People have commented letting me know the show is broken up into two parts! So there are more episodes left than I realized! I will still release a video after part one ends. Part two comes out next year, so maybe I'll just release one video all about part two.

Kim did not deserve the role... she is not an actress and there are people out there who take acting very seriously who would have done a better job.

Interesting. I definitely think you should do a video for episode 4&5 and then when part 2 comes out next year finish the series! These videos are definitely making the show a more enjoyable watch for me since it’s a little slow moving and that long break had me even less interested in keeping up, but knowing where it could go has my interest piqued.

American Horror Story season 12 :Delicate will have 9 episodes with Part 1 being episodes 1--5 from Sep 20th--Oct 18th 2023 and Part 2 being episodes 6--9 from April 3rd--April 24th 2024.

The movie is good, but depressing. I didn’t know much about her life besides who her mother was, so I didn’t realize what she had all gone through before watching the movie.

You make this so very very interesting....Ironically, you mentioning the character Siobhan so much reverberated my memory because if my wife and I had been lucky enough to have a daughter I wanted to name her Siobhan....I had read the name in the Inspector Rebus books by Ian Rankin in the 1990s. Siobhan was his detective partner, a very strong and forthright woman character and I wanted to name our hopeful daughter after her, if we were so lucky to be blessed with a daughter, but I didn't know the pronounciation of the name until I watched the BBC of both Inspector Rebus Mysteries, one series with John Hannah, the other series with Ken Stott..."Shiv-on" is so cool! .Alas, it wasn't meant to be, but "Siobhan" will always be an especial name to me. Just a stupid footnote. Love the Irish names. ...my maternal grandfather was named Elvis. Ain't that a hoot!😎 ...Thank you for your posts and heads-up. I'll get it from my local library, or "sail the seas", if I must...You are much appreciated for the turn-ons.

@WhytheBookWins it was made like that because of the writers' strike, half of the season premiers this year, while the other half premiers sometime next year. In the meantime American Horror Stories will debut with 4 episode in that time window.

In the show emma/Anna notices ivy in the back of the photo darkened by the lighting or simply her mind playing a trick on her before when she looked at it u must’ve missed it it was a fun little nod to the similar situation w the photo in the book
for now there are 2 episodes left, then there will be a hiatus and the other 5 episodes will be the same story. Knowing the series I think they will do something more original and there will be some plot twist, because otherwise I don't know how they could finish the story following the book to the letter.

That would be 11 episodes. Ha I wish! This season of AHS is only 9 episodes like 1984 was. part one is only 5 episodes, so this Wednesday is the mid season finale. Part two is 4 episodes and returns next year.
Watching the show and now your video as a 7-months-pregnant woman. Such a surreal experience, it is my first pregnancy and it gives me a different view on several things. I am glad I have found your channel, now I think I will read the book also 😊

It might have been confusing how I worded it, but in the show Siobhan had a miscarriage while doing IVf whereas the book Siobhan didn't do IVF so that was exclusive to the show.
Yea i won't be watching anything with kim in it but i will definitely watch this

The show is based on Delicate Condition, not Rosemary's Baby. Both books deal with strange pregnancies, but the story itself is very different.

I haven't been I want to! I would most likely compare the book with the 1990 movie though not the TV show. Shows are just so time consuming! But who knows, if I love the book enough I'm sure I would be curious to see what the show is like.
The Gotham awards are a real award ceremony. They are predominantly for independent films along with the Film Independent’s Spirit Awards. Smaller non televised ceremonies for independent films to gain traction as we go into the bigger televised ceremonies like Golden Globes, Critics Choice, SAG, BAFTA, and Oscar.
So nice, how you gave no spoilers. In the show Dexter's character is boring. Was it that way in the book? Just wondering.
I think I found him a bit more intriguing in the book, but overall I think book and movie Dex are pretty comparable so far.

The gotham awards are a real thing. I think it's like an indie movie festival that is specific to New york. I don't know a lot about them so I hope someone else can provide a better answer.
Wow I should have Googled it before I made the video lol, Gotham just made me think of Batman so I assumed it was made up. But it started in 1991 and Wikipedia says The Gotham Awards are American film awards, presented annually to the makers of independent films at a ceremony in New York City.

I know nothing about the book, but find the show super boring (it also doesn't help I don't like 99% of the actors of this season). I'm most like DNF-ing this season, like most of the later season of AHS :x But this video is definitely interesting!

I have never watched any AHS before, and maybe it helps that I have nothing to compare this season with. Because it seems most AHS fans don't like this one, but I've been enjoying it for the most part.

Yeah I don't get when people hold on to baby stuff forever... especially since like you said, her character in the show doesn't want kids!
I thought that was her crib, as in the crib her mother used for her when she was a baby, it's right besides the boxes with all the photos from her childhood, so I thought that was from her childhood aswell
😂 I kept my daughter’s cot bed, Moses basket, high chair, pram, and a few boxes of toys and books. 28 years later, my grandson uses the cot bed and was in the Moses basket during the day when he was first born (new mattress and bedding for both). It has meant that they’ve been able to save money to put towards the equipment that they wanted. The pram we gave away as it had too much of a 90s feel, but the toys and books have been put to good use both at him home, and at mine when I look after him on a weekly basis.
AHS give me Rosemary's Baby vibs. And I hate that movie. Boring as hell

This is kind of its redeeming value though, is it redundant? It uses your knowledge of film to throw you off course. The only thing people have guessed if they don't switch it up is Dex is out getting some.
I refuse to see this after getting the spoilers and synopsis. Exorcist, 9th Configuration and Exorcist 3 as written by WP Blatty is actually his trilogy. The first season of tge tv series The Exorcist treats the original subject matter with more respect than this film seemingly does. DGG just should stop now, he's wasted an expensive and high stakes opportunity.

Thank you for this comparison. Watching this season of AHS (similarly to last season-NYC) feels like a chore. I'm not interested in the poor man's Rosemary's Baby. This season is just hot garbage, imo.
Delicate is better than NYC. But I will say Delicate lacking sub plots like previous seasons had. We got to see the stories of multiple characters instead of just one.
