehydrated don’t just drink water, drink electrolytes. Eg Hydrolyte or similar. I learnt the hard way after trying to rehydrate with water in the heat. My sodium went so low I was in hospital for 6 days as they have to bring it up slowly.
I did load up on Gatorade over those days. Thanks for the tip. Sorry you went through that!!!
Congratulations on FINALLY getting the apartment you wanted. I’m glad you survived the move! Do you know why movers are so expensive? Because they’re WORTH IT! I understand the desire to save money and have always moved everything myself that I could manage, but the older I get (turning 60 tomorrow) the happier I am to delegate manual labor.
100% Growing up, any time we moved we did it ourselves because we couldn't afford to pay people. Plus the mentality was why spend money on something you can do yourself. Well, I've since learned that some things - like movers - are definitely worth spending money on. I do wish I'd been able to move more boxes myself before they arrived only because it would have saved the guys some trouble (they're not used to 100 degree heat) but it was what it was.
