I'm loving the anti-foams. I've been running the single stage on highly modded trx4(however not a lot of traxxas parts left on it) at approx. 8 lbs. Been running single stage since first release and they work great with minimal tuning. I ordered extra tuning rods with my dual stage but after receiving and testing these are nearly pefect for me with without the rods. Liking all the videos and looking to get more into it myself.... haven't put a video up in years.
Looked ata set of those tusk tires at my lhs they didn't feel near as soft as predator compound also looked at a set of slightly used ones at the same time a little better love the tread pattern but not sure about the compound
Who thinks the Phoenix needs a dovetailed narrowed rear bed option. A kit that is all new rear plastic cage that will V that rear bed in. Cut some top weight down and expose the rear tires more so!! My opinion
I've watched several videos of the tusk and have too say like the performance of what I've seen would love see a shoot out of top tires on side hilling and rock crawling
I’m liking the videos on the tusks and they appear to be gripping well but the sidewall seems thin almost like the deep woods and fold really easy. I think the anti-foams was great but maybe the tires are too soft and almost looked like they were stretching on the side hill idk. Maybe try a different tire with them to compare.
Yeah I have them in the Proline Trenchers and they work great in those. I think you’re right, the carcass of the proline may be thicker than jconcepts.
Tusk tires are very soft and the carcass of the tire is thin. Tried them the exact same way as this on my Phoenix with same results. Then tried anti foams dual stage in a set of klr's and trencher tires on the Phoenix with no tuning rods and they are way better. Give that a shot once maybe would like to know your thoughts on that setup
For me the tusk is good but the trencher has better sidewalls and the KLR m has the best sidewalls. I haven’t had any KLR M’s in a while. Need to get a set of them I guess.
Tusk is to new to know the answer to that. Gotta spend some time tuning them. I just noticed personally with the anti foams it's just a little to soft compared to other tires while running anti foams. That's on the Phoenix truck which is a fairly heavy build. On a lighter truck they did seem better but still a little soft for my personal liking. I run the soft anti foams in og KLR's on my light build and they are awesome. Just need more time for tuning on the tusk tires and exocaged will have videos to help us out with that.👍
hey i believe you use the gt5 transmitter, i got a dig for my truck and i want to be able to use it in 3 position, 4wd fwd and rwDIG. i have a 3ch receiver that binds to the gt5. can i get one of my channel 5 or 6 dials to control the 3rd channel on the receiver, or can i only make those work if i have a 6 channel receiver? i hope you can help
How would you compare the soft anti-foam vs the dual stage ones? especially considering dual stage does not come with tuning rods but the soft ones come with tuning rods. Thanks. (My trx4 is 10 lbs)
Well. I feel the dual stage has a more responsive feel when tuned with the rods and the dual stage is more versatile. I haven’t put any tunes on the duals yet but I won a comp with them in SV2 yesterday.
U need to put the foams back on it. The tires in the back squatted every time u tried to climb or side hill the tires rolled. I don't think it has anything to do with the body. Because it never had that problem until u put the anti foams on. Unless u can make them more firm?
@@ExocagedRC sweet let me know or shoot me a message.. I want some 2.2’s I have the rc4wd mudslingers it big ones.. I will have to let u know the size I will send u a message
Just starting to watch....looking at the rig sitting there. It's supposed to look like it's at 10psi , not fulling aired-up at 60psi. Should go to an offroad event that has desert/sand, hills and rocks...ask around...everyone is running 10psi or less. Funny....my uncle and both cousins run Toyota based rock buggies....they run 5-10psi in there 40+ TSL's and they have such thick sidewall there hardly in flattening at the bottom but they sure flex and spread the tires out. Only guys I see that get stuck is guys running full air pressure and the big-wheeled rubberband tire mall guys. I'd just tune the rear.
I used to offroad a lot with 44 and 46” tires. We bagged them down for rocks and sand stuff like anyone would. These worked well but could be a bit stiffer IMO.
@@ExocagedRC Always that happy medium on RC's between tire squish and diff clearance. At least we're finally getting tire inserts that don't "tire-roll" when turning.

The truck requires a 4 ch radio receiver to work everything so get the 6ch receiver and use the buttons that work best for you.
Great video, great rig. Where can I get those wheels?
I put links in the description
Wow once again the exoplex kicked the crap out of it this time 👍

on the 8.5lb phoenix yeah, needs tuning
