    Thank you. Have a new one e and was just trying to thread it last night. So well explained and one can SEE what each part does, and what you’re doing.

    I was taught to always thread the machine with the presser feet up so the tension disks are not engaged. That allows the thread to seat fully between the tension disks while threading.
    Many tension issues are directly related to the thread not being fully seated between the tension disks during the threading process.
    Your suggestion to use the needle up/down button to find the correct needle position for the needle threader to work properly is excellent.

    Well the presser foot down for threading vs up as in the manual instructions has sure sent some animosity my way! Jokingly told them to take it up with the Juki experts at JJ. Following this has worked for me for nearly two years, I'm sticking with Boki on this.

    watched other videos on threading and I must have tried for an hour last night- wasn't to frustrated because I read enough reviews to know it was going to take some time to get the "feeling " for it -your little comment at the end about the lighter following pressure on the thread tail was the difference for me! threaded first time!!!!

    How have you found FMQ on a TL series machine using invisible thread - MonoPoly or YLI Wonder invisible thread? In both the top and bobbin, and in the top only with 60 weight polyester in the bobbin? What needle would you recommend ? I have a love/disappointed relationship with my Juki TL2200 QVP Mini, because of tension issues when FMQ on a double size quilt. (Piecing tension is fantastic but then I am not using invisible thread!). At the time of my invisible thread trouble (2017/18) I took the machine multiple times to a sewing machine mechanic, with the end message being that it was the way I was using the machine. Please can you assist? I don't know whether to keep the machine or trade in on a different JUKI. I have been looking for a video on FMQ on your channel but can't find one.

    So confusing! Some say raise presser foot to thread and other videos say lower! Which is it? 🥴

    • @JukiJunkies
      @JukiJunkies  8 месяцев назад

      Which ever you prefer. If you "floss" the thread you can do it with the foot down if not then you do it with the foot up :)

  • @sehryn
    @sehryn 8 месяцев назад +1

    OK. So you only said “needle down” but never said to put the needle up again, yet the video has the needle up! When do we put the needle up?

    • @JukiJunkies
      @JukiJunkies  8 месяцев назад

      Needle down needle up before threading with the auto threader to insure the needle is in the right position.

  • @elimelart
