You my friend are amazing... And to think I've been driving this truck for a month dealing with this crap and all I had to do was Google, how to straighten steering wheel on freightliner, and I would have found you.... Amazing, thank you so much
Lol no problem
Thank you sir! more videos need to be like this, right to the point and in point of view.
I knew it was going to be easy but not this easy lol. Thanks!
Works like a charm, thanks man.
Thanks, I have to do that exact thing. Now I’ve got a plan !
Great job brother!!!
Awesome video. Thanks
I can use this with other vehicles..THANK YOU!
Now that was easy thanks
Good stuff G
That works if the problem actually was the steering wheel. Can you turn the wheel the same amount in both directions? If the pitman arm has been off and wasn't reinstalled exactly the same your steering wheel will be off.
Thanks brother
Still do your front axle alignment to be safe those front tires can be pricey
My truck is a 2014 freightliner, mine says srs airbag on the steering wheel..would that make a difference?
Catching hell trying to get the wheel up to adjust any suggestions?
U can adjust it on steer box too
Thanks 👍 could you let me is this possible to set up direct from steering shaft ?( From the steering box shaft)
I think steering box shaft has abs sensor that will stop working if u miss align it there
Did it work?
How i do it on volvo 1999?
Note. This is not a Alignment.get the truck alignment first. Then do this
Does this affect the wheel alignment if the wheels were aligned previously ?
No. Wheel alignment would not be affected.
@@DIYMafia Thanks very much
I have this problem with my international LT. Do you think it would be the same way to fix that thing? It looks like your same setup.
Absolutely. Most vehicles (cars, trucks, semi) have the same setup. The size of the socket might be different but the procedure would be identical
Most vehicles have the same or similar setups. 1 bolt/nut in the center
@Eric Kimmy lol. It'll be easy and I doubt you'll make it worse. Plus all Japanese cars are easy to work on. Very forgiving
Thanks, appreciate the help. But everything still workout? (Like alignment and stuff?)
Yes. No alignment issues and I could finally see my speedometer while driving lol. Easy DIY fix
If you go to TA or Loves they will try to exaggerate the problem like doing an innovation 😂 and charge you at least $350😆. Thanks for a video buddy. Yesterday I stuck in the mud. And called tow truck. After pulling from my steering rims steering wheel is not straight anymore
Does this work on a volvo?
Get a alignment first. Then do this. And be very mindfull of the air bag
I wish it was this easy for a volvo with airbag I fucking loathe a crooked wheel
You need stability control calibration after you moved the steering angle moved
Who up?
I have a airbag on mine
Me too
Don't do it if u have an airbag, cuz there's gonna be a clock spring and u don't wanna mess with that lol
Man and they try to charge a hour for that
This isn't the correct way. Only a band aid. Now you're gear box and clockspring are out of line. Steering angle will be off.
How to adjust the steering wheel correctly?
@baodi666 Align the gearbox to the steering wheel not the steering wheel to the gearbox.
