So cool! Love that the thread is family owned business and made in the USA. I currently use glide 40 for all my sewing except for glide 60 in my janome 550e bobbin for embroidery. I love love love the colors! I haven't tried the Cairo but would like to for piecing. Would the Premosoft lay as flat as the Cairo?
Congratulations. You were selected to WIN OUR GIVEAWAY we showed in this video. Please email sewingmachines411@gmail.com . Provide me your shipping information. Thank you, David
I put polyester thread in the microwave on a paper plate for 4 minutes. About the most time I would reheat anything. I have an 1100 watt microwave. It did not melt, smoke, or change in any way. I just had to try it! I still use all cotton for making microwave bowls, but my curiosity got the best of me!
@dcwatashi It was Omni. It was during the pandemic and I wanted to make sure all the masks I was making could withstand the sanitizing at the hospital.
I don’t have tictok but I am following you all everywhere else. I love the clarification about using different size threads together as long as they’re in the same material family.
You guys are awesome!!! ALWAYS willing to share your knowledge and help others!!!! No one out there provides the support that you guys do with Juki sewing machines, thread, accessories, etc. Love this video on Glide thread. I learned alot. Going to have to try the pre wound bobbins. I love the Glide thread for free motion it is awesome!!! Thank you again for everything you do!!! Please keep up the awesome videos!!!!!
I’ve used Glide 40 on my embroidery machine & TL-18 but just tried it on my blind stitch/hemmer machine and it worked beautifully where other thread brands did not. Loved this segment & Glide thread!!!
Thank you for this informative video! I was always aware of the “numbers” on different thread (40 vs 50), but I didn’t, truly, know the difference between threads, and especially, serger thread. By the way, I LOVE using Glide thread on my quilts!!! Great thread!
Oh this is an amazing video. I have so many thread, bobbin, and needle questions regarding my beautiful JUKI TL18QVP. I love this machine, thank you JUKI JUNKIES, GIGI BOKI and HD. Presley, wonderful explanations on the threads. My favorite to use in quilting.
I want a juki. I’ve been saving, … I use glide on my long arm tiara. It makes such a difference. I used to only think cotton quilts should only use cotton thread for both piecing and quilting. Now I only like using glide for the quilting. I buy the Prewound bobbins. Just found this channel.
Well, Juki Junkies is where I discovered Glide, I purchased the essential bundle when I ordered my TL machine. I’m so grateful for the support and recommendations! I never knew how important thread actually was. So many of my frustrations with sewing were thread related. So far so good with the Glide, no issues!
Excellent info, thank you! Just got the TL18QVP & ordered a bunch of Glide thread & prewound bobbins to try out along with some feet, extra bobbins & fabric.
This was a very informative video! I’m glad I learned about the pre wounds and that my computerized machine should use a different one to my TL!! Also, there’s a typo in the Hab and Dash hashtag in the description.
This is great video full of info! Thanks for all your hard work keeping us informed about our machine and notions to make our sewing adventures a great success!
The 3 of you presented the information in a very useable manner. The pre-wound bobbins are on my wish list to try. I have tried 3 of the 4 and it is difficult to pick a favorite. It is nice to have a choice based on the project. Thank you for your time and expertise. Sparkle On!
I am super curious about new threads, have been using Aurifil for years and would love to find another thread that is great for piecing and quilting! Thank you for the information!
I just purchased Cairo thread. Learned on this video that I should not use my Magnaglide prewounds. Do you carry the magnaquilt prewounds? I did not even know they existed. Is there another cotton prewound to use with my TL? Maybe even not magnetic?
Loved this informative video! Confused that they said Glide 40w should not be used for quilt piecing but in the summary it is recommended. I'd love to try the Cairo but am only interested in the prewound bobbins since they're a game changer! Hope you will carry soon like an essential bundle! Those are awesome
Hi Donna, Just to clarify Glide 40 w can be used for just about any project in mind including piecing and construction of quilts/bags. The only thread we said we don't recommend for construction is the glide 60 because its very thin thread. Glide 60 we recommend for using in the bobbin/embroidery/thread painting.
This information was awesome. Cleared up my confusion on the various thread make up. I learned about another type, magna soft. It’s like glide and Cairo had a baby. Lol
Can glide 40 be used in smaller machines as well? Would love a thread that would work great if I get a Juki TL18 that would also work in my Pfaff Passport
Hello, my singer quantum stylist 9960 takes a 15J bobbin. I like the 40 weight glide thread. I would like to buy the pre-wound bobbins but don’t know if you have those in 15J?
What specifically is the difference between glide and embroidery thread. I have embroidery thread so need to understand why glide would be better for free motion?
So cool! Love that the thread is family owned business and made in the USA. I currently use glide 40 for all my sewing except for glide 60 in my janome 550e bobbin for embroidery. We love this to. Yes it will sew very similar to the cario thread.
Congratulations. You were selected to WIN OUR GIVEAWAY we showed in this video. Please email sewingmachines411@gmail.com . Provide me your shipping information.

@@JukiJunkies !!!? Wow! I just saw this and sent an email in case there's still time! 😂

Super informative! Can’t wait for the industrial machine thread video
I wish I could post a video on here. My dog stopped in his tracks when I turned on this video and watched it for almost 2 minutes. Lol 😂
I know it was mentioned in the video but could we be expecting a thread video like this for industrial machines very soon?
I don’t have tictok but I am following you all everywhere else. I love the clarification about using different size threads together as long as they’re in the same material family.
Thank you Frank.
Love my Juki, it likes Aurofil. Will have to try some of your selections.
You totally should. I liked Aurifil until I got Glide. Now I want to sell all my Aurifil lol
I have Juki industrial machine have always used the pre wined bobbins in them

Thread is one of the basic ingredients to create a masterpiece! So use the best!
Totally agree!
I love fil tech bobbins. Get them all the time for sewing and embroidery.
I’ve used Glide 40 on my embroidery machine & TL-18 but just tried it on my blind stitch/hemmer machine and it worked beautifully where other thread brands did not. Loved this segment & Glide thread!!!
Very helpful! I really need to try the pre wound bobbins.
Just watched the video on oiling the TL machine. Dry clear, concise and informative. Thank you, Debra Diaz

Would really like to see a close up of the Glide magnetic bobbins on Juki TL machines. I don't understand how to use them.
Thank you Eric we loved that.
@@JukiJunkies sorry not on Facebook
So glad you made this video, you answered so many questions about thread
I love the 60 weight for piecing or paper piecing quilts. The thinner thread doesn’t take up space so you get a more accurate quarter inch seam.
I hemmed a satin prom dress with 50wt cotton and I am sorry I didn’t use my Glide. It would have turned out with less bulk. Lesson learned.
You have enlighten me once again. (made in USA) Can't wait for tex Thread video.
Looking forward to the new needle video,
Thank you so much: I enjoy all your videos and have learned so much already. Glad I found your channel 👍🏻
You are so welcome!
I’m just getting into bag making and am wondering about machines and thread and you all have been a big help with both!!
I love Glide. Best thread EVER.
The bobbins look intriguing.
They’re awesome :)
I adore Glide. I have so many in my collection. Now I want to try some Primo-Soft. That looks amazing, even on the video.

I will have to try Glide on my TL as I usually use Aurifil. I thought piecing needed to be with cotton.
I’ll be picking one comment on this video to win everything we showed physically in this video :)) COMMENT below to enter!
Great , will do.
I love my Glide thread!

I use glide 40 for piecing and quilting both.❤ are those bobbins compatible with our Jukis?
Yes :)
Are you saying we can use prewound in our JUKI 18QVP?
Which thread would be used for making pit holders and bowl covers yhat would not melt and i believe it needs yo be 100% cotton?
Thank you 😊
Can glide 40 be used in smaller machines as well? Would love a thread that would work great if I get a Juki TL18 that would also work in my Pfaff Passport
Yes you can use in both :)
So question with the bobbins do you take the spring out of your bobbin
Its recommended watch this video ruclips.net/video/EEEM9k8jWdY/видео.htmlsi=Tc1e25t1RcJ3HvD3
Hello, my singer quantum stylist 9960 takes a 15J bobbin. I like the 40 weight glide thread. I would like to buy the pre-wound bobbins but don’t know if you have those in 15J?
Unfortunately we don't carry those in that style.
What specifically is the difference between glide and embroidery thread. I have embroidery thread so need to understand why glide would be better for free motion?
Do you need to put a netting on the spools while sewing to keep the tension just right
IT helps
Love it !
Can the glide be used for home decor sewing?
Yes :)
Can all sewing machines be used for free moton?
Not all no
Great know that this thread can be used for quilting. Appreciate all the information.
You are so welcome!
can i use the prewound 40 in a juki nx7?
Glide 60 is that good for piecing?
Yes it is :)
Can I use the magna glide in my J150 QVP??
YES
Where i can find this bigger bobbin?
What the difference between Gutterman cottons and Cairo?
Cario is a long staple cotton that's going to minimize the lint build up a lot more. :)
Thank you,
David
What about Tex thread?
definitely a future video we want to do :)
I hate advertising
your videos on the JUKI is excellent, BUT your sound is too low to head all the script, also you three speak too fast for follow.
